4:10. "Not being able to say you're a Chr... I mean American." Sure pal, because you just can't tell people you're a Christian anymore in America. Or you can't say you're an American. Give me a break.
This is fantastic! We have our own committee up in Idaho. Actually there are several springing up in Idaho and all across the country for that matter. The Tea Parties were only the beginning. This isn't just about Obama either. George Bush opened the door with his spending and Obama just threw the door wide open. Both the Republican Congress and the Democratic Congress have all had their hand in the cookie jar. It is time to close the jar and say enough is enough! WE are in charge now!
What many fail to see is that the founding of our country was an answer to religious freedom. Our forefathers simply could not fathom America would one day turn against it's Christian roots. Shutting God out of our country will be our downfall. We NEED religious freedom, not censorship from an overreaching repressive government!
That's why the 2nd Ammendment was put in the Constitution. Incase our government got too big for its britches, we could go and get them out and install new members.
Unfortunately getting anybody to sponsor legislation to oust these trash would be impossible. America is going to pc itself into oblivion. Can you see any state militia able to bring about change? They would crack down on that state so fast. It would have to be a war and Americans are too lazy to rise and defend themselves. Here in WV we can't even oust Sens. Byrd and Rockefeller.
I'm one of the people that help start this group (RPsupporter). We started in a small restaurant, 6 people, grew to 80 and had to find a bigger place. This church offered their space for free so we started meeting there. So jumping to the conclusion that this is a christian group is way off base. All religions here. Our only focus is to educate people about our founding principles and Constitution. Our rally on May2 drew 1000 people and our Constitutional siminar is sold out (500 people)
Yu don't have to defend yourself as far as the Christian cross. If some heathen doesn't like it they can shove it. If they arn't picking on that, they will look for something else to gripe about. Just do what you know is write and let the nay sayers say what they want.
Thank you for your interest! Don't be so upset. It took many of us years before we figured it out and got it. Please keep watching and listening and soon it will click for you also! :)

So let's see here its Tea Party against big Government (not the current Government alone) wink, wink. And let's see well have the congressman elected in office after a Republican redistricting campaign by the biggest government ever, with the highest defict that they voted for. OOOKAAAYEEeeeee. Real swing vote grassroots campaign going on here, I can just FEEL it!
Because Satan knows that he can cause confusion in the hearts and minds of man by encouraging God's people to ignore the admonishment to live a separated, sanctified life, he has tried to deny the value of separation. He even goes so far as to say that God does not tell the truth about separation. Satan told Eve, ". . .Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil" (Gen. 3:4-5).
Placing religion in this is wrong. There are many religions with pretty much the same values. The values of humanity and neighborly love need to be expressed more instead of a christian view. Not there there is anything wrong with christian religion, but it alienates other religions that have very similar values that go by a different name. I admire the coming together of community and educating the people. Religion needs to stay in church though. As a christian,we should love not cast judgment
Could you read you first and last sentence and then ask, "Oh, did I just judge?" Your claim of alienation is false unfound in fact. The only alienation created here is in your comment,
Not really, I said above that many religions share the same values. We all share common principles in religion. Does that mean Jewish people do not have the same values? Or Muslims?
The debate should be on constitutional values, the entire point of the constitution. Liberty for all, not just christian values.
I still fail to see any Constitutional value in your initial sentence. Technically the Constitution talks about "No religious test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office ...." It's the First Amendment that says "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion". Youre welcome to the judgment that Placing religion in this is wrong, but the Constitution only prohibits laws from impairing religion, it does not prohibit them from including them.
Ok, simply stated then, we are americans. It does not matter if we are Christians, martians, etc.. All I am saying is it seems everyone needs to identify themselves as this or that. It is self segregating. Like you said, no religious tests, so why make it a point in constitutional talks.
I just think that in the quest for being ideal Americans, people cling to groups to identify themselves, which gives the appearance of certain stigmas from people outside the group. Like "crazy right wingers"
I do admire what this group is doing though, I admire all grassroots and tea party movements. I am sorry if you thought my comments offensive. just some input from the outside is all.
I touched on this subject at the 912 project and got attacked. I stated basically the same thing about self segregating and how injecting religion into everything will scare some people that are on the 'hairy" edge away. Some of the folks over a 912 are making discussion boards based around religion a prerequisite to be accepted into the blogs and when that standard isn't met you get attacked. At least that is what it felt like being there.
Yeah, I don't know why people cant keep their religion to themselves. It is such a personal thing anyways. There are many ways that people pray to their god. A christian that pushes their believes upon another in a matter of policy practices hypocrisy and undermines the constitution that gives people the right to believe whatever they want. If people want to be a good christian, let your actions speak, not policies.
When you can't talk about Christianity in America, a country that was founded on Christian principles, a country that used the Holy Bible in schools to teach kids to read, you know you are doomed as a society. I won't even say "God bless America" anymore, because WE do not deserve andy blessings from Him after we as a whole turned our backs on him and 'selected' a muslim socialist ------ thing to be president.
There is always a time and place for religion; but without freedom you will have none of that. The politicians stay in office by perpetuating division and religion is the perfect tool. The fight is about freedom because without it there is no religion. It is taking shape right now.
"Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing;..." II Cor. 6:17). From the very beginning of time God warned His people to separate themselves from evil.
It was a great meeting and I was shocked by all the people we had in attendance. I have been attending for many weeks and am glad to see our numbers grow. I gave a speech during one of our meetings and was very prowd to have my part heard and carried forth. Our founders believed in not only God but the Christian ways. We must return to that way in order to return to our freedom. I look forward to our next meeting and our rally on May 2nd.
Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and John Quincy Adams, were trully inspirational men. The others were great men too who had their own beliefs, but these guys concieved authored and co-authored the bill of rights, the constitution and well as lead our government as it formed.
this is exactly what we need to stop doing - paying attention to the issues and stop defending the way y'all feel

The constitution of USA seems to be a big problem.
Maybe you people should get a new constitution and abolish your states.
You could then control firearms better, allow gay marriage easily, and remove the nonsense about gold and silver.
