Hey Coley8396...of course he did, you tool. I mean, uhhhhhh...it was ONLY RECORDED 27 YEARS before this LIVE performance, in a controlled studio environment, with a bad-ass mic, when his range and delivery were likely at their peak! Whats' your point? Just saying...what??? Go back to your candy-ass vo-coder auto-tune crap. You are clueless!!!
The amazing Daryl is still doing wonderful things on his internet based show - Live from Daryl's House. If you don't already know it, give it a go - each month he does a show with guests.
For those of you who are real "Hall and Oates" fans, check out one of their first albums. It is called Abandoned Lunchenette. The voice clarity is so pure and soulful
I just LOVe, LOve, this song, from daryl and John, and my name isnt even Sara!! I just Love how Daryl sings this..Truth be told one of my favorite bands..................KIszesssssss to them....
Ahh Babe..Michell you were so beautiful and soo very pregnant when we went to this concert over a year ago, everyone gave us so much room to dance under the stars to this song, we were right up at the front of the stage, and we slow danced and held each other close, one of those magical nights we have shared Babe.I always said we were destined to be together, because you are my soul mate...love your Shrek
@tedmon11 the term wasn't invented for him, and to be in the league of other blue-eyed soul singers should make him proud. Yeah, soul originally referred to black singers, but, if ya got it, ya got it - no matter your color
I don't know what it is about this song, but it cuts me like a knife. It makes me tear-up every time. D. Hall sings with so much SOUL. I guess that's why they call it blue-eyed Soul. He still has that range after all this time. Great song.
I just ordered this DVD. I saw Hall and Oates live back in the day, twice, but I don't remember being in love with the music like I am now. Oh, the immaturities of youth. I could listen to them all day.......

I've seen these guys 7 or 8 times, and saw them for their 2003 tour at Celebrity Theatre Phoenix AZ. They have never failed to provide total entertainment. Even Daryl's last concert before Lyme disease took him out of the game for a while. He still put on one helluva show.
completely agrees with carollovekiwis he could sing anything and has by loyalty since 1973 good music transends generstions im now sharing them with my teenagers and to my surprize thyre arent rolling their eyes at my music tastes anymore will miracles never cease thanks boomer963z for doing the leg work uploading these .

The term " blue-eyed soul" was never liked by Daryl. It is rather racist.

Man! T-Bone just funk-a-fizes that bass, man. What a sad sad sad loss. Gone way too soon. Sorely missed. Especially by Daryl.RIP..xx
