  • go get that girl! she's out threre TRUST ME!

  • wow, i didnt know this was still around, had all thier music only to, well i dont know where it went. Thanks to ReStartMusic....

  • I listened to this album over and over in the summer I graduated from HS - summer of 76!. I was dating a girl who joined the army, never heard from her again, always wonder if she is still out there somewhere, this brings back memories.

  • very Beattleish, but good

  • Anus of Uranus is a friend of mine...

  • Song's high point is at 1:24.

  • @Delmarvellous

    No, it's at 2:16

  • @guellrich That's a good one too.

  • About associating Klaatu with the Beatles let me say RUMoRS, RUMoRS , RUMoRS !

Give the guys in Klaatu their own credit... Thanks for posting them

    boomer224

  • i hear a bit of queen in their work too ;D

  • i cant believe that people are still making these assertions and comparisons after all this time. i'll say what i said back then,,,,,,,,just let them be klaatu.,,,,,,,,isnt that enough, they were great!

  • I dont think that its too far fetched to suggest the Beatles had a hand in Klaatu's music; perhaps they put stuff out secretly THROUGH Klaatu, in other word's, the Beatles gave them some tracks to record such as this one, which sounds quite George Harrison esque...and as people have already said, that sounds exactly like McCartney at the end.

  • @1FineYoungCannibal The Beatles had nothing to do with this album. The three band members of Klaatu give a detailed explanation of the origin of the Beatles rumours on the official Klaatu band web site. You will find it here: klaatu.org/klaatu1.html

  • Sounds like Harrison not like the Beatles they are far away frome the rest

  • Such a happy upbeat song. I like it!

  • Sounds like McCartney to me?

  • @nosferatu388 well you are a fool... the vocals are distinctly different

  • @anycolouryouwant So What, Your the Vocal Expert Now??

  • @nosferatu388 you mean you're... its nothing to to with expertise... you can hear the difference with ease

  • @anycolouryouwant If it's with so much ease then why do other Fans of KLAATU believe or maybe just for one brief moment the Beatles had reunited and put out an Album like no other Their are distinct songs that could be mistaken for The Fab Four & then their were the clues to Discover the identities of the mystery men behind this awesome album....All in Great Fun... I still say in one part of California Jam it sounds like Sir Paul Whom i'll be seeing in concert 8-14-10 at the Big Joint in Philly

  • @nosferatu388 Actually it sounds more George Harrison.

  • @acholl980 Actually i don't care!!

  • i know this album but forgot about this song somehow, like

  • oh yeah

  • Swinging on the beach...to the sounds of their time...still gives me goosebumps after 30+ years!

  • Listened to these songs while under the hypnotic induced spells by inferior satanic influenced new jersey bastards who have no idea what real power is. Now, I own them. They have nothing on me. They better run for cover. Yo ! Live in Bridgeport and Swedesboro ? Better start shopping for Depends. I can climb into your dreams you scum suckers. What's for supper, Dupper ?

  • When these guys first came out, they were the mystery band. Rumor was the Beatles got back together. There was a video here on youtube that told the whole story. I had their first 2 LPs.

  • I used to listen to these guys while tripping on acid back in high school. Haven't listened to them in 20 years. Kind of cool finding these songs out here.

  • My uncle got me into these guys, this is some of the best music i have ever heard! I have the first album on vinyl, still looking for the other 4 albums.

  • It sounds like the Beatles were hanging out with the Beach Boys and just decided to throw something really creative together as a memento of their vacation. Did you hear the tambourine? Very Beach Boys.

And at 1:59 to 2:09, it sounds like Paul McCartney.

  • Again I must say, music like this is not being created anymore....so sad.

  • at 2:29 sounds paul mcCartney saying California.

  • qué recuerdos tan maravillosos!

  • Klaatu is one of 5 good Canadian Classic/Progressive Rock bands

The others in my opinion are BTO, The Guess Who, Rush, and The Hip

  • Who is the lead singer of this song?!?

  • Either Dee Long or John Wolschuck

  • God, does this ever bring back wonderful memories!

  • Heard lots of rumors in regards to this album, such as "who REALLY were the band members(was it the Beatles revamped, putting out an album that would equal the success of their past albums?)" and/or.....

" Paul McCartney-is HE the person who sings out '"California"'(2:29-2:30)....etc.

(I still have the album, but it hasn't been played in years).

  • Wish I still had this "ALBUM"

  • I got it! And, I'm glad I do. It's such a peculiarity (have the second one as well).

  • In my humble opinion the best track on the album, production is a bit thin, good singing & playing though ; )

  • GREAT SONG!

  • LOOK AT THE SHROOMIES HEHEHE

I ALLWAYS LOVED THIS TRACK that brings back some memories thanks mate

  • Awesome, thanks and could you possibly post Sub Rosa Subway?Cheers.

  • one of my faves;-)

    cheers

  • A sunny album cover, a sunny song, sunny harmonies

  • @gwddd I'm afraid you mistook the cover for the book!!!! This song is about California after the

"San Andreas misfortune".... after it has been destroyed by an earthquake. One day California will be

    "one sweet memory"!

As for the sunny cover ................ that's a whole 'nother story!!!! Just ask.
