I think the NSE WW (LW and standard too) is an improvement of an already great kite. The one I own is with Icone Yellow spars. I don't know if R-Sky can still supply these, but they are my favorite for NSE LW and WW. I have not flown any of them intensively, but it is my impression that NSE WW is easier to trick, and would definately be my choice.
Considering the few hours (less than 10) I've flown my NSE WW, I don't think it's worth the money... but I just had to have one :-)
@DPmama74 Thanks a lot. and youve been a great inspiration to me. cant tell you how helpful youre videos have been. very grateful.
i would love to know youre thoughts on your NSE WW. tragically, ive lost the kite in this vid (far and away my favorite) and am thinking of replacing it w a NSE WW but havent been able to find any reviews of it. it's a lot of money for me and i'd like to have some confidence that it's worth it. i'd really appreciate any thoughts.
@volitariac How much time did it take you to learn all those tricks? And what really disturbes me (I've got HQ Jive 2) Is that lines tangle arount side tips of the kite when I'm pulling any of them more rapidly. I must be doing something wrong obviously, as I've seen ppl flying Jive II almost as you do with yours.
And bdw, great idea for filming - so close to the kite - I'll pick it up for my future vids, if you dont mind ;)
@tarsus4x4 guess ive been flying since spring of 2009. many many hrs. many many broken spars. not familiar w the jive II but all kites get tip wraps. if youre just doing circles and carving curves you shouldnt have a problem. my guess is youre pulling too hard on one line and giving too much slack on the other which can spill all the wind out of the sail and put the kite on its back, then you get a tip wrap. if you can post a vid of this i might be able to give you more specific advice...
@tarsus4x4 ....try to get both you and the kite in the frame so i can see what youre doing. but dont fret about it too much. yes, youre doing something wrong but it slack-line stuff is hard. it's an entirely different realm of flying thats not very intuitive. timing and touch are everything and it takes time to feel your way into it.
the main thing is to have fun!
studying videos can help a lot. "DPmama74" has some excellent tutorials and studies of specific tricks. i learned a ton from him.
