Yeah science is totally kick ass. I pretty much like all of their music but as of late they definately went down the mainstream. When science came out it was like revolutionary i had never heard anything like that now i feel like they pretty much play it safe. In any case amazing band i saw them perform at lalapalooza that year with audioslave in ohio it was one of the best shows ever

Sorry, but this version isn't like what David Cook did on American Idol. Yep, they are both guys singing 'Hello' with an electric guitar. But the arrangement is different if you listen to both. I think Cook's version sounds and flows much better, but that is just my opinion.
David credited Doxology with that version, and all of the arrangements that he's used have been credited by him. This one clearly is not the same arrangement he did for "Hello."
you know what david cook may not have given credit to incusbus or doxology(whoever they are) but who cares its idol they dont have to really give credit except to the person(s) who orginally wrote the song
yeah, i have to agree here. cook's covers are similiar enough that i think he was inspired. the doxology version is almost exact (check out rickey . org) But the only one who really should get credit is the original artist. this is just a risk you take when you do a cover. For all we know, david wanted to credit dox. and AI wouldn't allow it. AI probably would have to give doxology money if they credited their version, and they probably aren't legally required to. it is a beatle's song!
DITTO! Beisdes, I listened to the doxology. Same arrangement but different style actually. So he really didn't come it. Also, David actually reworked it a bit in the pitchy parts and it sounded better than doxology.

He's good. Too bad David Cook on American Idol kind of took credit for this version in his last performance by not telling the judges it wasn't his... :/
they did the whole song on like HFS or something, who ever did a lot of thier acoustic stuff...look around u can find the whole song, they did this version in the middle of Pistola
Folks, people grow up and they move on to different things. This is a Lionel Richie cover, done with some humour. I think the new album will be awesome!
Hello!, is it me you’re looking for? Cause I wonder where you are,
And I wonder what you dooo, are you somewhere feeling lonely?
or is someone loving you?. Tell me how to win your heart!

I like how Cook basically sang this song and didn't give credit to the artist, HE DOES IT ALL THE TIME!
But he's "orginal" right, what's so orginal about covering a cover!!!

Re: David Cook. Oh c'mon, there is no similarity other than the melody which folks is Lionel Ritchie's!
He and Brooke are the 2 most talented without a doubt.
shalinmadan 3 years ago 5
David stole the doxlogy version of "Eleanor Rigby". But not this one. There is zero similaries except that they sang the same song.
Incubus is more faithful to the Lionel Richie's version. Cook really reworked his.

I definately think david cook got some inspiration from incubus' cover... considering that this was posted 2 years ago.

I seriously don't hear how this is the same as David Cook's. They're just covering the same song, but definitely not in the same way.
