Long burst are fun. I don't know many Class 3 owners that have engaged much infantry lately. Most of us shoot them for fun and since it's our ammo we can waste it any way that makes us happy.
Haha, he's gonna burn that M60 up! Hell, mine cant sustain that rate of fire unless I douse it in coolant... Must be a damn good model. Good show, lads!
@LostZombieLaz you dont see his grin at the end? he isjust focused on what he is doing. no need to whip out his dickandjerk off while shooting the gun....but i know thats what youwanted to see.
I forget which battle/slaughter it was from the first world war in which the British lost something like 8000 men in the first half hour. But one could see how easy it would be with these kinds of MG's firing on masses of young soldiers sent to their deaths by ignorant commanders.
I think what needs to be realized is that the video is showing rather than comparing the 2 weapons. The 1928 is a fixed weapon wheras the M60 can be mobile (even though fixed in this video) The Vickers is an HMG and the M60 a LMG (and there's a reason why only the M60 is still carried)
Yes, but it can't do that in a single sitting, the barrel overheats. And, a water cooled machine gun is not useful in mobile operations because of its weight, in the weapon, water, ammo of its caliber, and extra water needed, if the used water is not recondensed.
but a machine gun doesn't have to be accurate. the biggest misrepresentation of the machine gun comes from the thought the machine gun should be used to chop targets in half.
the machine gun's use itself isn't meant to be accurate, it's an area weapon and you want a beaten zone, not a beaten person.
The M60 from a practical standpoint is a hell of a lot better. For one, it provides a mobile base of fire, and takes no time to set up other than reloading. It also has more stopping power.Of course, that guy was firing from a tripod instead of a bipod so mobility and recoil are affected. And of course, air cooled is a lot more reliable, although you can't just ramp away without worrying about the barrel overheating unlike watercooled.
0:01 Looks like it's printing a receipt.

why such a long burst? it's just a waste of ammo, you would never fire that long of a burst against infantry.

that Vickers(or similiar) machinegun kick asses but....the M60 is the M60 WTF!!!
uzhjf031chk 2 years ago
that is not a vickers (no bolt handle pivoting when the gun fires). Vickers also has a slightly lower rate of fire compared to the .30 cal.

There's only one way to improve this video, shred a Dodge Ram with the M-60 showing before and after photos.

1929 is water cooled and M60 is air cooled but they are both gas powered so don't be surprised that 1929 can fire more rounds then M60

its the genius of John Brownings design. the barrel moves to help eject the casings and i think it helps with recoil to0.

It can't overheat if there is water in it.
