I used to work on those jets, they're getting a bit past it now.

Bullcrap, they are by far the most advanced AWACS plane in the sky, and with their midlife upgrade they should see new engines, new radar hardware and anti missile countermeasures.

@wyzarme I meant the airframe is getting past it ya tube. The avionics and engines are fine, but the actual metal tube is getting past it!

this aircraft is so ghetto i have seen it loads of times here in the uk at Waddington airshow and at RIAT well huge aswell

Its a 707, modified with turbofan engines and an AWACS system, hence the huge radome.
