I was in Miami back in February of '98. My brother was living in Fort Lauderdale at the time, and we drove around Miami and Miami Beach. We drove past Gianni Versace's mansion (seven months after he got killed there), the Fountainbleau Hotel; all along Collins Avenue. In fact, Collins Avenue is Condo City. The weather there wasn't bad; except when we were leaving to come back to Philly.

Miami has its good and bad areas just like any other city.

Just don't go there during hurricane season.

I love Miami and Miami Beach.....Miami Beach was on the verge of sliding downhill not too long after the National commercial was made. I went to M B in 1973. South Beach was a total DUMP. Retirees and petty theives. It is so full of life now! Restored and rejuvenated to its original spendor....some rude person below insinuated it was filled with undesirable people... It is visited by a wonderful mixture of people that does indeed make it at least the Florida Riviera
