I appreciate your attempt to show how one of these works. However, the camera jerks around a lot at the beginning and I can't always see what you are pressing - I have one of these but the manual isn't much help - I'm more of a hands on learner. Can no one just focus the camera on the unit and have things well lit so we can see WHAT you are doing?
you can save preset to a sequencer using preset 0.. when you press the store function on 0 it saves the settings as system exclusive over midi... should of got the one with the blue LEDS they look soooooo cool.
Hey, any of these people criticizing this video have never made a video. i found this video incredibly informative, well put together, and the guy was articulate and didn't waste any time with trivialities. right to the meat and potatoes. i don't see any trembling
Kevin, you're as good as it gets with this kind of analog sequencing. Love it, along with the beautiful, if antiquatedly sample-rated, demos on Doepfer's site.

I do love electronic music.
I do love Doepfer machines.
I do love the fact someone shares hers/his knowledge.
I would have loved this video if the guy decided to choose a melody line that does not damages brains like drill dirctly into the Zirbeldrüse.
Man, i had to stop the vid at 9:38 aprupty.
wasnt able to listen to that sound anymore.
Also it is 00::33 over here hight now and my gf sleeps already :)
As i said, i liked it but dislike the "melo".
Do it again, please
humanalive 2 years ago
Yes of course you can, but try altering individual notes in the sequence when it's playing back! That's where analogue sequencers score points.

can use a keyboard to make a sequence

The cameraman is trembling like he just jumped the fence on a metallica konsert. (I tried it last month and my video is crap!)

Very nice explanation, but very bad, nervously and too dark video recording. Next time use a tripod and extra light...
The soundrecording however is perfect.
