Watching that with today's eyes, there was a LOT of hooking and holding that went on back then. The game, as bloody and violent as it was, was slow but entertaining. These days, it's all about numbers during the season and only really gets good during the last month and playoffs.

These type of hits have become prevelant since more European players have come to the NHL.
