  • @Synthiotics Meanwhile, Brussels has rotten away and is now poverty, corruption and crime stricken. The only reason why the city is surviving is thanks to the European Institutions.

  • @Synthiotics I totally agree with you. The socialists and the christian democrats have made a mess of the country. But people keep on voting for them because most people suffer from amnesia or are easily manipulated. Also the Flemish should reinvest the city of Brussels if they want to have a grip on the future of their land. They have abandoned their capital city because they wanted large villas with lots of space and big gardens.

  • A possible solution would be to elect a good mayor and get rid of the rampant corruption... ? When you know the mayor earns an all-including salary of about 60,000 € a month, one could expect some results. Especially in a country with one of the highest taxes in the world...

  • @PaulKTakahashi Problem is that Brussels has... 19 MAYORS!!! And they all act like they're drug barons protecting their turf.

Anyway, Brussels along with Wallonia is a lost cause as long as they keep voting for socialists. We Flemish should just declare independence and distance ourselves from this madhouse of a country where we constantly get demonized but are expected to keep paying for everything.

  • What this report fails, is in informing bluntly that most , it not all the crimes, committed in Brussels are carried out by immigrants from Muslim lands. I think that it is necessary to leave political correctness aside when tackling such a problem as crime. Ladies and Gents, we all know who are behind them.

  • @johndaubal Yes, but that's the Brussels' politicians fault because they keep importing French-speaking N-Africans to bolster their socialist & Francophone voting blocks (to spite the Flemish) without making any meaningful attempts at integrating them into general society... And stuff.

  • I've recently come back from Brussels and it's really a shithole. Some upscale areas near EU parlament are really nice but there are much more places I'd never want to find myself in. Our hotel was within 15 minutes walk from Groote Markt and it was a third world country indeed. We were afraid to go out in the evening and had to stay in the number, listening to screaming Moroccan youth outside. Shame!

  • @messysanchez Go to Antwerp next time... The main reason that people have such a bad impression is that they only visit Brussels. Personally, I'd rather die than live there.

  • @Synthiotics "The main reason that people have such a bad impression is that they only visit Brussels." should be "The main reason that people have such a bad impression of Belgium is that they only visit Brussels."

  • @Brainfart604 Is that from South Park?

  • @qwe07 much you have learned, my young Padawan.

  • @Brainfart604 LOL! I try.

  • Brussels is underfunded, both by the federal government and the European Union. Investments are only done adequately there were the seats of "very important" organisations are located.

The reality out here, is that there are two completely distinct Brusselses in one region.

  • The people who work at the criminal enterprise called the EU are the one's that should be arrested for defrauding Europes tax payers of billions. Serves them right if they get their apartments broken into, they might come to realise how the rest of us feel.
