  • unsa man ni ui...

  • dammit. this is the saddest thing i've seen in quite some time.

  • Do u still doubt evolution?

  • so lonely :(

  • wtf did it die? omg i dont think i wanna know. such a beautiful creature man. i love it.

  • everytime someone says that an animal will die, i begin to cry ;s

  • So fake. Everybody knows polar bears swim in Coca-Cola.

But aside from the joke, Poor Polar Bears :'(

  • FUUUUCK NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • Just how do they make this videos, how?

  • The polar bear population has increased fivefold the last 50 years. Look it up for yourselves!

  • @ThorkilKowalski "As of 2008, the World Conservation Union (IUCN) reports that the global population of polar bears is 20,000 to 25,000, and is declining. In 2006, the IUCN upgraded the polar bear from a species of least concern to a vulnerable species. It cited a "suspected population reduction of >30% within three generations (45 years)", due primarily to climate change".

  • @Julie15gtc

20,000 to 25,000 is way higher than it has been for a very long time:

"The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service estimates that the polar bear population is currently at 20,000 to 25,000 bears, up from as low as 5,000-10,000 bears in the 1950s and 1960s. A 2002 U.S. Geological Survey of wildlife in the Arctic Refuge Coastal Plain noted that the polar bear populations 'may now be near historic highs,'" it read. What you are writing is mere alarmist speculation. Pure fantasy.

  • @Julie15gtc

"The Inuit have always insisted the bears' demise was greatly exaggerated by scientists doing projections based on fly-over counts, but their input was usually dismissed as the ramblings of self-interested hunters.

As Nunavut government biologist Mitch Taylor observed in a front-page story in the Nunatsiaq News last month, "the Inuit were right. There aren't just a few more bears. There are a hell of a lot more bears.""

  • @ThorkilKowalski The reason there are more bears is because there are now strict regulations against hunting them. That doesn't change the fact that polar bears are dying because of ice melting. Huge chunks are in fact melting, earlier and earlier. That's a fact. And ice is in fact what allows them to hunt for food. It doesn't take a lot to put two and two together.

  • @Julie15gtc

My claim was that there are more polar bears today than at any point during the last 50 years. That is a fact and is beyond discussion.

Regarding the global warming: polar bears have been around for more than 100,000 years which means they lived during the Eemian (an interlacial) period which was 6-10 degrees Celcius warmer than it is today!

Yes, increaing the amount of CO2 raises the temperature, but in NO way to unprecedented levels. The alarmists are wrong and they have an agenda

  • PROPAGANDA at it's finest... why didn't they add some flying penguins to this one as well? Any moron can see, the bear is floating on it's body fat, and paddling alone leisurely... he's not going to drown... he's looking for the dead whale he can smell, which they will swim out hundreds of kilometres to get to! BBC lies, just like the Scientists from the Royal BS(Bullshit Science) society.

  • made me cry every time i see it

  • @Connor664 this made me cry too! its so sad :(

  • nice breaststroke there mr polar bear

  • hope he's ok and found land

  • which swimming styles if done regularly will make you grow taller?

  • awe, poor bear .. i hope he doesn't drown :[ .. its so sad how his environment is melting away :/ i love polar bears, they are so beautiful and talented <3

  • @ninalynxoxo Polar Bears are actually incredible swimmers and survivor/hunters. This bear is amazing

  • surely we humans are the greatest curse to ever have inhabit earth. Will god ever forgive us for what we have done and continue to do to nature?

  • @life2lifele55 Fuck you no human!

  • "in these new surroundings, he is surprisingly adept at swimming"

hahaha, he says that as if the ice doesn't melt every year. global warming didn't create summertime. no wonder the polar bear is apedt at swimming because he does it every year!

the plight of this polar bear is an exaggerated dramatization made convincing by well-edited footage. the vulnerability of their species is speculation. dont worry ....polar bears are doing just fine in most of the arctic

  • they can swim approx 60 miles = 97 KM

  • I'm crying while seeing this video.. it breaks my heart

  • Of course the Earth's atmosphere is changing, the same way it has changed over the past 3.8 billion years. This planet has been hot, cold, more CO2, less CO2. There have been mass extinctions, ocean have risen and fallen, ice sheets have advanced and retreated long before man came along. In fact, for most of Earth's history, it had NO permanent ice. We're at the end of an ice age. The Earth is returning to normal.

  • @azimuth361 Mammoths, wooly rhinos, saber tooth tigers, and other megafaunas have seen 100's of ice ages come and gone. If it was not for men these impressive beasts would probably still have roamed this planet. Oneday polar bears will be gone along with many other present day megafaunas and their skeletons will be on display in museums around the world right beside dinosaur skeletons. What nature does in 100's of millions of years we human are doing this in a matter of a few thousand years.

  • I do not believe in global warming and i think polar bears will adapt. Besides its summer and the ice melts each year. However I think the ice is melting because of the energy of nuclear tersting during the cold war , were still getting out of an ice age , or natrual season change. If the ice is like that in the winter at the north pole then theres a problem

  • That's so sad ;_;

  • @bLoodykNuklz Look. I'm not ragging on you man. I'm not hating what you're saying. I'm just a little disgusted as to most people parroting what they hear and not research it from all sides. You're theory of the poles shifting is a very good analysis. I've looked into a similar theory that the earth is at a wobble. since the earth spins and orbits. Who is to say that we are at a perfect spin or orbit? And since we as humans can't individually control the cosmos, why must we be driven to hysteria

  • thats scary water

  • @bLoodykNuklz Nothing is right when you dictate it. It is what is. The earth has been hotter on record. And though this winter may have felt the coldest, but it's been colder.Co2 has been higher. Even though it's unusually low now. It's been lower. This is what happens when you con people into believing they are scum and how dare they live normal lives. This is indeed evil. And the earth won't flood. Try to put ice in water. You will notice as ice melts the volume of the glass lowers.

  • polar bears swim in the ocean for miles. I watched a deer swim 3 miles across a lake because we were beating are hammers building a house in Idaho. global warming is a scam. If there is no problem they will not be paid to fix a problem. scare mongering is there business. remember in the seventy,s they said it was global cooling. Liars all of them with no true science to back.

  • Well that comment was just so wrong...

  • Okay okay, everyone SHUTUP! Shut UP damn it!

    Just enjoy the video, geeeze.

  • What absurd propaganda for such a beautiful site to behold! We see more polar bears because there are more of them. These guys can swim 100 miles.

I wish everyone who sees this enjoyment without the ridiculous AGW guilt.

  • The way he swims... is a state of art. So relaxing watching him swim.

  • @hideare yeah i agree- so graceful and i hope that cute fellow found sum eats and land

  • I'd like to see you right wing dipshit shills for the billionaire oil business swimming and trying to use your big cars and credit cards after global warming turns out to be true . It's your planet/home to fuck wad. Love it or leave as you guys like to say.BWUHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • I agree, I think a lot of these people will be terribly surprised. Global warming comes with many huge consequences.

  • Polar Bears seen over 60 miles from the shore and these global warming assholes say they cant swim. Did they steal a boat?? He will drown if he doesnt find land. BULLSHIT! They know how to survive. They are wild creatures.

All you climate change moron's just got bitch slapped the other day. CLIMATEGATE!!!

Its all a fucking lie!! Your brilliant scientists are full of shit. Al Gore is a con man and you all got scammed. LMAO

Stop being idiots and wake up.

  • @ARBuilder1776 But one day he will grow tired of swimming, you do too. So why wouldn't polar bears?

  • @Alishondra Then I guess he'll have Al Gore drive him around is his limo. You fucking hippies are falling for it. Don't you know Al Gore is an oil man? Don't you know about his investment firm Blood&Gore? Yes thats its real name. He will make billions off of carbon credits along with Obama and Goldman Sachs. ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY PEOPLE! Wake the fuck up. ClimateGate should have showed you that they are liars. The temps. are NOT going up. CO2 is bad huh? WTF do you think trees and plants live on??

  • @ARBuilder1776 Erh.. that was not the subject I'm implying on and I can't read in my comment that I said anything about Al Gore and plants and everything? So your comment is irrelevant. You've made your point, stated your opnion and step aside to let people state theirs.

  • There really is so much beauty in decay... Love X

  • poor polar bear ;(

  • sick of greedy human activities in this planet! until when we will aware of such disaster?!

  • im worried that itll be too late when people finally all go "oh....this IS happening"

  • wow that was very sad. the global warming needs to be stopped!

  • Have you even seen this series? I ask because it's clearly stated that what the polar bear is facing has nothing to do with global warming. The ice melts in the summer every year in the Arctic due to the sun not setting for about 4 months - In fact it halves in size in the summer and doubles back in the winter. So don't make the tolling of the polar bear about a false cause of yours - and appreciate the vast diversity and richness of the planet and the struggles and achievements of animals.

  • if you had seen the series, you would know that it has everything to do with global warming lol. the ice melts earlier and earlier each year as the temperature rises, and the polar bear will find it harder and harder to survive the summer as this gets more severe, just 2 videos back in this playlist it explains that :D

  • Their are plenty of polar bears

  • and you have plenty of ignorance.

  • yep thats exactly what I replied to hthat person in denial.

  • @jmrut1992

You haven't looked up climate gate have you? Cooked books and what not. Prof.Phil Jones and Micheal Mann should be prosecuted for fraud. Explain global warming to the farmers in Plant City Florida that nearly lost their crops this winter. They produce 2/3 of this nations strawberries. News flash. We exhale CO2 and plants absorb it. Just like plant omit oxygen.

  • @chowwanger i've never once heard a scientific explanation of how rising CO2 levels would NOT raise the global average temperature, but I'd love to hear one, so go right ahead, I trust the majority of scientists who attest to global warming not because they are scientists but because they make sense, and the neocons who spout off nonsense about cold winters clearly do not even understand the science they are talking about, so why should I listen to them.

  • @jmrut1992 . Have you lived under a rock for the past several months? The leaked emails from East Anglea & Penn State between Micheal Man,Phil Jones, as well as heads from the EU & UN admitt that they have been cooking the numbers since 1995. This evidence is why the Global Warming treaty in Copenhagen has FAILED. I guess the 600+climatologists that opposw this notion of global warming are wrong too. Believe me. I trust the neocons about as much as you. I believe giving money to Al Gore helps.

  • @chowwanger I mean doesn't help. Making Al Gore rich solves nothing

  • @chowwanger Dont forget Obama and his friends at Goldman Sachs

  • @chowwanger Claiming there is some vast scientific conspiracy is a bold, extraordinary claim, one that requires extraordinary evidence.

  • @jmrut1992 but they wont die all so its nature .

  • @jmrut1992 If you actually didn't get all your facts from youtube videos, you would know that polar bear populations are on the rise. Also, look how this polar bear swims. To me it swims like a boss, and it looks like it is covering more area swimming than it would walking on top of the ice sheet.

  • @WhiteGangster400 your either stupid or just a fucking liar. regarless of which do you know how stupid you sound," he swims like a boss and covers more ground without the sea ice".

  • But in the "diaries" section , im very sure they state that the ice is receeding earlier than usual.

  • @TruthUnmasked Idiots like you need to be stopped. Al Gore and his carbon credit scam need to be stopped. AL Gore, that guy with 7 homes and the private jet. You know who he is right?

The same douche bag asshole who wants to charge me for driving to work or having a nice house or well for anything. A Tax on living paid to the Government through Al Gores company Gore and Blood. Just look it up. He will make billions off this scam. BILLIONS!!!!!!

    WAKE THE FUCK UP !!!!!!!

  • How doe's he know to do that? Fascinating stuff!

  • Awesome, one of the all-time highlights of celluloid!

  • I hope aLL of those of you 'humans' who UNconsciously Continue to POLLUTE this planet with your Unrecycled GARBAGE from your Endless Consumption END uP like this Poor Bear. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU FOR NOT STOPPING YOUR INSANE CONSUMPTION & POLLUTION that 'creates' GLOBAL WARMING !

  • vegan diet is most effective way to cut down on emmissions stop eating flesh please everyone

  • stop eating flesh? you mean, as omnivores, we are supposed to stop eating meat? meat is part of a balanced diet. YET AGAIN, all that needs to be done is effective monitoring of the killing of animals. 90% of meat eaters would never consider becoming vegan, and its not being shallow minded, its healthy and its available, so why not eat it?

  • Says the guy on a computer. your using electricity and im pretty sure that means youre an 'insane consumer' and are strengthening global warming. theres no way you can remove anything from modern life, it just needs to be monitored more effectively.

  • your nervous, rambling attempt at justification reveals your insecurity with your own way of life. you need to look deeper into the facts camel

  • @JBME OOPS hope my 5.6 liter V8 nissan titan that only gets 14mpg didn't hurt you to badly, or my 2 stroke 225HP motorboat that burns up about 20 gallons in a day.

  • I feel a tear well up.

  • Beautiful !

  • Propaganda???? what? you thinking some sort of conspiracy theory? aznthg27

  • LOL Polar BEARS CAN SWIM UP TO 200 Miles in a day so its not that rare to see a polar bear swimming. WOW Anyone heard of propaganda?

  • polar bears are good fighter yes, but they get eaten by sharks in the wild, its a proven fact. polar bears like to hunt in groups of around 10 bears, they talk by growling to each other in low frequencies that other creatures cant hear. each group has a leader called the king, who basically tells the other bears what to do. this video shows a lone bear, who likely got split up from his group when the others chased a whale they saw in the water and this one chased after the seal and got lost.

  • Just because they can, doesn't mean they should. They are having to swim farther out because the ice shelf that they once walked on is disappearing. Mix that in with a diminishing food source, these poor animals may not have the energy to swim back to a solid landmass.

  • fuck you man you heartless fuck

  • a bear getting lost at the sea

    is this global warming ???????

  • its nature some animals just dont survive

  • dude stfu we are causing this for generations we had it coming!!!!

  • so what do you propose aside from telling people to STFU

  • Global warming may be contributing to the fact that polar bears are having to swim farther out to find nourishment.

  • ok

    got it !!!

    thanks

  • NNNOOOO RRREEEAAALLLYYY????????

  • Dont be silly, it take 100,000 of years if not millions for the environment to exact a pressure which will wrought a change in the organism... especially if one considers that types of speciation that would be required to allow this great and magnificent animal viability in its niche.(HENCE WE NEED TO PROTECT THEM!!!). My kindest regards,

  • I love you

  • It will be interesting to see if this animal will have time to adapt to this change.

  • Wow. Poor guy. :/ That's Gobal Warming for ya.

  • wow...such a powerful yet graceful fella

  • Incredible. So anthropomorphic, weird how religion blinded so many generations as to the truth of our Homo Sapien existence.

  • sad

  • poor Bear... most likely WILL drown because we've melted all the ice.

  • wow.. amazing !!

He uses same kind of breaststroke technique.... the legs movement (frog's kick) are exactly the same to humans...

There you have it, three different species with same physiological behaviors .... thats got to mean something...

  • Mean what?

  • We are all tetrapods...

  • Yes, let's just hope they don't become extinct from all the warming. Cute little fellas.

  • Little?

  • Well, the babies are cute little fellas. The adults are cute fellas. lol

  • Well you are right about that.

  • holy cow...!

  • That's amazing swiming skills.

  • and it's freezing !!!
