A real commodity??? There tons of babies who need breast milk. The milk banks are always in need. Maybe if all the babies who need milk had it readily available then this creative idea may have a place but right now ABSOLUTELY NOT.

@p0ppy428 there are human milk banks? i doubt people even know about this. i just learned right now. and why can't they use other milks and products. most people i know weren't breastfed or breast-feeders.

@antmeans You're right most people probably don't know. Milk banks are typically there for premature babies and sick newborns who need human milk. Human milk has antibodies that other milk and supplements don't have. Most healthy babies could get by with formula and be fine. But for premature babies and sick newborns need human milk. Sometimes the mother's milk supply doesn't start right away, especially in premature birth situations. Human milk is the best thing for babies.
