  • sounds like Ragamuffin by Michael hedges =)

  • dude, thats a nice guitar. . .

  • dude, the frets on it are wierd though!

  • It's called fanned frets, just in case you'd like to know.

  • he's really good, but I cannot hear playing like this without thinking PRESTON REED. But then, Mozart and Haydn also composed in a similar style..

Awesome sound, though (better than Preston?), I'm sure the fanfretting contributes to this.

  • bettere ? could be

every new generation takes from the older generations , and builds on it

    thats why its better

he didnt wake-up from his bed and said :

  • If someone wants to loan me 13 grand for one of those I promise to put up a video of myself playing that song. Any takers?

  • Sure, I just need to have your car and wife/girlfriend/daughter as insurance

  • Awesome, awesome! Don Alder +The Don Alder Model G4 = epic win!!

  • OOOOhhhh! A Greenfield fanned-fret! Nice, Don!

  • Looks like Dons prefer fast fingerpicking:D

  • DADGAD

  • Interesting flat-top you got there, man. Never seen one quite like it. Impressive skills, too. Good job.

  • It's a fanned fret guitar. You tune it the same as any other guitar. The longer scale on the bass side allows for beautiful piano-like bass and the adjusted scale for each string allows for better intonation throughout. Mike Greenfield makes the best guitars and Don Alder is freakin amazing indeed. Lovely to hear/see this song.

  • It looks like the frets are at diffrent angles, how the heck do you tune that guitar?

  • It's a fanned-fret guitar.

  • holy crap......

  • huh,.. it's a amazing!!
