There you had to combine at least 8-9 moves and you had the EXCEL in everyone to chain inside combos....SF 4 has very easy trials compaired to the EX series...Myself I did all of Ryu's trials in SF 4 with a keyboard while the pc was lagging.......If you haven't played the EX just practice in getting faster fingers and playing in VERY HARD MODE!!!!!! ; )

you gotta do the ex attack right when he's firing it, press the focus key as soon as you press the hadoken combination. just add it to the list of buttons to be pressed very very fast in one go :D

if you dash back it's easier, as you can pull off the ultra almost immediately and it will hit. If you dash forward it's possible, but you have to wait about half a second :)

u can dash to both sides, u just have to calculate the time before Dan hits the ground to do the ultra. I found it easier to dash back if Dan is in the corner, but if not then dashing forward should be easier.

For slower people, forward buffering is a good direction.

Just get as close as possible and when the guy is hit he flys for live 3 frames which is time to do that

You can link a EX tatsu with EX hadoken with Metsu, Which is a much better way to spend EX bars

2:50 I've been literally trying this for 45 minutes now. I do the jump hp hk and the shinku hadoken fine but I guess the shinku hadoken is done too late? It doesnt feel like its too late it looks right but the game isnt counting it as a success. The video looks like the shinku comes out halfway through the hk and mine is coming just after it. I've tried doing the shinku faster but it doesnt seem to be working. Any advice?

if you have an xbox controller i found using the dpad works best for that trial. just the press where forward and down meet + Hp twice and you should get. it worked well for me

That has to be some crazy timing, because I'm having a difficult time trying to connect Shoryuken to Shinku Hadoken after doing the jump Heavy Kick and Heavy Punch. I can do the Shoryuken to Shinku Hadoken part alone (with some luck) though, which annoys me.

I had the same problem, just try to pause the game just when u know u have done the hard kick, then relax for a few seconds, and try to do the shinku, or u could just at the time u do the hard kick, but I mean when u have pressed the button, dont even wait for Ryu to do it, just make the shinku hadooken right away. hope it helps.

just a tip when you get to the hard trials and you are trying to do the ultra after the ex focus cancel you have to tap back back or forward forward after the ex focus cancel for the ultra to come out you can't go right into the motion because that would be too easy right...-_-

I can't chain a hard kick to the EX focus attack. Even in training mode it will show me hitting the absolute correct move but it won't chain them.

Whenever I do the Heavy Punch it takes so long to perform that the sequence resets and I have to start over.

if you are playing on the 360 switch your HP from the right trigger to x and the HK to A. it cuts down the button reaction time a treat i use the triggers for the lights.

It's also useful for the combo after that Y and B should be your medium punch and kick respectivley use the medium punch for the shoryuken that way its easier to interrupt it for the super fireball

the ultra requires you to press a button that youve set all 3 punches to. Look in your button config, it gets a lot harder than this aha

Say you are playing Balrog and want to do his B, F, HP to a Super B, F, B, F, 3x P.

This is how it really should go down:

Charge B, F, HP, B, F, 3x P. The 1st B, F counts for the super, following? So essentially you don't need to charge twice.

Earlier in the trial they have you do the HP>Shoryuken. I could be mistaken though that might be in Ken's trial but I recommend to just focus on those specific moves. Stand next to Dan and try and consistently do the HP>Shoryuken. After you got it down pretty good you can should be able to link the before & after moves.

Oh and also what I tend to do as I feel like it responds better is to use a different P button.

In this case since you are using HP, I'd use an LP Shoryuken.

In most cases, if allowed, I always change the follow-up punch button to a different one previously used.

I can do a charge, but some moves make you do a charge and then make you do like another charge (but its not a charge)... If you understand lol.

I always make sure I'm right next to the character and as soon as you hit HP start the motion for shoryuken. Takes a bit because I know sometimes instead you would instead do a hadoken. If thats your problem just keep trying and practice the motion for the Shoryuken and make sure you can do it consistently.

I find it easier to start the HP while moving forward. That makes it to where you have basically started the shoryuken motion when the punch is in motion. All that's left is doing the bottom part of the DRP motion while the HP is in its animation.
