  • you should add the flying scissor heel hook Ryo Chonan threw on Anderson silva man. That has got to go down in history as one of the top 10 submissions ever.

  • hmm, yah I dont know why...people dont choke each other in Chess lol. Any sport is like chess; you have to figure out what your opponent is gonna do next. But when it involves giving someone brain damage, its quite pathetic and inhumane.

  • Hey everyone! Just remember: DON'T feed the troll...

  • you should have put Anderson x Sonnen... that's would make the video perfect

  • 730 fight gear on youtube

  • This video just Motivated me even more..BJJ is just a great sport...just love it.

  • Hey @warlickerylulz, explain to me how in gods name I beat the shit out of a 2 year krav maga expert, and iam just a white belt bjj, only being training for 6 months. Please!!!!! This guy came to our academy and challenge us, oh by the way it was a no rules match. He tried to put his fingers in my eyes. After getting to the ground thanks to a hip throw got him in a armbar, he tap out. He tap out many many times, 5 to be specific, all submissions. Mhhh, a white belt bjj wins the match, me, lmfao

  • @rr92530 beat the shit? I thought this stuff wasnt about beating up people?!?!?!?!

  • Judo and BJJ ftw!!

  • a great video! Love the music! Everyone stop bitching and complaining! There is no bad martial arts only bad martial artists! Practice the style you are feeling comfortable with and what you enjoy! Sport and Self Defense will always be two different pair of shoes :)

  • But bjj wrestling even boxing is trained with light to maximum resitance.

  • If it was possible to train the jjj or krav maga techniques against a resisting opponent it would be more effective.

  • very kewl

  • this video needs more views

  • What's the name of the music in the background???

  • @KimuraPete

Ennio Morricone-L'estasi dell'oro (The Ecstasy of Gold)

  • I love bjj! Good for the body and soul

  • Wouldn't Chess-Jiu Jitsu be a better version of Chess-boxing?

  • 23 people are still trying to figure out how they got choked out...

  • Bad ass video!

  • A good sport, but not a self-defense discipline or of great use in real life.

  • @Warlockerylulz a guy in my gym with severe cerebral palsy was robbed at knifepoint and as a white belt choked the guy out and called the police.

  • @hendersonn11 if that isnt a testament to its real world effectiveness than i dont know what it is also to that warlock guy who only thinks in term of styles and not individual technuiqes you could use the multiple attackers claim about any martial art and not all technuiqes in bjj are used from ground theres plenty there for self defense why would a choke be less effective just because its not in competition? hes still gonna go out it doesnt make a difference

  • @Warlockerylulz Yeah keep telling yourself that mate.

  • @gutts077 What?

  • @Warlockerylulz You know BJJ was tried and tested in Vale Tudo competition right? Which has no rules and is the closest thing to a street fight on the planet! So your a fighter hey? What discipline? It can't be MMA otherwise you wouldn't question the validity of BJJ in a street setting.

  • @gutts077 Yes, actually, I can - I do MMA and do BJJ, I'm a brown belt - MMA has rules and restrictions, a street fight does not and going to the ground vs 2 people i sthe worst thing possible you should ever do, which is what BJJ is. -_-

  • @Warlockerylulz "Brown belt" hmm. Ok. So tell me, what is your take on the major armed forces around the world incorporating BJJ into their hand to hand combat curriculum? Are they wrong? Do you assume that all hand to hand combat on the battle field is one on one? How about women? Do you think BJJ is completely ineffective as a self defense tool for women? I see you've trotted out the old 'multiple attackers' line hey? I suppose your Muay Thai will quickly do the job tho right?

  • @gutts077 Of course they will incorp. BJJ, it teaches grappling and ground techniques from Judo which, though they may never be used, are always good to know.

Yes, BJJ is a useless self defence tool - I am not belittling BJJ, I am stating a fact - BJJ is for sport. it's not a bad thing, the only reason I'm getting so much flack is the fact that BJJers and MMA fanboys are outraged I would dare question their deity-style, which is probably the only style a majority of those people know.

  • @Warlockerylulz "Of course they will incorp. BJJ, it teaches grappling and ground techniques from Judo which, though they may never be used, are always good to know." This seems to be at odds to what you have been stating here. Why would they bother if it's useless as you say? Why would it be "good to know"? What are you basing your theory on by the way? I mean other than the plethora of martial arts you have achieved a high level of experience in right?

  • @gutts077 And where did you get the assumption I only know BJJ and Muay Thai? Vs Multiple attackers, I know plenty of techniques applicable to a real life situation from japanese jiu jitsu (kyusho) and krav maga, of which I am a black belt in both and have used in real life, though you only hae my word on that and I do not expect you to take that as evidence without proof. ;)

  • @Warlockerylulz Sorry mate, I must have missed some of your black belts. Hey do you know Chuck Norris personally? I'll tell you my experience champ. I work security in Australia and have seen first hand the validity of BJJ on the street. In fact this is the very reason I started training in it myself. I have seen a standing guillotine used successfully against multi opponents as well as a RNC, both times the doorman kept all attackers in front of him while completeing the choke.

  • @gutts077 People need to stop viewing what I say as some personal insult - it's not. If anything, I'm trying to be imformative - Wanna take up a self defence for real life use? Take up Krav Maga or Japanese jiu jitsu, not a wrestling SPORT martial art designed for competitions and MMA

  • @Warlockerylulz It's a little ignorant on your part that you would think you could post comments like you have here and not expect some people to take issue. Ps. Good luck with your Krav Maga drills. We had a Krav Maga guy work the door one night and he was shit. Completely useless and scared. Anyway, I'll let you go. I'm sure you've got a few more black belts to add to your cupboard? KM, JJ black belt + BJJ brown belt! Hows the weather in fantasy land by the way?

  • @Warlockerylulz I take it you dont do BJJ

  • @Surrender2No1 yes, I do. It is useless in a real life setting and just a sport. People need to stop seeing that as some ultimate insult.

  • @Warlockerylulz clearly you dont have a good teacher or your not a good student, my guess you're not much of a fighter

  • @chatanwarrior I have a very good sensei and I'm a very good fighter - I just don't employ BJJ when I'm in a real life situation as the martial art is not for self defence, just sport.

  • @Warlockerylulz only because you see it that way, its all in how you train!

train like a pussy, fight like a pussy!

the nicer version of that would be "hard training=easy fight, easy training=hard fight"

  • Fedor Emelianenko??????????? He didnt engaged in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

  • This is why I roll !

  • Palhares and Genki sudo my faves<3333

  • 1:34 : Uh oh, this is gonna hurt!

    Ennio Morricone - L'Estasi Dell'Oro (Bandini Remix)

  • interesting

  • Deadly yet Beautiful...

  • This is the video I show to people when they ask what BJJ is.

  • WHATS THE SONG?

  • 0:29

  • whats the title for the song?

  • HOLY FUCK WAS THAT EDDIE BRAVO TAKING THE BACK @ 1:32 ???

  • @cocksandcobras best grappler in the world, Marcelo Garcia.

  • @cocksandcobras

    It was Marcelo Garcia.

  • Good video!

  • Proud, solid blue belt.

  • Just got my white belt today!I'm ready to get tapped out

  • There is a yellow belt in BJJ for the youngster(under 16 I believe).

  • @AcesfullKK yes as well as orange and green.

  • Yellow belt was implamented in some schools to go between white and blue, basically a smaller stepping stone. Some instructors felt that white to blue was too big of a gap for those training outside of Brazil where training is generally done every day for several hours. Its kind of like an extra incentive to keep people from being discouraged if it takes a long time to get their blue belt. I do not think you will see it in any school of BJJ taught by a traditional Brazilian instructor though...

  • IM A WHITE BELT BIATCHES

  • Great vid, inspiring for anyone

  • BRAZIL PORRA!

  • No yellow belt in bjj lawl :D

  • @Chrzanu Yellow belt is the first belt given to those under 16 years old. n00b.

  • muy bueno

  • 2:01 is probably the most impressive choke out I've ever seen.

  • Thanks...

  • @MAZ1

    Thanks alot!

I love seeing different submissions being used from the usual stuff, very cool..

    God bless.....

  • 2:06-2:13

    very impressive technique!

what is the name of this technique?

    thanks and God bless..

  • @iPodVideo99 Triangle Choke just not from the guard.

  • @iPodVideo99 Inverted triangle choke

  • heres something that helps my explanation:

When Maeda left Japan, judo was still often referred to as "Kano Jiu-Jitsu", or, even more generically, simply as "Jiu-Jitsu"..Maeda not only taught the art of judo to Carlos Gracie..Based on this judo training, Carlos and his brothers founded the martial art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

basically, BJJ is like a modified form of Judo..

it should've been called Brazilian Judo, but Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu sounds much better = D

  • BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU-IS A QUINTESSENTIAL OF COMBAT ARTS!

  • Weathermans comments aren't all true..

Gracie Jiujitsu is also called Brazilian Jiujitsu.

Brazilian Jiujitsu derived from Judo that was taught to the gracies by a Japanese judoka.

At the time, people outside Japan didn't know the difference between jiujitsu and judo and so they called judo jiujitsu..

  • @iPodVideo99 the japanese invented ju-jitsu ... the first JJ was combat ju-jitsu as they needed a way to attack people even when they had armor hence why it's about attacking joints etc. BJJ is a more modern style of combat JJ

  • "Chess is, above all, a fight." Emanuel Lasker

  • 2 months into relson gracie jiujitsu and its so spiritually and physically addictive....theres so much more to mixed martial arts than the exercise aspect. it promotes a positive mind body and soul that melts into every aspect of your life....since starting and gaining the knowledge i have ive changed my perspectives on so much outside the mats and i have a higher self esteem than i ever have...i wish i had this in high school i would have never bothered with football and track...go roll!

  • I believe the Japanese version is more stand up based with more wrist locks. My style of karate is Wado ryu which is heavily Japanese jujitsu based but we do very little ground work . I went to see a bjj club tonight and can't wait to give it a go it really is a game of chess.

  • Someone describe the difference between jiu-jitsu and Brazilian jiu-jitsu?

  • @ValueAndRespect jiu jitsu could be the general term for any type of jj (Japanese jiu jitsu, Gracie jiu-jitsu, or Brazilian jiu jitsu) Now the difference between GJJ and BJJ is GJJ is WAY more street defense oriented whereas BJJ is what some might call "sports jiu jitsu." Some say a white belt in BJJ would lose on the street to a GJJ student but win on the mats. At my GJJ school, I've found this to be untrue. We train on the ground like we'll be fighting someone better than us on the streets...

  • @ValueAndRespect therefore when people come from MMA schools or watered down BJJ schools, we found that training like we'll be in a fight is alot more helpful than knowing it's a sport. For instance, a purple belt BJJ guy came in and was rolling with my purple belt four stripe instructor. The guy put his knee up like he would in a competition to stop a mount attempt and my instructor gently knee barred him. The guy said referees wouldn't allow it...My instructor asked where the referee was lol

  • @weathermanHD ohhh i see, thanks for the info :)

  • I Dont give a fuck what anybody says. George Saint Pierre best pound for pound. Greatest tactician in the sport

  • what's this tune called?

  • Now that I look at it closely, this video does more to promote Judo if you know what you're looking at.

  • This video does a bad job at promoting Bjj

    1st Fedor Emilianenko- Sambo

    2nd Frank Mir- Bjj

    3rd Toby Imada- Judo

    4th Rumina Sato- Shooto

Most MMA fighters in this video arent even Bjj practitioners.

  • @mikey4u1984 almost all the video is composed by GSP and André Galvão, and they're both BJJ, and MMA pratictioners. Plus, the guys u talked about just were in the video for like what, 20 secs all of them?

  • Good fight spirit.....

  • Thank you both but ya when I have someone in rubber guard I'm really good... Sorry for bothering u again but now I have that figured out but how do I get out of side control into guard... And thank you for the help on full mount I use it all the time now :D

  • I love this!

  • nice :]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]

  • if you can't mount escape you don't need to be thinking about rubber guard. Thats horrible! Bad for your knees anyways

  • @baboon360, while mounted take your right leg and hook it over their left leg then control their left arm with your right arm. From there bridge onto your shoulders and roll in the direction you have their limbs trapped.

  • I have have been doing Taekwondo for 6 years now... And our Monday's class is our MMA day. Im really good at boxing and I'm pree good at sparring (Taekwondo) and in jiu jitsu I'm not that bad considering this video inspired me to concentrate on my BJJ... But how do I get out when someone puts me in full mount? Please help me :D and I need to work on rubber guard

  • @InnocentyInsane Good going, man. Keep at it. :)

  • @InnocentyInsane The more times you get your ass kicked, the more opportunity you have to learn something new. I tap all the time and i get my ass kicked tons of times in my bjj class. It just helps me learn more and more... the more i make a mistake, i can change that next time. BJJ FTW!

  • @homemovies1012 yes they will let you and try la boxing

  • Fedor is a Sambist. Sambo has the same origin as BJJ but focuses more on the throws ala judo in which both are cousins of. Combat Sambo is a little different in that strikes are allowed. Fedor is also a judoka. He has never trained BJJ in his life. All the above arts mentioned are very similar but have different focal points.

  • BJJ is like an BJ with an extra "J"...uuuuh yeah.
