He sang this last night in Richmond, Virginia. I cried like a baby. I'm slowly losing my mom to Alzheimer's and I just broke down. This song is a treasure.
I first heard Arlo play this in Berkeley 3 weeks ago. It made me cry then and it makes me cry now. My mother, gone nearly 12 years now, sang lullibies to me. We'd also sit at the piano and sing hymns together. I miss her voice. Thank you so very much for posting this/

Do you have a vid of that song and if you could please refresh my memory of what album that was originally on and if it is still available. I have listened to at least one of Arlo's or Woody's songs every day since 1964, I'm his "biggest fan", next to you all.

I lost my mom going on 5 years ago. What a beautiful song!!! The inevitable tears, but so worth it. Thank you for a wonderful tribute.
