  • Welley, you dont know about HH skills...he plays in his own league and that in gladiator boots...its more than amazing brother:-)

  • hannes grossman made HH looking for a beginner

  • Well, Frost is my favorite drummer of all time, but I've got to admit that that was too fucking awesome. Especially that part at 0:09 was damn awesome.

  • O_O Playing double bass with... NewRock shoes ?

  • hellhammer is so awesome...hes a freaking machine gun, no doubt

  • Imagine him and Inferno, of Behemoth, doing a duet.

  • i beg to differ..hellhammer is awesome,no doubt, but inferno of behemoth can trade bodyblows with any drummer in metal...PERIOD!!!

  • He's a really good drummer, but a fucking asshole.

  • @HereticsGen Actually quite the contrary, a really good guy but not so much of a drummer

  • @Thomasgipsy A really good guy isn't someone who's glad someone killed "a fucking faggot" in my book.

  • @Thomasgipsy You mean Hellhammer is not so great at drumming? Well, everybody has their own opinion, but i rate HH at the exclusive level of true gods like Virgil Donati, Vinnie Colaiuta, Dave Weckl, Jojo Mayer and others... He's the most technical and talented drummer in metal, for not talking about his speed and creativity, matched by few in the world...

  • Useless.

  • It's good, no doubt about that but he's got nothing on Mike Smith from Suffocation...

  • @TheObsidianNightfall Mike Smith is a badass, but come one man. There are alot of drummers that I would say are much faster or more technical.

  • This guy is pretty fucking good but no one touches George Kollias or the drummer in Behemoth

  • @tjfats2 I absolutely don't agree, HH is the best and most talented drummer alive today with Kollias... Inferno of Behemoth is far from the level of HH and GK, for sure...

  • @MrAlucard222 Don't forget Derek Roddy.

  • Black Metal owns all the best drummers: Hellhammer, Frost (my fave and the fastest I've heard), Nick Barker (England's own) and Trym (underrated & faster live than on the albums)....

  • @dentos01 Don't forget inferno :D though he does more death metal.

  • mmm yum

  • I'm so glad I got to see him in Portland with Dimmu Borgir in like...'2007. I was so excited, I almost killed my friend when they began to play: "Kings of the Carnival Creation." :) \m/ But, I heard that his spine was injured or something and couldn't play anymore...this upset me. It was upsetting when I read Phil Collins can't play anymore either. :\ I would go fucking insane, I'm a percussionist to the bone!

  • @Carafota Flo Mounier?

  • jordisson iz way betta

  • how do they do that in viking boots??????

  • Who the fuck cares who's fastest. Hellhammer is not just about speed. His drumming in Arcturus especially borders on genius, go listen to the La Masquerade Infernale album, he really is something special.

  • best drummer ever

  • Damn I got a chance to see him in SYDNEY..IT was fucking amazing...

  • i dont understand why death metal and black metal drummers always choose that shitty click noise for their triggers. i understand they use triggers because the bass drum just mic'ed is hard to hear when going fast, but why must they choose that dumb sound. cant they just get a normal bass drum sound on the trigger and have that. it just seems silly when i hear the normal drums with the click under it

  • @i69hate69you A lot of times drummers will have both the "click" of the triggers and the natural bass drum sound mixed over each other. perhaps you can only hear the click because of the camera mic or something

  • My hero

  • fuck yeah

  • @Zeromaxy check out job for a cowboy's drummer or nile's both quite impresive on there own. Hellhammer tho. sick fucking drummer in agreement

  • 19 ppl want to get their face blast beated till they cry

  • A god. Beside Frost

  • Who ever the fuck is faster, he'll always be more awesome!

  • He fucking drums in new rocks! EPIC WIN!

  • I don't understand peoples problem with triggers. Although I do understand that it takes away the need to be consistent with the force behind the kick, besides that it's no different than a mic on a drum.

  • He makes his drum kit sound like a battlefield full of machine guns and mortars! Haill Hellhammer!

  • Joey Jordison or Hellhammer??

  • @kazertik Why even ask?

  • @kazertik Hellhammer

  • @kazertik Who ?

  • it is awsome!!!! and it is fast!!!!:D

  • Hey, this dude isn't half bad.

  • Fucking dorks... Just watch it n stfu.....

  • Steve Gadd rulezzz

  • hey, what the fuck does it matter who plays faster? I don't think music is about speed..

  • Having seen Mayhem live, I can say that HH can easily replicate the studio recordings in the live setting. The songs from, say, Grand Declaration of War are played perfectly live, and those songs are full of complexity. The guy is simply amazing to watch.

  • i just got sick seeing that. that was the shit!

  • "Boohoo, Drummer A is faster!"

"No, hoohoo, Drummer B is faster!"

    "No, stop saying that!"

    "You stop saying that!"

    Lousy Internet-Speedwanksters.

  • @TheBlablabla1985 In extreme metal, being fast is a very important skill to have. Also, it's not just his speed that makes him good. He is very precise and has a good amount of technicality in his work.

I'm not saying he is the best, he could well be the best but i'm not going to put an absolute onto it.

  • @TheBlablabla1985 apparently all that matters to some people is playing really fast

  • @000MidnightSun Maybe because they enjoy highspeed playing?

  • @TheBlablabla1985

Speed doesn´t matter!! The sound in general, the beats, the whole thing has to be judged!

  • Eh, it's not about speed. Hellhammer just happens to fit himself into bands as a drummer very well, providing a drum track capable of tying together several lousy musicians. Take Mayhem for instance. Necrobutcher isn't prized for his abilities...

  • @MorkaGraven Grand Declaration and on are pretty technical.....

  • @TheBlablabla1985 Heck, don't bother, it's the internet. They wouldn't start an argument in real life, instead they choose to do it safely behind their screens.

  • @TheBlablabla1985 It's not just about speed with Hellhammer. He is extremely capable of intricate rhythms and well thought out fills. There was some live rehearsal video from "Grand Declaration of War" that I found was a good example of his capabilities. Extreme tempos come with the genre so it's like a package deal, which is why people brag about his double kick/blast beat abilities too.

  • OMG HE CAN MOVE HIS FEET REALY FAST HE IS TEH BEST DRUMMER IN THE WERLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @kosmonavt1917

    WRONG!!!!!!!!!

  • From what i've seen Kollias is a bit faster then hellhammer but I have not seen a huge amount of this guy so there is a possibility that I am wrong.

  • @flashminka Exactly, there is only this video about HH's drumming, and it's bad filmed with bad sound, the double bass is not audible, only little hands work... I assure you that HH is a bit faster than Kollias, believe me...

  • @MrAlucard222 Kollias is faster. Hellhammer is more talented all around.

  • @hellsfist311

you sir, are wrong. kollias tops out at about 250bpm (double bass), hellhammer has gone as quick as 290bpm in 'the chosen legacy' by dimmu. kollias also uses the blast beat in more songs, so amazement of his speed is in every song, unlike hellhammer who adds bits of raw speed into each song, whilst keeping a steady paced beat.

  • @DontLikeBandsIHate THEY ARE BOTH AMAZING...JUST WATCH THE AMAZINGNESS AND QUIT FIGHTING ABOUT IT :D \m/

  • @DontLikeBandsIHate Hellhammer is trigged up his butt...

  • @Nichlas93

so? every drummer worth his salt has triggers to enhance the sound. some exceptions include; roddy, kollias and wildoer. otherwise, metal drummers tend to use triggers. but hellhammer's kit is borderline electronic.

    teufelstomb (.) com / interviews / mayhem-1999/

  • @Nichlas93 Obviously you haven't listen to his work with Winds, Shining and Age Of Silence, when he use a complete acoustic kit, with absolutely no trigger and electronic stuff... Do a search before say stupid things...

  • @MrAlucard222 you are, like 90% of the other people that comment here, a huge fanboy...

  • @Nichlas93 The difference is that i write real things, because i am really informed about HH's drumming... You seem only an HH's hater that write only things against him... As i say before, do a little search about HH, triggers, drummers and drum in general... You are a fanboy, not me...

  • @MrAlucard222 Personally I do not have anything against him, he actually is a good drummer... just stated that he is oftenly trigged.... anyway.. how am I the fanboy? I'm not the one trying to defend a person I don't know for all costs... as if he cares what I think anyway...

  • @Nichlas93 Defending someone or attacking him, it's basically the same thing... However, i defend HH because "certain people" doesn't know almost anything about him and his drumming, writing untruths about him... Triggers doesn't improve your speed or ability, you know that? So i didn't see the problem, really... Kollias, Roddy and almost every other metal drummer use triggers, but it's not cheating, understand this! You heard HH in Winds, Shining, Age Of Silence, Mayhem's Ordo Ad Chao and more?

  • @MrAlucard222 thinking that you refer to me when you say "certain people"... anyway, I know that HH does not suck. I just stated that he has more triggers than I have limbs... anyway, Winds - ok.. Shining - nah.. AOS - nah.. Mayhems Ordo - sucks... but yeah, HH is talented, just do not like his trigging

  • @Nichlas93 Ok, but he not use triggers everytime and in every bands, and triggers are not cheating, because if it's cheating, almost every metal or fast drummer is a cheater... Many people don't understand or know this thing, that's it... I'm clear? Try to listen to Shining, Age Of Silence and his many other bands... Ah, and in Ordo Ad Chao he use triggers only on the double bass...

  • Hellhammer is without a doubt THE best drummer PERIOD

  • name described!!!!!

  • HELLHAMMER <3

  • que rayado men una maquina!!!!

  • Hellhammers speed without much practice (by practice I mean like he's doing foot for 1 year straight to break the record) is pretty pretty close to world records themselves, if he did bother about them I'm sure he'd break some of them, but that's not his style and that's why I love him..

  • GK's hand aren't faster than Hellhammers, GK also fails blast beats pretty often live.

Do not compare people like Chris Adler, Tim Yeung or GK to Hellhammer, cause that is just ridiculous because they're mainstream and I bet you haven't heard 1/10 of Hellhammers work which is immense tho :)

Only extreme drummers who MIGHT stand up to HH are Trym, Inferno and Derek Roddy. However I have utmost respect for Frost as well for his characteric black metal sound.

  • @Zeromaxy- Are you kidding? Derek Roddy, noway bro.

  • @burythebody666 Roddy is an excellent drummer. I named couple of extreme drummers who MIGHT stand up to Hellhammer, that doesn't make them better or equal to him...

  • @Zeromaxy Finally a person who know the real valor of HH! Exactly, HH's speed are closer to speed record without specific practice, and if i'm not wrong, the double bass on The Chosen Legacy is the fastest db part ever recorded... You're right, HH is not mainstream like other death-progressive metal drummers, and for sure the majority of people know very little about HH's drumming... Maybe they know Dimmu or little Mayhem, but Winds, AOS, Shining, Arcturus, Mezzerschmitt, Carnivora and Jorn +

  • @Zeromaxy Lande are almost totally unknown for everyone... In metal-rock music HH is absolutely, with no doubt, the best drummer... You are a drummer?

  • @MrAlucard222 Am looking to become one soon enough, but I've done my fair share of watching drumming videos, nobody hasn't amazed me as much as Hellhammer did.

  • @Zeromaxy Then clearly you don't watch enough!, as Kollias has been clocked the fastest on one fucking foot!, then Nick barker whos work on Misanthropia was fucking superb!!!, his double kick work is absolute nuts and his rolls are spasticly quick!, not to mention his splash accents!.

Ive played drums for 17 years, i know what im talking about!.

  • @85Aheadstix Clearly you don't know absolutely anything about Hellhammer and his many different bands... Hellhammer is the fastest on planet with Kollias, but HH has a complete and perfect technique... He's the most complete drummer on earth, with an infinite talent for every type of music... HH is way more talented and faster than N. Barker man, only G. Kollias can compete with HH, no one else... As i said a long time ago, try Winds, Arcturus, Shining, Mayhem, Jorn Lande and more with HH...

  • @MrAlucard222 All musicians are good in their own way. Yet I completely agree with you Kollias, Hellhammer and probably Inferno are the only real current 'best' extreme drummers around.

  • @Carafota Look up Nicholas Barker.

  • @ffp08 Is a nobody compared to HH.

  • @Zeromaxy Try Behemoth's Inferno. A true living, breathing machinegun.

  • @Zeromaxy You should look up some Nicholas Barker drum videos if you want to be impressed.

  • @ffp08 The best Drummer of Blast beats!!!

  • @roldantavo insult! any talentless idiot can do blast-beats, and hellhammer is neither an idiot nor talentless. he deserves a spot up there with bill ward, nicko mcbrain, neil peart, nick menza, dave lombardo, randy castillo and ray philips

  • @Zeromaxy Check gene hoglan

  • @Zeromaxy- never said he wasnt, he's wonderful, just no comparison. As far as George goes he's extreamly underated and has one of the most powerful and developed styles in drumming,he may fail at times, but every drummer does, its a given, esspecially playing at extream tempos for a long period, dont hate on george, he's a wonderful drummer.

  • @burythebody666 HH rarely if ever fails. GK is an excellent drummer but not better than HH. He's definitely not underrated since he published his couple of videos

  • @Zeromaxy If you want advice, don't be afraid to ask! I'm a drummer... I heard and saw a lot of metal-rock drummers like Flo Mounier, Derek Roddy, Trym Thorson, George Kollias, Inferno, Tim Yeung, Marco Minneman, Vitek (r.i.p.), Chris Adler, Thomas Haake and much more, but HH is far superior than this guys... HH is on a restricted level of drummers, a god level... Exactly, HH never published video of his real drum's skills like others... You have the last Nidingr album with HH on drums?

  • @MrAlucard222 I agree. :) As for HH collection I've got Mayhems discography + some live stuff, Age of Silence, Winds, Arcturus, In Sorte Diaboli (which I find cool, he's put a whole new standard there), The Kovenant...I'm about to venture into Shining, Antestor, Mezzerschmitt...If you recommend Nidingr I shall take that into account too. Cheers :)

  • @Zeromaxy Well, buy fastly The Eerie Cold from Shining! The second song, Vemodets Arkitektur, has a long insane hyper fast double bass part that make me crazy! With Shining HH made only two albums, The Eerie Cold and Angst... Mezzerschmitt's album it's strange, but very good, with Grand Declaration Of War sound style... I don't have the two album with Antestor, unfortunately... I highly reccomend you to buy Judas by Carnivora and the fantastic Worldchanger by Jorn Lande, with prog-heavy metal +

  • @Zeromaxy jazzy drumming style by HH! And of course the new Nidingr album, Wolf Father, with HH on drums... Let me know if you like those albums and HH's drumming, ok? I've forgot the two albums with Troll and the ep with Vidsyn... HH's drumming in this albums it's nothing really special, well, ordinary work for him, but the music is very good... You don't have Stormblast remastered?

  • @Zeromaxy- He might have published videos, but it doesnt mean that he's not underrated, not many people are aware of him at all, hell the fact is not very many people are aware of extreame drummers in genral. Im aware Hellhammer is way better than George, how you put things just seemed to take away from George and how great a musician he really is. Anyway Hellhammer rules!

  • @skatealien28 I don't know who he is, but the first 6 on the list, is jazz-drummers :)

  • @Zwiggifier The first 7! Hellhammer is a jazz drummer... ;)

  • I would have to say niko Mcbrain for iron maiden is the best drummer ever

  • he's insane..hell yeahh

  • yehaaaaaaaaaaaaa hellhammer forever ¡¡¡¡¡the beast¡¡¡ and the best¡¡¡¡

  • Is this the drummer that recorded Battles in the North?

  • @TommySalamy He just toured with them in this period and was in the video for "grim and frostbitten kingdoms"The drums in this album were played by Abbath

  • Comment removed

  • According to readers of Rhythm, Joey Jordison is the best drummer of the past 25 years- Hellhammer didn't even make the top 20. Google it, it's the worst list I've ever seen. Travis Barker is at Number 6!

  • @DrCornwallis100 I agree to that the list is shit, since it was a fan voting so it was really who has the most fans, not who is the best drummer.

  • @flerden92 Exactly, that list is a nonsense... Ok, there are some very skilled drummers, but the major part are only famous...

  • @DrCornwallis100 joey is not the best, there r many underrated drummers who dont go in the list because they r not known and because they play metal...for me, travis barker is not even in my top 50 list, so ur taste in drumming sucks...haha

  • @naplame

I was displaying my shock that Travis Barker was in the list at all, not that I wanted him there... fucking hell. I'm on a Hellhammer video, do you really think I'd like Travis Barker?

  • @DrCornwallis100 6? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

    and joey jordison? psh. whatever.

  • better than Kollias and Roddy...? dont fool yourselfs.

  • @ShitAndLobster Yes man, he's better than Kollias and Roddy... Open your ears, and listen well to the other metal drummers, deathfan... There are better drummers than George and Derek, and one of these is Hellhammer... HH is too technical and fast for Kollias and Roddy... This is just a solo that mean nothing... I hope you change your mind, man, but i understand that there's a problem of taste...

  • @MrAlucard222 Sorry, HellHammer is not better than roddy by any means. Derek Roddy's versatility beats hellhammer in every way possible, and I don't even see how you can compare the two. Kollias is faster than Hellhammer, and Roddy is more technical than Hellhammer. I love them all to death, but you cant even compare the 3.

  • @decrapitation They' re two different styles. You can't compare a black metal drummer to a death metal drummer cause death has many more technical stuff to play than black which is much more simple in terms of technical playing.Although HH has managed to play a lot of technical stuff to a genre that has nothing to do with it.It would be more proper to compare these 3 if HH was playing in a death metal band,

  • @Posthumanify Honestly, black metal and death metal have very similar fills and blast beats etc, so I think they can be compared. I'm sorry, but to me it seems like hellhammer just hits everything at the same time, and never stops to groove. Roddy is all over the place, and his technical playstyle just overall surpasses HH. I love them all man, and I don't think I have seen a drummer yet who can surpass Roddy's versatility and hand/foot coordination. Hellhammer is still amazing though.

  • @decrapitation There is no doubt that Derek is a good drummer for death metal.HH has played different styles, from black, power, progressive, avantgard and so on so we can say that he is a really talented drummer not only playing blast but progressive stuff too.Derek is fast as hell but I've only heard them do nothing more than blasting and he is really good at it.We've heard HH in more slow parts and his technique is unbelievable cause in my opinion a drummer;s talent is not blasting

  • @decrapitation In Grand declaration... HH has played some serious kick ass drums from mid tempo to up tempo.I think his work there is presice and excellent.

I'm not a fan of Hate Eternal but I've seen some videos of Derek and he's more into blasting to hell and some nice breaks. My opinion

  • @Posthumanify Exactly, no doubt that Roddy is a hell of a drummer, but in technique HH is more various and more talented for me... Plus in terms of speed HH is faster, so in my opinion is a better overall drummer...

  • @decrapitation Listen to HH's albums with Mayhem, Dimmu Borgir, Winds, Shining, Age Of Silence and Arcturus and let me know if Roddy and Kollias are better than Hellhammer... Kollias faster and Roddy more technical? No... Maybe you like their more for a matter of taste, but i assure you that HH is the fastest in the world and one of the most technical drummers alive... I like Derek and George, don't get me wrong, but HH is superior, believe me...

  • @MrAlucard222 Dimmu Borgir held Hellhammer back I think. I have heard some Age of Silence and I am a very huge fan of Arcturus. Honestly, I wish there were more HH vids out there, he is hard to catch on camera I am guessing. I am a bigger fan of Arcturus than I am Nile and Hate Eternal. I think Hellhammer is better than Kollias, Derek Roddy just seems to kick ass at everything he does. Check out some of his Serpent's Rise shit, it is pure talent.

  • @decrapitation Listen to Prominence And Demise by Winds, and The Eerie Cold by Shining... HH in this two albums play without trigger, neither in the double bass, and his technique and speed are truly insane! I am a drummer, an for my experience, HH's parts are more technically complex than Roddy's parts, so for me HH's drumming are much technical and faster than Roddy's...

  • @MrAlucard222 Hellhammer is unquestionably the best drummer on the planet. His technique and originality are second to nobody. I'd go so far as to say he's twice as good as the next guy.

Been listening to black metal for 25 years and I only just got into Mayhem. I remember not liking them back around the Deathcrush LP but now I think they are completely amazing. They need to get Maniac back though.

  • @nomadtrash88 Totally agree, HH is a lot more than a metal drummer... In metal he's the best for sure, nobody can match his technique and speed... Same for me, i prefer the new Mayhem, because they are much more progressive and complicated, especially on the drums and guitars... Maniac, in my opinion, is the best Mayhem's vocalist, in Wolf's Lair Abyss, Grand Declaration Of War and Chimera he do an astonishing work for sure! What albums do you have with HH on drums?

  • @MrAlucard222 George Kollias rapes him in speed

  • @MrAlucard222 George Kollias rapes him in speed...

  • @Nichlas93 Are you crazy?! George Kollias is slower than HH, don't say bullshit... I understand that you hate HH, but say that Kollias is faster it's a nonsense... Frost's drumming spectacular? Well, doing blast beats all the time it's pretty boring... HH is a jazz drummer, Frost cannot compete with him, it's stupid compare the two... ;)

  • @MrAlucard222 GK's hands are much much faster. As for feet maybe HH wins barely. GK is a god, HH is a demigod.

  • @MrAlucard222 I don't hate Hellhammer, he is a fantastic drummer, but i favor Frost (he does almost not blast in new satyricon). And Kollias is faster, that is actually a fact

  • @Nichlas93 Yeah yeah, Kollias is faster, ok... In your dreams maybe? Really, i'm tired to respond to you about that question... Kollias IS NOT faster than HH, ok? How can you say that? Of course you don't have listened well to HH's work... Saying that Kollias is faster it's a nonsense... Take to us a prove of that... Zeromaxy has already answered to you about that untruth...

  • @MrAlucard222 search for his solos...

  • @Nichlas93 I see the solos of George Kollias many time before... And i assure you that HH is faster with hands and feets, for not talking about the technical execution... HH is a jazz drummer, remember that... How many solos of death metal drummers are on youtube in comparison of HH's solos? You cannot compare the two only with the solos on internet, because there is only one solo of HH, plus bad filmed with bad sound...

  • @MrAlucard222 I would have to side a bit with Nichlas93... go to my profile and see the video of kolliases bass drum exorsise...

  • @7ColdNightmare I see many videos of Kollias play the double bass... I assure you, as a drummer, that HH is a bit faster than him, with feets and hands... You ever see a solo good filmed of HH?

  • @nomadtrash88 sorry for interrupting you but you say you listen to black metak for 25 years and now you got into Mayhem?and what where you listening to?

  • How does he get the Bassdrums to click like that?

  • @Mephorashband Triggers.

  • @80sGreekCultCinema For me no... Maybe you like more George for a matter of taste but Hellhammer is way better than Kollias in speed and technical...

  • He's probably the only drummer i know, who can get sooo fucking well away with hitting his own sticks so much XD

  • THE BEST DRUMMER EVER!!!!! and a good video too;) nice work

  • as far as i know, Hellhammer is #7 on the drummers top 100, and is the top rated of all metal drummers... everyone can have their "top drummers" but down on paper, it's probably Hellhammer who rules metal. Personly i do prefer Inferno from Behemoth, but hellhammer do kick ass :P

  • @Zwiggifier

    THX for that great comment!!

  • @18KROM I'm with you 18KROM! For me Hellhammer crushes every metal drummer... He can only compare to insane jazz drummer like Dave Weckl, Vinnie Colaiuta, Virgil Donati, Mike Mangini and so on... PERIOD

  • @Zwiggifier They have a top 100 now? That's just lame.

  • @Zwiggifier #1 :)

  • @MaximumV5 For sure, HH is the best... :)

  • @Zwiggifier whos number 1 atm?

  • @Zwiggifier who is the #1?

  • lol this would make Joey Jordison shit his pants fuck slipknot

  • i have met both frost and hellhammer..i can die happy

  • @deathlikesilence666 I'm jealous .....

  • By far the best black metal drummer!!!!!!!

  • @Posthumanify no..

  • @Nichlas93 any other suggestions?

  • @Posthumanify Frost

  • @Nichlas93 Are you kidding me?Frost is a complete zero compared to HH.The only thing Frost can do is blasts.Zero technical skills and low quality fills.Impressive!!!Especially in the last Satyricon albums (which are shaming black metal) I assure you I can play much better than this (and I haven't hit a tom in my life)

  • @Posthumanify Totally agree, you centre the point... I think it's stupid compare Frost with HH... It's like compare shit with chocolate... HH is an inhuman jazz drummer, and Frost is a punk drummer with only passable blast beats, stop...

  • @MrAlucard222 you're absolutely right. It is obvious if you listen to Grand Declaration... and any Satyricon album. You don;t have to be a drummer to realize that :P

  • @Posthumanify Exactly... Plus i am a drummer, and you are absolutely right... It seems that you are a fan of HH, right? What albums you have with HH on drum?

  • @MrAlucard222 you're right!I love his style and how he fills a song.I have almost all Arcturus albums (since I'm loving them),Mayhem (for being my favorite band),Troll (I really like "the last predators" and "universal"),Shining (really good work),Mezzerschmitt (cool) but in general I listen to his stuff in no matter band he has contribute in,from Winds to Vidsyn and Jorn:P

  • @Posthumanify Great man, you rule! I have all the albums with HH, except the two with Antestor, because i can't find them, and Worldchanger with Jorn Lande for the same thing... The two Troll albums are very good, but the drum are too triggered, for me... Mezzerschmitt's album is brilliant with the sound type of Grand Declaration Of War, too bad that's the only album made... You have the Thorns's album? And the two Dimmu Borgir albums with HH?

  • @MrAlucard222 Fuck!I totally forgot the inhuman Thorns which is the best release of the decade at least. He has done a really good job in Borgir but it's not my style as in Antestor too.Yes,you're right bout the triggered drums especially in "universal" album.Sometime Blasphemer said that is going to be a second Mezzerschmitt album but without HH on drums but it never came out (until now).Thorns changed HH too and Troll (which "neo-satanic supremacy" is a complete shit ).

  • @MrAlucard222 they say something for an Arcturus reunion.Let's hope:P

  • @Posthumanify Really, if the Arcturus reunion come, it will be a miracle! Yes, Dimmu Borgir are not the right band for HH's style, for sure... Actually the perfect band for HH are Winds or Mayhem (as usual!)... You have the albums with Umoral and Death Of Desire? And any news about Mayhem? There are rumors that Thorns take back HH for the new album, and The Kovenant do the same thing for the next release Aria Galactica, you know it? I can't wait for new stuff with HH on drums...

  • @MrAlucard222 As far as I know Thorns had a new drummer for a new album as Snorre changed the old line up except Aldrahn,But in my opinion the Thorns album will be the last one:( HH made a guest appearance in two or three tracks if I;n right in the Death Of Desire album which is a bad replica of Dimmu Borgir.HH's work is just awesome.Umoral is a really brilliant two track demo with HH playing really nice but not something special. The new Niding album is excellent with HH as a guest drummer

  • @MrAlucard222 I don't have any news for Kovenant since I don't like this kind of music they play, although "animatronic" was a really cool album, but if I'm correct HH left cause he wasn't agreed with the whole change in music. As for Mayhem don't know the future of the band since is extremely difficult to find a replacement for Blasphemer.A nice miracle will be if Snoree rejoined Mayhem.Atrue dream:P

  • @MrAlucard222 my apologies. The guest appearance to the bad replica of Birgir is Eyes Of Noctum in which the son of Nicholas Cage is playing the guitar.Death of Desire is a complete shit band from the tracks I've heard and HH do nothing special cause the whole music sucks

  • @Posthumanify Too bad that i can't find the Eyes Of Noctum's album with HH, and same thing for Umoral and Death Of Desire... I'm from Italy and i can't find all the stuff with HH, unfortunately... I'm curious about the new stuff because i want to hear HH's drumming after the injury, the neck prolapse that give me a lot of worries...What band are Niding? HH plays in every tracks? And HH plays in after the injury?

  • @Posthumanify And soon a new Age Of Silence's album came out, with a little change in the line up, and HH is still the drummer obviously! Any news about Winds? And you have the Endezzma stuff with HH? Too bad that he left Shining, The Eerie Cold is great, better than Angst, with an insane double bass part in Vemodets Arkitektur...

  • @MrAlucard222 Death Of Desire haven't release anything yet except from some tracks you can find on Myspace. HH has totaly recovered from the injury so he is as good as new.Nidingr is a black metal band with Thorns/late Mayhem sound.Great riffing by Teloch(also they have collaborated together in Umoral with HH).HH plays in all the songs and his stuff is excellent and fast. From Winds and Age of Silence no news at all for me.I agree with you that Eerie Cold was a great release and better than Angs.
