you cant stomp on the accelerator in conditions like that, youl just lose all your snow (which will aide in friction if its light enough) and expose the ice underneath. you have to feather it, I have my 98 Lincoln out still and with nearly bald tires on the back i can get thru just fine yet, and we have just as much snow as you do.

I do not understand why everyone says "get a beater," "get a truck,' or "get something AWD or 4x4." These are CARS people, and they make snow tires. Even a few all-season tires now have pretty good snow performance. Everyone is so babied by stupid ass FWD that no one actually knows how to DRIVE in anything other than dry roads anymore. Anything can be driven in snow as long as you know how to drive and have decent tires.  The only problem would be if the car is only 3-4" off the ground.

Have you noticed that you used to be able to see every part in the engine compartment, but now you see nothing? A long time ago you could easily replace distributors, fuel filters, radiators, etc. Now they require you to remove several other parts in order to remove the broken part.

The car I have right now is a 1994 Z28 Camaro, and it takes so much fucking effort to swap parts.

In order to change a distributor on that model, I have to take off the water pump, hoses connected to it, thermostat cover, cold air intake, sensors connected to it, sensors connect to other parts, etc.

With an older carburetor engine, the distributor is right on the side of the engine, in plain view and easily accessible.

@flamingburner Any car with rear wheel drive is not ment to be driven in snow.The problem is that pony cars are really light in the back and have alot of torque. This is why you don't see many driving in the winter where there is snow. If you put snow tires and some sand bags in the trunk you can drive around in light snow.
