Nah man. Caste system is a system of oppression. Label someone so you can control them. I'm not religious, but I hate labels. There are a few labels I don't mind: Punjabi, Canadian, Smart-ass, Student, and Agnostic. Don't get me wrong, I respect the ten Gurus HEAVILY, but religion is not my cup of tea.

Farming is an occupation which the Jatt caste traditionally does, agreed? This element is a part of Punjabi culture. I mention Jatt, because my family is Jatt, so it's the one that I'm most familiar with. Basically culture is made up holistically due to strata upon strata of languages, native countries, classes/castes, races, religions, etc.

So, a punjabi speaker, from India, who happens to be jatt, south asian, and Sikh. This isn't all of what his culture is: you can include food, clothing,etc

Also I see a different in if they came from poorer or from well off background, but also have seen poorer jatts behaving in undesirable ways, so maybe not cast
