LOL!!! "WeRe Under attack by Imperial Star Destroyers! Begin evasive maneuvers!!! hahaha and theres a fucking capital ship blowing up behind him.. no shit admiral Akbar, once again you state the obvious :P
If you find the Collector's Series CD with X-Wing and Tie-Fighter that has a Win95 vs this DOS version that uses video hardware and has different much higher resolution graphics. I run it in XP with my AMD dual Core 2.8ghz and it plays fine!
This ran on a 486 PC with a original sound blaster 8 bit. Arguably my PC mouse now has more processing power. I wish they would remake X-wing and tiefighter for modern PC's.

and the windows version sucks
1. cant choose co-existing pilots
2. imuse removed
3. when playing tod missions the admiral looks like crap in the windows version
4. no music in intercourse.
5. tech room has models of ships instead of accurate diagnostics.
and so on...

I remember when I thought these were great graphics... was I ever that young?...oh... wait. That was 15 years ago. HA!
To think, now we have hand-held systems with abilities which don't even compare to this. What awaits us in the future? *Dr. Who theme plays*

I think that is all genuine sound effects, although it does sound kind of scratchy.

@Swizzley Doesn't sound scratchy at all! I think you mixing up the music with the effects!
