This is going to sound strange, but I like to watch the first minute or so of this video about once a week. Seriously, go back and watch the first 15 seconds of this video. Can you imagine that on an ESPN telecast today? I miss all 4 of these guys -- Chris, Bo, Dick AND George Pappas. Excellent post!
Don't get me wrong. I have nothing but respect for Mr. Weber but, his non slide last step drives me crazy. He always look like he's sticking at the line.
wow george pappas is still good today i bowled him in a tournament called tough shots tour in the finals and he whooped me.. haha he's like 60 something!
These guys did not have to shout and make silly gestures to the crowd like they do now. Their bowling styles and professionalism did all the talking for them.

And he whips his arm out to the right....

@thiswilldoblue Hard to tug it left when you do that. Pete also has a "fearless follow through" to quote Bill Taylor. :)

I've noticed that as well. I think it got worse as his career went along. But, hey, he's the bowling legend and we're not, right :-)

@katanakeith You certainly can't argue with the results. He achieved icon status because it worked.
