Counselors are wonderful things because they don't know the situation and you're parents can't know really what you tell them unless you threaten to hurt yourself or others. A good counselor listens, doesn't judge, or make you feel like there is something wrong, and it's a healthy option and that way your parents don't have that weighing on them...especially if you feel really mad or sad. I have had a counselor for my issues and she's the best...wouldn't trade her for the world. :)
i remember when my parents got divorsed becase my dad was on drugs and me and my two sisters would play rock paper sisors (mind u i did not no how to play) and whoever lost had to go try and make them stop screaning at each other and i would cry and go from parent to parent and they would still scream now i have a step dad that is trying to make it a compitition to see who could get my mom (mind u im 11 and hess 40) i dont want it to be like that but my mom did say if she had to choose she would
While I haven't witnessed a parents divorce I have been through a death of a parent. Can you do a video on it? I lost my Mom when I was 7 and while my dad never remarried i still could never bring myself to accept a woman that has been living at my dad's house on and off for the past 12 years or so who has a teenager daughter and over the years her sister and 2 nephews has come along to live in the house. and i know my dad can't get up the courage to make them leave it's been hard on me.

my parents just told me they were getting a divorce and a couple days ago when i saw this video in my sub box that i would never need to watch this video but i guess it was a sighn that it was coming .... :(
My mom told us they were seperating in april of 2011 but its been along time and they are still together. My mom is making our lives so difficult. She has kicked my dad out twice. infront of me & my siblings) She is always telling me things she doesn't like about my dad & when i say that i want them 2 seperate (because of the fighting), she yells at me. If my parents were 2 seperate i would probably live with my dad cause he understands & supports me. I dont want 2 live with this anymore. Help!
@Km032396 That is really, really hard. I am so sorry you are going through this. Can you talk to your dad about it? If you feel there is no one to talk to right now, consider writing your feelings down in a journal. Just getting the sadness and anger out each day can help a lot until things stabilize and you have someone you can trust in your life to talk to. Praying for you right now. HOlly
