This man is amazing and is the only choice for President. To suggest otherwise is comical, no more trickle down economics, no more privatizing and bogging down our military, no more borrowing $3 trillion from China to fund a mismanaged war in the wrong country.
Talk to someone who supports hezzbollah and tell me they're much different from a Bush supporter. McCain is even worse, he thinks we're better off. Bush knows he's a failure, these cons suceeded in selling out America, congrats u lose.
He's a badass. I don't give a shit how much hill expirience he has. These are fast times to live in, and Obama's left McCain in the dust. OBAMA ALL DAY EVERY DAY BABY
Wow this guy is phenomenal he can single change what so many have died for this is truly history in the making and we are all part of it and it does not matter rather you are rep or dem you have to acknowledge these man brilliance GO OBAMA!!!!
On the issue of "genius" I guess my question would be, how do you know? We've not seen any geniuses as heads of state to qualify your remark. And Barack Obama is no genius, nor need he be. He is not a messiah, not the second coming. He cannot walk on water. What he is IS a leader. Leaders set agendas and plan courses of action. So I support him, because as a leader, he can provide a vision for us all to aspire to--not for a perfect outcome, but a MORE perfect union. I also remain vigilant.
do you, cause no one in America besides you wants to stay in iraq. and this, coming from from someone, who lived in an area that the government, in their hour, nay YEARS of need, ignored for so long. Its sad how you can vote for McCain, even knowing that he is no better then bush on pretty near much EVERYTHING.
But get this, we have been at war with a country in which we were told had WEAPONS of MASS destruction but really didn't.Just think this was figured out by the one's that are EXPERIENCED on issues abroad! One question, wheres Bin Ladin? Looks to me experience is not of the essence it never was! The EXPERIENCED are dumber than ever.
I think it's healthy to have reservations about any politician - none of them are perfect. The difference I believe is in having a candidate who isn't afraid to say what he thinks and feels and believes, and to let the people decide for themselves. Obama isn't just spouting off rhetoric. The reason he's so popular is because he says it like it is. He refuses to sugar coat the truth, and for the first time in a very long time, the citizens of the world, especially Americans, are taking notice.
iraq might be safer, but the government WE put in is horrible. and how many more lives, and how much more money will you be willing to spend on this war?
Pacbiggie ...... invading Iraq was a good idea? .... looool @ making progress ... I would hope so after nearly 6 years of destruction!!! Imagine all of the progress we would have made against Al-Qaida had we not of invaded Iraq. By the way genius, the Iraqi government was elected by the Iraqi people. To answer your question about how much more money we need to spend .... guess what .... with a real leader, we wouldn't of spent a single cent!!!!!!
I truly like how everyone argues about Obama's experience. We've had experienced people running this country into the ground since the 80's. You act as if a few years in the trade will suddenly have your predicting the occurence and solution of all world issues. This is the governing of a country that we're talking about, not which mouth breather should run the register at burger king. If Obama would just stick to his guns and quit second guessing himself he'd be even more popular.
i really think we need a young person like obama.. i think if he actually communicates with the youth and the community.. then he has more then enough chances to win this election.. Obamas views are one of the best. the fact that his democratic views. are thus the best i've heard this far. he's right..
The world isnt a democracy anymore after bush.. Billions of people dissagree with the war in iraq. but none of our views or opinions are took into notice. Americans need to make a stand
I worry about his (and McCain's) lack of understanding of the world scene. "Centerfuges spinning under Iranian soil"...? Are these the same centerfuges that the CIA said in the National Security Estimate of 2007 had been shut down, with no signs of being restarted? Is Barack Obama going to be another misguided war-hawk president?
Fact is, Iran is a democracy, with a huge pro-western population. Ahmadinujad's fundamentalist party was losing popular support until we started threatening them!
Please post some critism on McCain's youtube account and Obama's account. One of them deletes all traces of criticism. Screw the media, and find out for yourself... who is the real poser and coward?
Yeah we need the kind of experience that twenty plus years in congress will bring, like war, a sagging economy with high gas prices and high food cost, falling wages and record high foreclosures by ordinary American citizens and a President and a nominee for President who is supported and advised by twenty year politicians who say that Americans are "Whiners" and that the economy is just fine.
Obama is a realist, unlike McCain. We can not afford to continue invading two different foreign country's, Afghanistan and Iraq. Let alone a 3rd Iran. Our country is not invincible and sooner or later the burden will be to much.Obama can end the war in Iraq and will focus on Afghanistan. Saving money for rebuilding our Health Care and Education Systems and many other government funded programs that could save our country from private interest groups like the Oil and pharmaceutical companies.
I`m not American but I wonder how someone can prefer Mr.McCain instead of Mr.Obama who seems to have more logic and an exact and deeper vision which seems to me more human than mr. McCain who uses just old tactics and has no longterm vision and his main base of supports are: rich people benefiting war,and hardline fanatic white christian protestants.for an outsider like me this election is interesting because it will show me and the world that how much openminded or fanatic American majority is.
and u think that voting for mccain is going to help anything omg people can't u see this man if u vote for mccain he's going to follow bush step and the f..k up mthing is he told u that nothing is wrong with bush polcies last time i check gas prices has risen food prices have gone up plus the lost of jobs can't u see voting for mccain is the same thing asbush plan nothing is going to change but hey if u like making life decision at the gas pump then go ahead and vote for him
I find it scary that some peoples reason not to elect obama is sometimes he stubles on his words in a townhall - thats a great reason. You say he hasnt got enough experience - do you know what his experience is? Or did you hear that on TV aswell? Make your own decision based on that facts. There has never been a more important time to pro-actively research each candidate YOURSELF! And stop repeating things you heard on TV.
Many of these comments "against" Barack are unbiased, these people that "thumb's down" are biased Obama supporters.
I agree that Obama is right for President, because he wants to further our knowledge technological thought. He's planning ahead, and for now. This republican "McCain" has his support from biased 'Christian' folks who want a christian president, that will fight against IRAQ!!! Which Obama states was a distraction! We should be fighting the main threat.
Tiger, these soldiers are young and their lives MEANS something. They aren't pawns in some chess game! Yes, they signed up. Thank God for them, their bravery and sacrifice. But we shouldn't take them for granted either. They went over to Iraq for NO REASON at all! The reason given was based on a lie! Our soldiers in Iraq is keeping us safe from what? WE went over THERE! THERE, being the wrong place anyway! People died for no reason!
The man has been on the go for what? going on two years now with no REAL rest?! I don't expect EVERY speech Obama gives to be mind blowing either. Give him a break. It's just nice to hear what's on his brilliant mind and where he's coming from.
People who vote for mccain are seriously just voting for 4 more years of Bush. The world hates the US because of Bush, and some people are dumb enough to continue to vote for the decline of the US power. NEWS FLASH: it isn't the cold war anymore and obama is a new kind of president who can take us out of the old mentality of containment toward engagement.
the most impressive facet of this delivery to me was the focus on the global perspective. now, more than ever, is the time to come together as a planet.
I am so glad that Americans had the good judgement to elect a democratic candidate such as OBAMA. We have finally become colorblind and are about to choose someone who will change the course of our nations perilous path ..
"Iraq has WMD". "It's better to fight them over there than over here"." No timeline for withdrawl", ect! Do you conservatives feel like suckers yet? Does repeating the same bullsh*t make it true? Bush seems to have all the "experience" you people think is needed to be president and he lied to all of you to get into Iraq. But I guess you're OK with the 4,100+ American deaths In Iraq and about 400,000+ Iraqi civilian deaths. Please use the brain god gave you. No more Klingons in the White House.
obama doesnt need more than a term in the senate to kick ass. Talented man. Bush/McCain not so much, both failures...well McCain is ok...just not Presidential material.
Even with the polls being rigged Obama is up 8% in the CNN polling but when Independent cable show did there on polling Obama was up by more than 70% only 30% of people voted for Mccain so where are all these votes coming from even Fox News Polls don't add up 83% of Americans said George Bush was the worst president in History and 78% of American thought Mccain was the same as bush 60% of the Americans Thought Mccain was a flip flopper Where are his votes coming from
Mccain only cares for his friends that the oil companies and others that could only profit from war.....we know that war is not the way to bring our economy back to what it was during Clinton, we know that Obama is the one that can bring us back..............Go Obama......
It's funny those of you constantly harping on lack of experience fail to see that McCain has no presidential experience either. You speak as if MacCain has served time in the oval office before. If you're equating this to number of years in office(senate) then I'll take my chances with Obama. At least he hasnt been in Washington long enough to be corrupted
Finally, someone who treats the American public as adults. He doesn't talk down with soundbites, but faces the threat of nuclear weapons head on.
Already, Bush and Company are taking his advice to go harder at Afghanistan, and draw down in Iraq, and not be afraid to talk to Iran. (Bush just declared a "time horizon" for withdrawal in Iraq.) It's like Obama is in charge already!
The world will remember his upcoming foreign trip for many many years to come as one of history's finest hour.
i strongly belive what Mr. Obama is getting at i just do not think he has enough military expirience for the position of president who would control our nations military
The undying comedy that is speaking about who has enough experience to be president. Being a career politician, military officer or peanut farmer has no real bearing on ones ability to make the right decisions as President of the US or of your HOA. If you think otherwise, frankly, you're brainwashed and don't know your own country's history. It's hardly surprising as ~70% of this great nation is politically ignorant until an election year and then follow hearsay and rhetoric.
You can support the troops and what they stand for, but not the purpose for which they are fighting. This war is wrong, and everyone who has a lick of common sense knows it.
I´m worried about the fact,if US(Bush adminiration) makes missile bases in Poland and Chech Republic. What is Russias policy? They(Russia)have already said that they will target missiles against "western Europe" This is a difficult question, which I hope Obama has answers.
what exprience do u mean??exprience of ruining our economy or going to blind wars? This is the man willing to move america in a new direction a bright future for us and the future generation. He should be given a chance and so will he be!
I do not think he, or John McCain are right to be honest, and I think people do not realize he shouts of change will not change anything, because Congress passes the laws. Notice, the economy just went sour and it is a Democratic Senate. The President signs and enforces laws, he does absolutely nothing to right them. For his policies and everything, they would only mattered if Congress could unite to actually bring him a Bill. It's sad, Americans have forgotten goverment and emotions rule.
If you listen clearly and closely, you can hear that Barack Obama is highly intelligent.
He even stands on shared ideas by many people of experienced standing in war and foreign policy.
The best thing about Barck Obama is that he gives you a clear idea of what he thinks, in detail. So no matter if you vote for him or note. You will find out quickly how you wasted your option to vote if you don't vote for him!
the anti- obama comments here show a dangerous ignorance about the war- namely on the score that it was a good idea in the first place, and that bush's execution of it wasn't horribly flawed for a good 3- 4 years. what's more knowing anything at all about iraq's past would seem to indicate that no matter how and when saddam/the baathists left power, the country was going to fracture. in sum, we're still plugged in to george bush's horrible idea no matter who wins in november.
Great speach. How cand people could balk at a man with so much core intelligence, charisma and common sense. His ideas for governance are refreshing. The Commander in Chief post now is taken up by a man with less than steller credentials in business and in college. I look forward to Sen. Obama debating with Sen. McCain. He will face a challenge in performance as well as in demonstration of intelligence, wit, and formation of a plan.
First of all tigera123 mentioned that we need the military in Iraq to keep us safe... my only thought would be is that if your family lived on a prarie and your dad went 9 thousand miles away with the family shotgun...how in the hell is going to keep you safe...that is crazy to think having our army in the middle east is keeping us safe... and the comment about being as careful leaving..etc.etc even if that was the weakest part of the speech...in all my friend this speech is monumental
If you get a chance to hear Barack Obama speak in person, do it. It'll give you the opportunity to comment honestly on how you feel about him as a future leader of our country. He totally rocks on many levels. Seeing is believing...or not, you decide.
I agree tiger. It's very scary to think of this guy becoming president He speaks well. That's is sole qualification. He's a good speaker! THAT'S IT! What else has he accomplished?
He's off the deep in when he says what we're doing in Iraq isn't making the world a safer place. No attacks on US soil since 9/11 and he says what Bush is doing isn't keeping us safe. Very scary if he becomes president. And even scarier that so many Americans think he's so wonderful.
Yes, we all agree that Obama is a great speaker. You fail to realize that his words are a reflection of his thoughts. His thoughts properly applied can create the proper action. I think my country NEEDS to give him a chance. The only other choice is an 80 year old with alligator arms, that can't even read a telepromptor.
i dont think hes right for president. hes way to in over his head, not enough expereince. i think he is wrong about the military to. we need them there and they are keeping us safe! when they sign up they know what they're signing up for they go by will we dont force ppl to join the military. i think its scary that someone like him may become president.
No disrespect to you tiger, but I wonder if your judgment of wether he's wrong for the job of president are the expressions/opinions of your parents. At the risk of sounding condescending, I think someone of your age, (if you are 16?) making a comment like:
'hes way to in over his head, not enough expereince.'
comes across as... a little bit.. ermmm.. inexperienced?
I disagree, it was a mistake to enter. Iraq posed no threat to US interests in any way... We do not have the money to keep funding this war... but we also shouldn't have socialized medicine, the patriot act or any policy which would create a larger government... I think Bob Barr would be good..
Of course their forced. There's other ways to force someone to join the military besides draft. Now their methods are more subtle. ex: take a poor average dude who isn't too bright and doesn't have a great future up ahead. All of a sudden he sees the light at the end of the tunnel! The MILITARY! an OPPORTUNITY to SERVE YOUR COUNTRY and RISE IN RANK, live a MANLY LIFE, get PAID well, and earn RESPECT and HONOR. appealing isn't it? --So they ensure that people remain poor, (capitalism) thats it.
Well, after just how much in over his had the last guy was (and still is), and considering how well the Democrats handled peacekeeping missions in the Nineties, I would say I trust their judgment more to pick the right guy than I trust the Republicans.
At any rate, an America whose economy is going down the drain is a loose cannon, no matter how competent their head of state supposedly is in matters of blowing up the right things...
tiger: The war in Iraq is an illegal war, plain and simple. They were no threat to us, they had no WMD's. As a result of this, 4,000+ US soldiers have died AND more importantly over 100,000 INNOCENT Iraqi's have died. Our soldiers have murdered and beaten innocent civilians in Iraq (ie: Haditha), as well as raped Iraqi women on numerous occasions. This is NOT how you spread democracy.
It offends me that you say "it's scary for him to become president.. And I think you're wrong about the war. You've been feeded with too many republican talk points memos about the war.
i respect you opinion but our current president supposedly had "experience". I believe some put too much value on "experience" and not enough on "judgment" (which Obama talks about in this video)
You gotta stop watching Faux "News," man. George W. Bush had even LESS experience than Obama does, and it was not an issue.
Some of the greatest presidents we've ever had had "no experience" either. Some of the worst presidents we've had had lots of experience (look at Nixon).
JFK didn't have much experience either. Every new politician needs a shot. This is really not so much about EXPERIENCE but rather about NEW IDEAS and what can be accomplished. Obama asks questions, wonders if we can live in a peaceful world. Unlike Bush who pushed our allies aside, and attacked a country just because he didn't like it. Bush and Cheney BROKE THE LAW under the UN Charter. Vote McCain and you get another GWB. No doubt.
when men and women sign up for the american military they make a promise to protect america ans our ideals. but, we also make a promise to them; that promise is that we won't send them in to fight fruitlessly and without cause. when we invaded iraq, we broke that promise to them and their families and loved ones.
our military deserves better than to die for no reason. and we must now do what can best be done to curb the harm we have done to our bravest citizens.
The true freedom of this country is no more evident than our right to disagree, however I would point out that Obama has always been against the Iraq war and for ending it and bringing our troops home within a projected 16 month 'timetable'.
Saturday, July 19: Washington Post/U.S., Iraq Agree To 'Time Horizon'
Bush and Maliki Discuss Troop Pullout.
I don't think I have to point out the obvious thing here.
I respect your opinion; it does not offend me. I do however disagree. Listen to what he is saying at around 5min. For 5 years the US has been fighting a war that has cost the nation nearly a trillion dollars. This war has nothing to do with terrorism. They are not keeping you safe by staying there. The war has instead caused other countries in the world to doubt USA's intentions and goodwill while also claiming many lives. I hope Obama is elected.
so i take it u voted 4 the great president we have now who has are economy the best it has ever been..i suppose u want another george bush in office (mccain)..its time 4 a change free ur mind and think outside of ur small box.would u b sayin that if he was white?
Tiger123890: Bin Laden the man responsible for Sept 11th is in Afganistan NOT Iraq. Iraq did not attack the USA but Bin Laden who is in Afganistan did. HE is planning more attacks on the USA and is trying to get his hands on a nuclear weapon. McCain wants to stay in Iraq and fight innocent Iraqi's while Obama wants to leave Iraq with the permission of the Iraqi government and fight Bin Laden in Afganistan. Now either you are really STUPID OR A FOOL! McCain has it all wrong as usual! OBAMA 08
It was scary that someone like Bush became Prsident, are Military should be concentrated on Afghanistan looking for Osama, not in Iraq. Being in Iraq is not keeping us safe, catching the master mind of the attacks of 9/11, thats whats going to keep us safe. We've done enough in Iraq time for them to stand on their own to feet.
We were so careless going in to this war, we invaded the wrong place at the wrong time...in fact going in at all was probably wrong....so in order to evacuate correctly, we must be VERY carefull backing out, hes saying we have to be more carefull pulling out than as careless as we were going in...lol I dont know how to explain it any other way.
As a European, it's a thrill to see an Obama mention one of the greatest American contributions to international peace, order, freedom and rule of law. The Marshall Plan.
The Europeans who fought against Communism and Fascism, all shared a common idea of an open society, holding the "American Dream" as a practical example.
In that dream there was no Gitmo, torture and disregard for international law. Obama is the best choice America can make at this point in history. Bring back the dream Obama.
Obama! New leader in world affairs, his policies, views and agendas will unite the world in viable solutions to rectify present and potential problems. VOTE OBAMA!!!
And you have to remember that Bush and McCain don't want to find Bin Laden because then they won't have an excuse to wage war on the world and pump up their favorite industries: Big Oil, and the Military.
Obama can get it done. If you want a bright future and not more of the same until our economy totally collapses, vote for Obama! McCain is so out of touch! He thinks he is still in a Vietnamese prison. He doesn't understand the problems of today. Doesn't even know who the fighters are in the Middle East unless he has advisors whispering in his ear.
In these times of the failing dollar, obscenely wasteful government spending, military exhaustion, and dependence on oil--Obama does inspire a sense of hope. On that note, one can only hope that he can facilitate at least some success on his many promises...
Eight years ago the dollar was worth 1.5 times the Canadian dollar. Today the dollar is .94 against the Canadian. Similar story against the Euro. Bush has silently, single handedly transferred more American wealth than any other President. Want more of this?
-nods- i worry that, in his mind, he's still fighting vietnam, and still has a hard on for a kind of interventionism that we're not capable of in our current state.
do any of you realize that obama is a 1 term senator that is in WAAAAY over his head? granted, he is obviously very intelligent and is an eloquent speaker...but does he, or his supporters, realize that to be president it takes MUCH MORE than the ability to be a good extemporaneous speaker? he is not ready for the big time and, quite frankly, he scares me.
Barack Obama seems to be the messaiah American had be been waiting for to save the country from coutinuous threat,he remained committed and we believed he will do it,so let give him a try for the first four years..
the iraqi govt wants us out the shiite and sunni iraqis want us out. only pres. schrub, sen. McGeezer, the g.o.p. and the neo-cons want us to remain there indefinately. part of it is oil. the other part is they want"a u.s.backed iraqi govt." to be the eyes and ears of current events in the middle east for the u.s. the saudi's can't or won't anymore.
Senator Obama thrives on hard work, so no worries about him not getting things done. He is a young 46 (compared to old man McSame who goes nighty-night by 9pm) who works late through the night and is an early riser. He is what we call a workaholic and he loves a challenge and he's passionate about getting this country back in order; to the #1 position where we belong.
wtv america is already fucked up enough we might as well take a chance wit obama cuz maybe he is speaking the truth and can do as he says. givee it a shot
man, who would have guessed we would have ended up with an Obama. I gotta say, we're the luckiest country in the world, I mean, we deserve to fall after the way we've been acting - macho sadistic war mongers - but then we get a real leader whose gonna - with our help - turn this thing around. If I believed in god, I'd have to say, god has blessed America. Instead I say, we're lucky!
I wish that he supported oil drilling offshore, in ANWAR, and in the central US. We're going to need both the oil and the money from that oil very badly. But even without that, Obama is still the best candidate.
Watch the whole video, folks. Not just the first ten minutes.
Ending the Iraq War is a priority for 2009. We need to end the Iraq War immediately. And if Obama doesn't do it (and he SHOULD end it, and most likely WILL end it), then nobody ever will, and we will still be fighting there a hundred years from now.
Have a question what will Obama do when he's in office, as I think nothing, and btw nothing comes to use easy guys and you fight so that you can get what you need in life, so don't blame it on the government. There are always a way to around things just do the math.
dude, can your thoughts really be as muddled in unintelligible as your posting? I swear they ought to make it a requirement that you watch the whole video and then take a standardized intelligence test before you are allowed to post.
OBxSMITHxOB, Sociology tells us that all social systems affect all other social systems as well as individuals within said systems; the decisions of a government affect the people of that nation and the people of other nations. I don't blame the American government for its mistakes, I ask my government to take responsibility for its mistakes and to constantly improve the status quo. There is always room for improvement. I've done the math and the result is Obama 08.
Dear Mr. Barack Obama: do you really think that you can argue the merits of Gen´l Marshall in the current discourse? Make no mistake - I support you 100%, but you are only repeating the same diarrhea that your opponents are advancing.
we COULD HAVE, but WE DID NOT.
The question remains: WHAT NOW? & what can the US do for ITSELF NOW?, now that IT IS TOO LATE 4 the US to LEAD??? The only way 4 the US the face the next challenges facing US is to DEFEAT CHINA. Peace out.
Stop right there. Look at his previous videos. He already addressed every issue I can think off, some with far too much details. A guy can give an inspirational speech without a lot of math in it once or twice.
Look up the definition of Tactics and Strategy. Military leaders know the definitions. The saying goes you can win the battle and lose the war. Obama is putting forth a strategy to win the wars on terror, economy, minds, etc for us as Americans. Military leaders also know a leader when they see one. It is said we get the leadership we deserve. Obama is a preminent leader and I hope the US deserves him.
I agree. All I see from McCain is some half assed tactical decisions. The surged worked really well in a tactical sense as did Pearl Harbor. However, just like Pearl Harbor came back and bit Imperial Japan in the ass, this "surge" will come back and bite us in the ass.
It seems my comments are being manipulated... some are posted, some are not. All I am trying to is to challenge my own candidate to actually CHANGE soemthing in this world. I guess I am too idealistic, eh?
Mr. Obama: Please do not get me wrong - I supported you to the tune of $100´s of $´s, and think you would make a better Pres than that which we now have (so could a squirrel). You can´t speak to Americans as thought they are adults, because they ARE NOT.
Instaed, I would like to see a REAL change: an alliance with South America, an END to Global Multinational conglomerate dominace of world markets, and a Foreign policy based on US & GLOBAL interests, not on profits for int´l companies. DO THAT.
If Senator Obama looses the GE it will be on the perception of reality not what is real. MSM will continue to mislead, misquote, and mischaracterize his position for rating and sensation sake. God help up we (America) should be tired of the same old games, this guy makes since and he is giving honest answers not pandering. Read his book he as been in the middle for the beginning.
Good speech, though I wish that he would have more explicitly acknowledged the needless deaths of many thousands of Iraqis and destruction of a nations infrastructure too. But that would probably not bee to advantageous a thing to say in an election.
As longs as he follows up one what he says he'll do, I'll be happy.
Mr. Obama:we rebuilt Eurpoe to maintain an economic market. There is no argument about that.
We contained the Soviets by forcing them to invest in military expenditures, while we invested in economic expansion.
Now, the Chinese are doing the EXACT same thing to US, so what the heck are you going to do about that? The ONLY thing that the USA exports are: weapons, contractorsand debt.
y´know, Mr. Obama, with all due respect, the ideas are great, but the implementation is messy: the support of a succesion of corrupt regimes in Nam, Iran, etc., wars involving Kuwait, S.A. and Israel, support of the Philipine dictatorship of the Marcos regime in the Philipines, etc.
You should keep your comments on the future, not the past. you´re merely restating the continuance of the Imperial wars since 1918/1919. Sad:you are using the same strategy of war in Afghani 2 achieve same result.
He is our new symbol of hope. No More G.O.P lies.

He refuses to sugar coat the truth, and for the first time in a very long time, the citizens of the world, especially Americans, are taking notice.

invading iraq was a good move
we're making progress
iraq has a stable government.
iraq might be safer, but the government WE put in is horrible. and how many more lives, and how much more money will you be willing to spend on this war?

There has never been a more important time to pro-actively research each candidate YOURSELF! And stop repeating things you heard on TV.

I agree that Obama is right for President, because he wants to further our knowledge technological thought. He's planning ahead, and for now.

So lets bring the reality you want!
xemola 3 years ago
the anti- obama comments here show a dangerous ignorance about the war- namely on the score that it was a good idea in the first place, and that bush's execution of it wasn't horribly flawed for a good 3- 4 years. what's more knowing anything at all about iraq's past would seem to indicate that no matter how and when saddam/the baathists left power, the country was going to fracture. in sum, we're still plugged in to george bush's horrible idea no matter who wins in november.

Great speach. How cand people could balk at a man with so much core intelligence, charisma and common sense. His ideas for governance are refreshing. The Commander in Chief post now is taken up by a man with less than steller credentials in business and in college. I look forward to Sen. Obama debating with Sen. McCain. He's off the deep in when he says what we're doing in Iraq isn't making the world a safer place. No attacks on US soil since 9/11 and he says what Bush is doing isn't keeping us safe. Very scary if he becomes president. And even scarier that so many Americans think he's so wonderful.

ZoninV 3 years ago
Of course their forced. There's other ways to force someone to join the military besides draft. Now their methods are more subtle. ex: take a poor average dude who isn't too bright and doesn't have a great future up ahead. All of a sudden he sees the light at the end of the tunnel! The MILITARY! an OPPORTUNITY to SERVE YOUR COUNTRY and RISE IN RANK, live a MANLY LIFE, get PAID well, and earn RESPECT and HONOR. appealing isn't it? --So they ensure that people remain poor, (capitalism) thats it.

Well, after just how much in over his had the last guy was (and still is), and considering how well the Democrats handled peacekeeping missions in the Nineties, I would say I trust their judgment more to pick the right guy than I trust the Republicans.

tiger: The war in Iraq is an illegal war, plain and simple.

You gotta stop watching Faux "News," man. George W. Bush had even LESS experience than Obama does, and it was not an issue.
Some of the greatest presidents we've ever had had "no experience" either. Some of the worst presidents we've had had lots of experience (look at Nixon).
Try another excuse.
PlusAbout2 3 years ago
JFK didn't have much experience either. Every new politician needs a shot. This is really not so much about EXPERIENCE but rather about NEW IDEAS and what can be accomplished. Obama asks questions, wonders if we can live in a peaceful world. Unlike Bush who pushed our allies aside, and attacked a country just because he didn't like it. Bush and Cheney BROKE THE LAW under the UN Charter. Vote McCain and you get another GWB. No doubt.
Jantv81 3 years ago
tiger123890,
when men and women sign up for the american military they make a promise to protect america ans our ideals. but, we also make a promise to them; that promise is that we won't send them in to fight fruitlessly and without cause. when we invaded iraq, we broke that promise to them and their families and loved ones.
our military deserves better than to die for no reason. and we must now do what can best be done to curb the harm we have done to our bravest citizens.

The true freedom of this country is no more evident than our right to disagree, however I would point out that Obama has always been against the Iraq war and for ending it and bringing our troops home within a projected 16 month 'timetable'.

FINALLY............... we have a candidate that will save us!! This man will truly go down in history!!! He WILL get the job done.
Madchopz004 3 years ago
Wow sounds like he has great plans for the future but I'm not too sure it will be able to do all that he claims he wants done.

Go Obama! We need a CHANGE!
Hardcore1298 3 years ago
man, who would have guessed we would have ended up with an Obama.

Vote Obama the world depends on it

I wish that he supported oil drilling offshore, in ANWAR, and in the central US. We're going to need both the oil and the money from that oil very badly. But even without that, Obama is still the best candidate.

Watch the whole video, folks. Not just the first ten minutes.
Ending the Iraq War is a priority for 2009. We need to end the Iraq War immediately. And if Obama doesn't do it (and he SHOULD end it, and most likely WILL end it), then nobody ever will, and we will still be fighting there a hundred years from now.
DerekTheComic 3 years ago 6
Have a question what will Obama do when he's in office, as I think nothing, and btw nothing comes to use easy guys and you fight so that you can get what you need in life, so don't blame it on the government. There are always a way to around things just do the math.
OBxSMITHxOB 3 years ago
dude, can your thoughts really be as muddled in unintelligible as your posting? I swear they ought to make it a requirement that you watch the whole video and then take a standardized intelligence test before you are allowed to post.
palaround 3 years ago

Peace out.
GlobalSufi 3 years ago
Stop right there. Look at his previous videos. He already addressed every issue I can think off, some with far too much details. A guy can give an inspirational speech without a lot of math in it once or twice.

ok, so I can´t spell too well online - I am using a Spanish keyboard. But the points are the same!

Obama is a preminent leader and I hope the US deserves him.
ronsimms65 3 years ago
I agree. All I see from McCain is some half assed tactical decisions. The surged worked really well in a tactical sense as did Pearl Harbor. However, just like Pearl Harbor came back and bit Imperial Japan in the ass, this "surge" will come back and bite us in the ass.
Himechansexytightass 3 years ago 5
Hmmm...
It seems my comments are being manipulated... some are posted, some are not. All I am trying to is to challenge my own candidate to actually CHANGE soemthing in this world. I guess I am too idealistic, eh?
GlobalSufi 3 years ago
I doubt it. Looks more like a backlog of comments to me.
Himechansexytightass 3 years ago

Read his book he as been in the middle for the beginning.
realityjunk101 3 years ago

Fix that, and you will have my vote.
GlobalSufi 3 years ago
