  • how are you able to afford all of this? Your are awesome btw. Good luck with everything! im 18 and really want to get the most out of my life. i really want to tour. Start of small.like state to state. I was thinking about a ninja 650. like what you have. I live in Pennsylvania. What do you think? is there kits large enough to carry gear for the 650. or should i just get a klr.

  • @dontworrybehappy7777 Life on the road can be pretty cheap. You can get a big bag to toss on the back of the 650r like a Wolfman

  • You are living the dream man!

  • Atlas Rider I'm following your trip with great interest, and have an important (moneywise) tip for you: keep a detailed account any way you can, and write a book. There are very few motorcycle adventure authors out there. You're lucky you can be one of them. I would buy the book. I have Neal Davis' book "Motorcycle Journeys Through Southern Mexico", from Whitehorse Press. I think you would do very well as an author, and it could finance your future trips. Good Roads to you;que tengas suerte!

  • yes new video! btw loved the footage from guenella pass

  • Oh yeah, Mississippi River = muddy waters.

  • lol you weren't to far from the hood lol. i almost went to school in STL. then i found out my roomate would have us living in a bad neighborhood. so i heading to indianna instead.

what model netbook do you have?

  • Thanks for the update Atlas. Although I got a reasonable idea of scale of that arch from the video, I bet it's even more impressive when you're right next to it. I reckon you should of taken the KLR off road at the lights and quickly nipped up over the grass to take a closer look ;-)

  • @torqsworld He might even be able to squeeze the KLR into the funky elevators that go up inside the arch, if he tried really hard and everybody pulled their feet up to their knees. :) Atlas, you're from Chicago and you've *never* gone up? Shoot, I'm a hick from KC and I've been up twice. lol ;) Happy trails.

  • Enjoying your video series Atlas! You may have mentioned, so forgive me for forgetting, but I was wondering what size KLR that you are sporting?

Thx bud, and have a GREAT TRIP!!

  • thats a Biggg assss arch! haha i laughed :)

  • Wow dejavu. Me and my friend walked across right in front of were you stopped the second time, about 3 months ago. crazy seeing the same thing from someone else's camera. lol

  • Great video Atlas,,,have a great trip!

  • My friend left London riding 6 weeks ago, he's just got to morocco, says his bum is sore. Great vid again atlas.

  • Hopefully he's bike will stand the trip

  • You didn't have the camera on "loop" when you dropped it?

  • What kind of research have you been doing about places to stay or camp out in south America, maybe as a group we could help?

  • you gotta stop with the day count.

It may come back to haunt you....in the eventual monotony of it all!!!

  • @mhks68 noooo keep with the day count

  • Cool arch.

  • you were 2 blocks from my workplace...

  • It's really weird and really cool knowing where were riding and recognizing all the streets. Felt like I was right on the bike with you!

  • "The big ass arch!" ROFL!!

  • What a great trip. I can't wait for all the video's

  • Wondering if you'll be replacing the rear tire before you head south from Chicago. When I saw, in a pre departure video, the aggressive knobby you had installed on the back, I figured that the thing would probably be toast by the time you got there. Is it?

    So far, so good! :)

  • go visit a fellow vloger

  • I like and follow your videos. I'd suggest that in addition to your Spot tracking page, you set up a page at Spotwalla dott com. That way you'll have a permenant record of your trip, since Spotwalla keeps your tracks forever.

    Charlie Borman uses Spotwalla.

  • hey!!! you cut us off without a wave!

  • All I can think of is the google streetview guys: "there it is, that famous arch, golden arches, the big arch, the archway to..."

    Have a great trip!

  • That is a pretty cool location...!

  • freezes at 39 sec

  • Hit me up Atlas! I got a sweet area to ride about and hour and a half southwest of Chicago.

  • This is good stuff. . .im really looking forward to when u really get into south america. . . .the scenery there will be insane! :) thanx again for sharing this footage with us.

  • freezes at 0:18 what gives?

  • what happened to day 6? day 5 was windmills and breakdown

  • @5xtimeslfc Day 6 was me sitting on my butt. Not very exciting footage...

  • @AtlasRider how do you upload your videos?

  • @somdeth33 I upload my videos from my netbook and whatever wifi I happen to come across. It's easy to find.

  • @AtlasRider not a lot of wifi in s mexico/panama. When you get abducted by los Zetas, we won't know.

  • @AtlasRider I would have wanted to see it.

  • @ AtlasRider ok I'll let you off :-)

  • Wasnt the arch considered the Gateway to the West? If it crossed the river wouldnt that make it the Gateway to the North?? ...lol

  • Thanks for sharing your epic journey with us.

  • Ride under the arch! How often do you fill up?
