@talentmetalspcialist First of all. Everyone has it`s OWN PREFERENCE in whatever type of drumming they/you play. Of course i know that rudiments are escential and important in a drummers practice, but you need to understand that those that only focus on speed and leave the principals behind are just ignoring where drumming starts, as well all the elements that can be applied to the music. I`ve seen so many DVD`s that it is more than clear that theres more than just speed!
@mrbdig Thanks man! Yeah, i know. I didn`t know how to edit very much back then, plus YT always has some bad conversion going on once you upload it. The newer covers will be edited with a better software and mixed properly, thanks for stopping by!
@UnFaliedMusic Hahaha. Thanks for the comment man, it`s all about practice and getting your stuff down. Other wise i wouldn`t make it through this song!
HAHA.
kinda sounds like your left hand needs to play a little catch-up while you're blasting. your kicks and gravities impressed me, from what i could hear and see. certainly a lot better than i could do. i also see this is old-ish.
@confettiembolism666 Thanks mate. Yeah, its a hard song!! I had to warm up very well to keep up, anyone can do this, its all about practice and more practice then you will eventually get there someday. Yep, the cover is a bit old but certainly not my latest since i don`t have my acoustic kit anymore i haven`t posted more stuff, i have a e-kit but i don`t feel comfortable playing it, i`ll post more videos as soon i get another acoustic kit!
@confettiembolism666 Awesome, you just need to practice and have the attitude! Haha, not really. I sold most of my stuff to get new things later on, and now i have a Mapex MPX 10x5.5 steel snare left, you´ll watch it in action once i get to upload another cover! Haha.
@giansk8er damn, i want a steel 10"! i have a maple firecracker - sounds awesome, but doesn't resonate enough for my tastes. i'd like it to be more obnoxious than it already is haha
@TheBRENDANSON I did cover a Nile song, but is not tight and i sucked at it! i have a couple of more covers in my channel if you would like to check them out. I`m not as good as other drummers out there, but atleast i give it a try! Haha.
@MaverickJimBob It`s just straight wrist and fingers, plus alot of practice to built stamina and resistance. You can practice with a metronome and increase the tempo depending on how long you can maintain constant notes or hits and be comfortable. Example, set the metronome at 80/100/120 or higher for 30 secs with your left hand and then 30 secs with your right, then alternate single strokes for a minute. I do that untill i reach my max tempo.
2:27 that double bass is insane, and those gravity blasts are sick! how did you get so fast?
i can't even do a slow gravityblast, and i love extreme music like this, kinda sucks when you can't play along to it haha, you got any tips to learn the gravity blast, just start slow and increase the speed i guess right?
@mackaus1 Haha. Yeah it`s mid speed actually, but sounds brutal. THANKS! It`s all about practice, i didn`t start slow (which im doing right now) i just pushed myself until i got it OK not perfect. Lol, i understand that i was in the same situacion untill i sat my ass down and practice alot to get where i am, as well keep everything tight and comfortable with time so i am still practicing alot. But yeah, start slow and then speed it up, check Johnny Rabb: The Official Freehand Technique!
@mackaus1 You can also check this one. Johnny Rabb explaining freehand technique. He`s the best example to teach this technique, any other questions just let me know!
@hc6777 THANKS BRO! My triggers are ok here, my newer videos will have a better trigger sound, as well it would be more audiable since i had the PA a bit low when i recorded this. THANKS once again, i`m glad you digged the cover!
@hc6777 That's ok, no worries. Haha, well thanks for the compliment man, well appreciated. Yeah, sure! If i get some free time soon i'll see when i can do it, i'm moving to europe but i'll keep that in mind, i also need to learn the song. Which one do you have in mind?
@hc6777 Haha. Your the second person that requests that song! I can give it a try, i'll listen to it and try to learn all the parts, as soon i get the time i'll give it a shot!
Haha I love this. Fuck what anyone says, this is skill AND speed. No doubts there. I bet anyone hating on this style of music either can't play it themselves or has seriously misunderstood the point in the first place.
@Zer0MT Hahahaha, your toooo kind bro!! Thanks so much for your words, means alot coming from a musician like you. I guess people have their personal preferences and way to point stuff out but, whatever! haha.
@giansk8er Nah it's cool dude, I always appreciate everyone's point of view, but there's a way of expressing that point. And some people just aren't good with words ;) Either way, can't please everyone all the time, you can only do what you enjoy. And anyone who knows about drummning or has an open mind when it comes to music should understand that even if they don't like metal, it still requires skill, effort and time to learn.
@Zer0MT That is nothing else but THE TRUTH!! You are sooo right man, people just dont know how to manage to express words or add a opinion that is relatively productive in the way a musician see`s things and how hard it is to TRY to get a good spot in music.
@giansk8er soz bud, its a point my friend brought up - he said theres no skill involved in that, just raw speed. he said the beats dont look that hard, its simply really fast
Oh ok. That's ok, skill is not everything, neither is speed. However, it takes practice to nail techniques that are needed to be used in high tempos but, it's fun playing this type of songs. It will also help you develop stamina and endurance in your playing among other benefits that at some point you might use. Haha, yeah. The song is about 265 bpm's on hands and like between 210-220 bpm's on the feet.
@necroot Hahahaha! Well, you may be able to play it or come up with something close to the beat, lets say... each time you smash the sticks those could sound like a half blast beat!!
@sengaija Hahaha! Trust me, this is reality! I had to sweat my ass off to pull out this song, and it´s not even close to the original, even though there are rumors that the recording of this album was with drum machine, but i still have full respect for Marco Pitruzella!

@lolexcel THANKS bro!!! I think i had a Remo coated emperor there, or maybe a Evans power center reverse dot, not sure which one of those i had one haha.
@PanzerTank521 Haha. Thanks for the compliment man! But Pitruzella is a great Gravity Blaster with both hands, i will admit that this song requires alot stamina so i had to apply a bit more of pressure to the stick to make the gravity blasts sound as clear as possible!
@bon2bonn Thanks man! I really appreciate your compliment. I have a bigger kit and setup now, my pedals are Axis X-L2 Longboards. Haha, don't be jealous bro you can reach these tempos with practice!

I honestly think that your gravity blasts are a lot faster than Pittruzella's.
PanzerTank521 1 year ago
@PanzerTank521 Haha. Thanks for the compliment man! But Pitruzella is a great Gravity Blaster with both hands, i will admit that this song requires alot stamina so i had to apply a bit more of pressure to the stick to make the gravity blasts sound as clear as possible!
