I don't think it's the python script.. I have the blue'ish color with the light theme, which changes to red with the dark theme. On your video you seem to have the opposite. You know where I can just change the color used for the dark theme?
Strange. Take a look at the file "colors/dark.xml" and change the value at "BackgroundFilterColor". But with your effect you maybe have to change it in "colors/defaults.xml". You should also try downloading the latest version of PlexAlaska, maybe that fixes your problem.
