It is traditional for an oriental show to include a folklore tableau. For a while khaliji was the in thing, currently in Egypt more of the African countries are popular for folklore. Nubian (which we see more often with Egyptian folklore/Oriental) is only one of the many beautiful African folklore styles. The relaxed nature of the dancing/synchronization etc is VERY TYPICAL of the group folklore section in an oriental show "over there." No more/no less special attention was given.

Almost enough to keep me from wanting to attend the Festival next year. Really, really, really offensive to me. I agree with Naimah. And Africans are much more dignified than that in their tribal dance - reminds me of the 1930 movies - where is Bwana when you need him? Revolting.
