Gotta admit Metallica's live guitar sound is weak nowadays! Metallica milton keynes bowl 1993 for example...james had a brutal guitar tone. especially on disposable heroes.

Love the crowd singing along with the slow, middle guitar part. That's always been one of my favorite parts of a Metallica song. It's hard to believe it's been 26 yrs since the Master of Puppets album came out. I've only seen them once. It was on the And Justice For All tour in Huntsville, AL way back in 1988.
