Everyone's complaining about the crowd, but its a Pitchfork crowd. You're not allowed to show that you're having fun or enjoying something in that community. Cuz then you be a LOSER.. And pf no likey loser!
WTF are these trendoids doing? Real roots music came from working class and poor, the blues ,country, blue grass ,hip-hop,ganster rap, from Nashville, Jamaica, the appalachians,South Bronx,Compton, ect. Now these souless dipshit trustfund tards wanna do their own suburban sound.Theres a reason their on Indy labels, no one want to hear their snotty shit except other dipshits.
It's pretty funny that the bands that are often labeled hipster are usually the ones that are making great music these days. Nothing hipster about liking great music, people that always say something is "hipster" are the real hipsters.

Hipster music:Droll rich suburban white snobs doing their own exclusive droll rich suburban white snob version of rap, rock, reggae, house, etc.Gotta love it,never fails to crack me up.
@ndogg20 yup ...it definitely isn't your hall and oates or gloria estefan...you know the classics you mixed persian latinos like. you know your adult contemporary walmart sound you like to soak in your bubble bath whilst your boyfriend is rubbing epson salt on your bunyons with old school hip hop mash up of biz markie and shabba ranks to sooth your soul.
@ndogg20 I like how you didn't substantiate that at all, how is it derivative in anyway? Do you even have an argument or are you just some pathetic troll?
@explosivetoast Nah,its just a gut reaction after checkin out all the 'hip'bands. And heres a clue, never reply to anyone you might think is a troll, pathetic or not.
@ndogg20 'hip' bands do you have broad and subjective a term that is? If I'm not sure it's a troll I'm gonna respond, you just seem like a stupid person.
man this is muzik bliss in todays times all i wont to do is the same with my music alota work but so is fucking grunt WORK 9 to 5 or 4 to 12 sucks hard ill never stop trying though :)
Wow! I have Deerhunter albums but I've never seen or watched them live. I've been stuck on Animal Collective concerts for a while. But Animal Collective have lost their game or got too attached to electronics or something cuz Deerhunter blows them away! Deerhunter number 1 band for me now. No doubt. Good on record and great in concert. Even better live. That's rare. Can I have more?
AMAZING set. I was there and it was real hard to exert the energy I felt inside without passing out from heat exhaustion or claustrophobia. The heat was really horrible, but everyone walked away from that set with their mind's blown.
@JediEIi they should come here (im from GA too) since i know at least the lead singer is from athens. thats why atlas sound was at the animal collective show in alpharetta few weeks ago.
Last year just had more stuff I was looking forward to. Broken Social Scene, Free Energy, Titus Andronicus, Wolf Parade, LCD, Smith Westerns, Surfer Blood, Beach House, St. Vincent, Sleigh Bells (though their set sucked)... Saturday's lineup was kind of a let down this year for me. Pretty much Destroyer and that was it. Friday and Sunday were good though, and the final four acts of the Festival really redeemed the weekend.
The entire set is a rare example of a band in total control-of their sound, of the festival, of their time, and of their destiny. They have continually improved with each performance (correction to earlier post, have now been seeing them for 4 1/2 years) and they just. keep. getting. better. Scary to think what this show will be in a year, two years from now. Best.Band.In.The.World.
@ifilmbands As much as I wish it were true, I would have to disagree. Bradford for one is not in control of his destiny, we can only hope he's around long enough to fulfill his dream. But with the rest I completely agree.
@xjakemarinx Brad doesn't have Marfan's, Marfan's has Brad, my money is on Mr. Cox :) He JUST played an hour long set in long pants in 97 degree weather under lights in one of their best sets ever (see above). Any rumor that he is ill in any way is simply just that, rumor. He's just getting warmed up, thank you.
@ifilmbands You may romanticize a bit with the time and destiny thing, but I can't agree more that this performance sounds brilliant for a live act. They've made leaps in the department of translating their refined studio presence to the stage.
was there live, and goddamn did I love the nothing ever happened jam. was hard to hear exactly what was being played due to the distortion, but that made it better
Thank you. Thank you. NO, srsly, thank you for posting this. Been seeing these guys about 3 1/2 years and they just flat out KILLED this performance, one of their best sets...EVER
