Ahh the good old 555 IC, can come very much in handy sometimes. You can also use two NAND gates to produce a similar type of oscillator.

yep, inverters do it as well... but the 555 is enough for my project.

for exact frequencies i have a very expensive DDS board which has a tolerance of less than 0.05 hertz
