@Transam4000 Right after Ernest passed out after being blown up, there was another scene on the movie (it's a deleted scene) showing Ernest working as a bank clerk sitting at a desk and working where at the same time, he got electrocuted and after getting electrocuted, he touched metal onto his face to make sure he didn't become magnetic and at first, the metal didn't stick on. Then a metal file cabinet moved out of it's spot and chased Ernest as Ernest ran away and the movie ended there.
As soon as Chief Warden and the other police officers came to the bank, did they know at that time that Ernest wasn't Nash, or did they know that the real Nash was in the bank which is why they were there? (If they found out that the real Nash was at the bank, I wonder maybe if Lyle told them that Ernest wasn't Nash and where to find the real Nash where Lyle told them after Ernest escaped since the other cops grabbed Lyle to put him back in jail).
@strongstartownipan I guess Ernest must have a stronger body than explosions and being electrocuted since the first two times he got electrocuted, he became magnetic, the third time he got electric powers being able to shoot electricity, and the fourth time he got polarized from getting electrocuted. So he either has a very strong body or, the explosion and/or the electricity is not powerful enough to kill him or maybe explosions and electricity must like him and not want to kill him.
i love this movies old feel to it but its subtle. you dont pay attention until after youve seen it a few times..that they avoid having ernest in the same shot like we can do today, they avoid face shots n stuff while they're together :P hooray for doubles
@thedisneyfreak100 Either that or, maybe Nash is not really punching where as he is bringing his fist towards Ernest's face, someone is making the sound in the background looking like Nash is really punching Ernest in the face.
2:08 "Freeze Punk make your play"........ALRIGHT Bobby BURN'EM!!! ROFL!!!!Funniest line in the whole movie!! Whatcha waitin for BURN EM!! So Classic RIP JIM VARNEY
I feel the same way since the way Ernest fainted where it looked like he died and the movie ended. It was sad that he was looking and sounding more serious saying "I came, I saw, I got blowed up" instead of making a funny and silly face with his eyebrows going up and down saying something like "oh yes, after all I am Ernest P. Worrell, the kind of guy whose life was saved by God, know what I mean." (Ernest must be stronger than electricity and explosions which is why he doesn't die easily).
That would be great. Maybe if they made another Ernest movie, they could show scenes of Jim Varney from past Ernest movies since Jim Varney died in real life. Or, if they were going to make another Ernest movie, I guess they would have to use a different actor to play as Ernest.
@afriendofbean No , id say get a new actor , go back to the beginning where Ernest started to start off fresh so the story would have to take place back in the early mid 80s and The Ernest can be potrayed by Johny Knoxville .
Maybe the story can be based on re-imagining Ernest goes to camp or the plot can be something that never been done before .
I think Chevy Chase would do well playing as chuck ,
Christopher Loyd can play as Bobby and Amy Adams as Charlotte Sparrow .
Yes, Johnny Knoxville, Chevy Chase, Christopher Lloyd, and Amy Adams would be great for the movie. Also, maybe Mike Tyson (I know he's been on some movies) would be great to play as Reuben Bartlett (the guy who played as Reuben Bartlett played by Barry Scott looked tough and I think Mike Tyson looks tough too) and Hulk Hogan would be great to play as Lyle.

From 8:48-9:06, I thought it would have been nice if the cops including the Chief Warden apologized to Ernest for the misunderstanding and for not believing him when he said he's Ernest and not Nash. (Unless maybe they were going to say it but, Ernest passed out or died before they could say it). Mostly, the cops and the Chief Warden should have believed him since Ernest and Nash have two different voices and Ernest usually wears a hat but, Nash doesn't while in jail.
It's amazing how Ernest can get electrocuted and be caught in bomb explosions without dying where he is either stronger than weapons and dangerous stuff or, weapons and dangerous things probably like him a lot. Or, maybe they're all just rewards from God when he got electric powers from getting electrocuted so he can escape and teach the cops a lesson that he's not Nash, and when he got polarized from electrocution that was a reward from God to battle Nash.
8:55 farewell chuck you will be missed in the upcoming ernest sequels where i was disappointed that the brothers chuck & Bobby couldnt be a brother team to help ernest against trantor the troll with real comedy humor not that tom tulip for chuck's replacement no humor at all & sadly his last lines were my buddy's gone instead of having a relief happy ending quote which appears in the tv version alternate ending where ernest is finally a bank clerk
Rest in Peace Jim Varney. You made me laugh over and over in my childhood and even now as an adult. You were a wonderful entertainer. It was very haunting to hear that line when Ernest was about to be electrocuted and he said, "cigarettes will kill ya!". Unfortunately they did in real life. Jim, you are severely missed.
I would have loved to see Jim Varney play more villlians. He showed a great versitility in playing characters. Only Jim Varney can be a goof ball and a villian in the same scene. He was the best and even though he's gone, he will always be the best.
i been watching this from 6 years i 16 now i just noice how did evil one know it was lectet cage thing he says toast time they dont show evil one cage but still good movie

Okay, you didn't need to say that three times. Also, I wasn't talking to you about the Ernest movies and about Bobby talking on the other Ernest movies, so I'm not sure why you said three times "I know that" when I never said anything to you. Is your response to this message "I know that" meaning you know that I wasn't talking to you about anything?
@terminat1 no, in the one movie I know he was portrayed with an indestructible skull, and in more than one movie he was bent into impossible shapes and always came out...
@terminat1 He was like Ernest with a heart of gold, though he was more organized like Nash. Jim had a very high IQ. He could remember his lines instantly. Smart, handsome and funny. Where can I find a man like Varney?
I just thought of something... where the heck did bobby run off to when nash bonked chuck on the head? Did he just disappear behind the hat-rack again?
He also did talk in two other Ernest movies. They were "Ernest Saves Christmas" and "Ernest Scared Stupid." (When I first saw this movie, I thought he was deaf which is why he wasn't talking, and which is why Chuck a lot of times does sign language to him but I guess he just isn't too much of a talker which is why he hardly talked. Also, I know he probably had two lines on "Ernest Saves Christmas" and one line on "Ernest Scared Stupid.")
That's also great that he was on those movies and talked there too. (I guess he either isn't too much of a talker or, he doesn't like people hearing his voice so he probably only talks if he needs too or if there's an emergency, just like here when he saved Ernest from Nash). I also haven't seen "Ernest Goes To School" and "Dr. Otto and the Riddle of the Gloombeam" since a lot of the Ernest movies are not being sold anywhere, not even used movies.
That's also good and I would love to see them on YouTube. I know the only Ernest movies that are being sold in stores and online are "Ernest Goes To Camp", "Ernest Saves Christmas", "Ernest Goes To Jail", "Ernest Scared Stupid", "Ernest Goes To Africa", "Ernest In The Army", and "Slam Dunk Ernest."
@dmi3011 He made it. I look forward to meeting him in heaven. He was a christian when he was a teenager but slipped up a little in the fast lane of show business but he eventually found his way back. I miss him but I don't want him to come back. Who would want to come back here on earth when they're in heaven? Not me.
@lookitsmyvideo Why would talking about heaven be weird? What I said about him being a Christian as a teenager was true. It's in his bio. Unlike some, I consider being weird a compliment. I've been 'weird' all my life. Why change? If weird is who I am, then I am, and proud of it. I don't care what any one thinks of me. But, thanks for the compliment.
@InDeAskY1 Also, I'm not making fun of you for wanting to go to heaven, you believe in that stuff, go ahead, im not going to stop you. The fact you seem ridiculously obsessed with this man is disturbing. You probably never met him when he was alive (RIP), so you're opinions on him are based within his television and movie appearances. He could be a completely different person off-set, i hope you know that.
@lookitsmyvideo That's fine. It's not obsession to admire the guy. I've neer been obsessed with any celebrity. Ever. They're just people. I'm also basing the fact that I look up to him because of his willingness to always visit terminally ill children no matter how busy he was. And the fact that he was a genuinely nice guy and he always had a smile on his face. He didn't let the fact that he was a star go to his head like most celebs today.
Even so I know it was just part of the movie, I still don`t get why they used dogs in this scene as everybody knows when a crime is in progress like right here, they`re wouldn`t be any dogs around. Had it happened like this for real there would have been a lot of dead dogs there after.
This is probably my favorite Ernest movie, tied with Ernest Goes to Camp: just for the fact he's the villain as well as the hero in this movie. Jim Varney was just a funny guy. I miss seeing him in movies.
@BroyhillVideo thanks for your 2 cents, mr. pseudo-intellectual. Jim represents a time when not every comedy was soft porn. Learn your history and raspect JIM VARNEY!
@BroyhillVideo First of You need to respect Jim Varney, he is a comedy legend in my childhood eyes. And second, how can you try to disrespect somebody when you do not even know how to spell?
@thebadguyhall I was going to write a very long insulting comment to the fact that what you just said hilariously has nothing to do with my comment. But to keep this short, just re-read my comment and be sure to read every word. Note how the words, "I love this movie" and "childhood memories" form together to create positive emotion, maybe as if I actually like Jim Varney! But that would be crazy, because it would make you look like a total dumbass.
@thebadguyhall hahahah dude the reason I have 'raspect ' in quotations is because I was calling out the spelling in another comment just as you are with me. lol I think this is a misunderstanding. I am a big Jim fan.
@BroyhillVideo Then please except my apology. I am just a big Ernest P. Worrell (Jim Varney) fan and I do not like it when people disrespect him. Once again sorry for the misunderstanding.
I remember seeing that when this movie came on television. Plus as Ernest was shown being a bank clerk, it also showed him getting electrocuted, and after he got electrocuted, he quickly put metal paperclips and other metal stuff on his face just to make sure that the electrocution didn't make him magnetic to make metal stick to him. Once he found it wasn't sticking to him for a second, all of a sudden, metal file cabinets were coming close to him where Ernest ran away and the movie ended.
I know this is a strange question for me to say but, from 3:21-3:30 and from 3:42-3:54, when Ernest was getting electrocuted, I know people in real life shake like that but, do people in real life make that same sound Ernest was making whenever electricity is jolting through their body?
After Ernest said "I came, I saw, I got blowed up", did he get killed or did he just pass out from getting blown up? (I know that if he died that there wouldn't of been any other Ernest movies after this one but, since these Ernest movies aren't sequels and they're all different stories, I wasn't sure if Ernest died or passed out at the end).
I love how the chief's sole reaction to Ernest flying off like Peter Pan is just 'he's getting away'. How familiar does he have to be with flying guys to make a statement like that!?
I love it too at 7:34. At that point where Ernest was flying up in the sky, I wonder if the chief found out that Ernest wasn't Nash since at 8:36, he probably found out that Ernest was telling the truth that he was Ernest and not Nash. (Also, as Ernest was flying up in the sky, I wonder where Ernest was trying to fly too while carrying the bomb. Maybe he was either trying to carry the bomb away in outer space or, he was just trying to fly and keep it out of the way from all the people).
It's amazing how he can get electrocuted and blown up without dying. (He must be stronger than getting electrocuted and getting caught in explosions).
if mr nash & Trantor the troll or even the foreman from ernest goes to camp ever teamed up against ernest 3 on 1 handicap style ernest would be doomed big time
Yes, the guy from "Ernest Goes To Camp" is named Sherman Krader. Also, if Prince Kazim, Mr. Abaz, and the two thugs (their names were Thug #1 and Thug #2) from "Ernest Goes To Africa" joined Mr. Nash, Sherman Krader, and Trantor, Ernest would be in even more danger. (I wonder if Trantor would agree to team up with them since he is a troll and he doesn't like humans, especially kids. If he did agree to team up with them, he would be the leader and the rest of them would be his henchman).
Yes, Chuck has a funny scream. (He even screamed like that on the movie "Ernest Goes To Camp" and I think he also screamed like that on the last scene of the movie "Ernest Saves Christmas.")
Huh? He didnt get laid?

Also, I know he probably had two lines on "Ernest Saves Christmas" and one line on "Ernest Scared Stupid.")
afriendofbean 1 year ago
@afriendofbean And He only had one line in Ernest goes to School, but had two in Dr. Otto and the Riddle of the Gloombeam.
Sibster45678 1 year ago
That's also great that he was on those movies and talked there too. (I guess he either isn't too much of a talker or, he doesn't like people hearing his voice so he probably only talks if he needs too or if there's an emergency, just like here when he saved Ernest from Nash). I also haven't seen "Ernest Goes To School" and "Dr. Otto and the Riddle of the Gloombeam" since a lot of the Ernest movies are not being sold anywhere, not even used movies.
afriendofbean 1 year ago
@afriendofbean you can find them both on Youtube Thankfully!
Sibster45678 1 year ago
That's also good and I would love to see them on YouTube. I know the only Ernest movies that are being sold in stores and online are "Ernest Goes To Camp", "Ernest Saves Christmas", "Ernest Goes To Jail", "Ernest Scared Stupid", "Ernest Goes To Africa", "Ernest In The Army", and "Slam Dunk Ernest."

yet another person i'm looking forward to meeting in heaven...if he made it, i hope and pray he did. R.I.P. Jim!
dmi3011 1 year ago
@dmi3011 He made it. I look forward to meeting him in heaven. He was a christian when he was a teenager but slipped up a little in the fast lane of show business but he eventually found his way back. I miss him but I don't want him to come back. Who would want to come back here on earth when they're in heaven? Not me.
InDeAskY1 1 year ago 2
@InDeAskY1 You're weird.
lookitsmyvideo 1 year ago
@lookitsmyvideo Why would talking about heaven be weird? What I said about him being a Christian as a teenager was true. It's in his bio. Unlike some, I consider being weird a compliment. I've been 'weird' all my life. Why change? If weird is who I am, then I am, and proud of it. I don't care what any one thinks of me. But, thanks for the compliment.
InDeAskY1 1 year ago 2
@InDeAskY1 Also, I'm not making fun of you for wanting to go to heaven, you believe in that stuff, go ahead, im not going to stop you. The fact you seem ridiculously obsessed with this man is disturbing. You probably never met him when he was alive (RIP), so you're opinions on him are based within his television and movie appearances. He could be a completely different person off-set, i hope you know that.
lookitsmyvideo 1 year ago

Had it happened like this for real there would have been a lot of dead dogs there after.

it's funny how Jim Varney played both Nash AND Ernest! lol
OsamaBinLooney 1 year ago
This is probably my favorite Ernest movie, tied with Ernest Goes to Camp: just for the fact he's the villain as well as the hero in this movie. Jim Varney was just a funny guy. I miss seeing him in movies.

Man I love this movie. CHILD HOOD MEMORY'S MUCH!
BroyhillVideo 1 year ago
@BroyhillVideo thanks for your 2 cents, mr. pseudo-intellectual. Jim represents a time when not every comedy was soft porn. Learn your history and raspect JIM VARNEY!
LGofRPM 1 year ago 9
@LGofRPM because when I say, I quote " I love this movie. Childhood memories" I clearly dont "raspect" him...
BroyhillVideo 1 year ago
@BroyhillVideo First of You need to respect Jim Varney, he is a comedy legend in my childhood eyes. And second, how can you try to disrespect somebody when you do not even know how to spell?
thebadguyhall 1 year ago
@thebadguyhall I was going to write a very long insulting comment to the fact that what you just said hilariously has nothing to do with my comment. But to keep this short, just re-read my comment and be sure to read every word. Note how the words, "I love this movie" and "childhood memories" form together to create positive emotion, maybe as if I actually like Jim Varney! But that would be crazy, because it would make you look like a total dumbass.
BroyhillVideo 1 year ago
@BroyhillVideo You also said "I clearly don't "raspect" him." so maybe yo should reread your own comments dude.
thebadguyhall 1 year ago
@thebadguyhall hahahah dude the reason I have 'raspect ' in quotations is because I was calling out the spelling in another comment just as you are with me. lol I think this is a misunderstanding. I am a big Jim fan.
BroyhillVideo 1 year ago
@BroyhillVideo Then please except my apology. I am just a big Ernest P. Worrell (Jim Varney) fan and I do not like it when people disrespect him. Once again sorry for the misunderstanding.
thebadguyhall 1 year ago
This movie began with a hillwilliam cleaning a room, and failing.
It ends with said hillwilliam flying around in the sky over said room with a bomb, only to get blown up and land on his own evil twin.
If that is not the epitome of character growth, I do not know what is.
AnomalyINC 1 year ago
Bobby is the second best character in this movie, with Ernest being the best.
CordyBear1 1 year ago
No Ernest did not die at the end because after that there was a deleated scene at the end where Mr.P lets him become a banker at the end.
kriegpowers2010 1 year ago
I remember seeing that when this movie came on television. Plus as Ernest was shown being a bank clerk, it also showed him getting electrocuted, and after he got electrocuted, he quickly put metal paperclips and other metal stuff on his face just to make sure that the electrocution didn't make him magnetic to make metal stick to him. Once he found it wasn't sticking to him for a second, all of a sudden, metal file cabinets were coming close to him where Ernest ran away and the movie ended.

This has been flagged as spam show
I know this is a strange question for me to say but, from 3:21-3:30 and from 3:42-3:54, when Ernest was getting electrocuted, I know people in real life shake like that but, do people in real life make that same sound Ernest was making whenever electricity is jolting through their body?
afriendofbean 1 year ago
After Ernest said "I came, I saw, I got blowed up", did he get killed or did he just pass out from getting blown up? (I know that if he died that there wouldn't of been any other Ernest movies after this one but, since these Ernest movies aren't sequels and they're all different stories, I wasn't sure if Ernest died or passed out at the end).
afriendofbean 1 year ago
I love how the chief's sole reaction to Ernest flying off like Peter Pan is just 'he's getting away'. How familiar does he have to be with flying guys to make a statement like that!?
Hotshotter3000 1 year ago
I love it too at 7:34. At that point where Ernest was flying up in the sky, I wonder if the chief found out that Ernest wasn't Nash since at 8:36, he probably found out that Ernest was telling the truth that he was Ernest and not Nash. (Also, as Ernest was flying up in the sky, I wonder where Ernest was trying to fly too while carrying the bomb. Maybe he was either trying to carry the bomb away in outer space or, he was just trying to fly and keep it out of the way from all the people).

I came, I saw, I got blowed up.

It's amazing how he can get electrocuted and blown up without dying. (He must be stronger than getting electrocuted and getting caught in explosions).

if mr nash & Trantor the troll or even the foreman from ernest goes to camp ever teamed up against ernest 3 on 1 handicap style ernest would be doomed big time
stone85 2 years ago
Yes, the guy from "Ernest Goes To Camp" is named Sherman Krader. Also, if Prince Kazim, Mr. Abaz, and the two thugs (their names were Thug #1 and Thug #2) from "Ernest Goes To Africa" joined Mr. Nash, Sherman Krader, and Trantor, Ernest would be in even more danger. (I wonder if Trantor would agree to team up with them since he is a troll and he doesn't like humans, especially kids. If he did agree to team up with them, he would be the leader and the rest of them would be his henchman).
