  • hey I seen one for sale near me. looking for 3,900. very nice shape

  • @MrRackensack Get it and bring it to Macungie!!

  • @rustandgrease i dont have 34 cents let alone 3400 hundred buti would if i could

  • The wrecker we have has a 425 Horse Cat in it with that whistle it sure sounds nice!

  • A friend of my father has one with CAT 3406 or something like that.

Its hard to found a GMC 5 stars with cummins original from factory

  • @alex189100 I have never seen a General with a Cat but I have talked to owners of two of them. I have seen quite a few with Cummins and actually had 2 with a Cummins. Of course the majority of them had Detroits. I have actually had to show doubters my literature that shows Cat and Cummins were options. In my opinion the one you know with a Cat is probably even more rare than mine with a Cummins!

  • the turbo whir is nice. I wish I had the opportunity to drive one.

  • I will be selling another General soon if you want one.

  • how much?

  • @rustandgrease how much for it

  • @MrRackensack

Nothing like a Cummins Big Cam III.

  • Is that Cummins in that thing? Sounds like it.

  • Oh yeah!

  • Sweet

  • @rustandgrease Sweet!!

  • Thanks for mentioning my channel.

  • nice work! you know one day we b missin this!

  • Thanks!

  • When you drive a truck like this, do you basically have to floor it all the time? Like when you shift from gear to gear, do you just floor it until you're ready to shift again?

  • You don't have to but it will get you to the next shift quicker. In that respect it is the same as a car or pick-up.

  • nice truck

  • hmmm that turbo sounds nice

  • Nice rig dude. How much did u pay for it?

  • Enough, but not as much as I sold it for... I did do alot of work to it though.

  • That sux dude. What kinda truck ur working on now?

  • Check out my channel, it is the background and the featured video. I also have another one as well but to see any video of it look for CheyenneBlueHorse in my friends and check out the videos of the GMC General on her channel... that is mine as well. Eventually I will get more videos up, it is just a busy summer!!

  • Thanx.

  • That is a beaut! I love those 'ol Generals!

  • Thanks! Did you check out the video of my new long hood with the sleeper? I also just got another long hood, and this one has an 8V92. I don't have anything posted for the one with the Detroit yet, but CheyenneBlueHorse in my friends has some video of it running. Check it out when you have a chance. Thanks again!

  • 萌え☆

  • sounds absolutely BEAUTIFUL. nothin like a big Cummins.

  • Thanks, but that makes me miss it even more! Did you check out the videos of my newest General? I will soon post some of it running. It has a Big Cam 400, and wow I amazed by the power it has.

  • haha i'd miss a beauty like that too. i still gotta check out your new ones. im guessing this one has a 350 Big Cam Cummins right? ah them ole' Cummins were the good engines. gotta love a Jimmy

  • Yes, this has a 350 Big Cam. I had changed the fuel button and reshimed the pump, and man it ran great!

  • it sure does sound like it! i mean just listen to the whistle of that turbo. aw man thats a sweet truck.

  • that truck is beautiful i famr with my dad and brother and we have a 85 and 86 both with 8v92's they have been pretty good trucks for us

  • Thanks for the compliment! It's cool you guys have some! Post some videos or pictures of them. I love Generals, I sold this one but I got another. Check out my chanel for video of the new one.

  • The one thing I hated about those Brigadoons was the steering.Nice looking machine, power was based on what ever set of ponies you had, mostly destroy-its, but turned like a dinosaur with hemeroids.I did enjoy driving the GMC.s back in the late 70's early 80's.

  • Ok General or what would become the Brigadoons over all.

  • GMC general . not engine cummins NT 855 . needs detroit 8V92

  • I have nothing against Detroits or any other diesel make, but I'll take the power of the Cummins over a Detroit. Plus this is what it came with from new, I wouldn't change it.

  • Back in "88 I drove for an Owner Operator and drove his old truck. It was an `85 General with 350 Cummins and a 13 speed and a 36 inch bunk that I couldn`t get comfortable in. Your video brings back some good and not so good memories. Thanks for posting!

  • Sorry for the bad memories! This one had a 350 Cummins with a 9 speed. Check out my other videos, I have some pictures of the one I got to replace this. It has a 400 Cummins, 13 speed, and a 40" bunk. I just got it on the road and will post some more videos of it soon. I am glad you enjoyed it!

  • LOVE THAT TURBO!!!!!!!! but it sounds like a cummins or more like a cumapart! needs the Detroit 6v92 now thats an engine!

  • She looks good, for an '84. Nice Work!

  • Thanks, but I just sold it last week! I will pass the compliment on to the new owner. When I get the next truck cleaned up I will post some videos of it as well.

  • do you drive that everyday?

  • No, but it could be. I just use it for fun, going to truck and tractor shows and pulling a flatbed trailer with other old trucks or tractors on it.

  • my dad would also like that

  • Let him know... it is FOR SALE! The price keeps going down, I would like to get it sold.

  • my dad has two one has a sleeper he is not selling with double headlights and a green dump truck with 400 cat he is not selling with single headlights

  • I would love to find one with a sleeper! The double headlight version is the 5 star General and the single headlight is just the plain General. I guess the 5 star just had some more of the delux trim available.

  • how much do what for her and where are you at?

  • Why are you giving this truck up?

  • I hate to but my family is growing and I am running out of seats in this one. I will be looking for something like this, but with a sleeper so I can fasten car seats in the bunk. If you want to buy it, I still have it.

  • Sorry I can't take it, perhaps a close friend of yours might...
