I believe these kids saw something, but they aren't convincing enough to me, by what they are saying, that they were aliens. What the kids are saying is pretty sketchy and collectively makes me think it could possibly have been a couple of small guys dressed up like that, for whatever reason, to fool the kids or were there doing something else. The black eyes that they think they saw, and from a distance, could have been someone wearing large dark sun glasses.

Kids are terrible at lying. They all gave the same testimony, none gave any indication of lying...a point so powerful that even the Harvard Professor of Psychiatry who came to interview them concluded that we all have to face the "fact" that they saw what they saw.

This isnt the only video on the case. If you havent seen the official news report posts on it...they all confirm that they saw what they saw...and we all just have to deal with it.

Ask any child psychologist if it's even possible for a large group of kids to come up with a story this detailed out of the blue, with no exposure to modern media and sci-fi and then be able to all recall the same details years after. This story was covered on SABC (South African Broadcast Corporation) investigative journalist program "Network” in 1994 when the story broke .It was also the last time stories of “UFOs" was broadcast on mainstream news or on any other program on S.A television. very interesting as this one boy said the informations just "popped" into his head, this is exactly what others described, claiming to have had contact with ETs. And these kids are giving the people of CSETI much more credibility than fotos of glowing orbs and stories from adult people who could lie professionally. Ask some kids to make drawings of any mundane event that they witnessed as a group and the drawings will turn out different. Kids have different drawing abilities and different memory for the events that was probably shaped by what they were paying attention to at the time etc. So the fact that the flying saucer drawings were different is entirely expected from what we know about psychology. But like you say, there are many common features. Again, expected if it was real.

Also, I don't understand why you are sceptical because the drawings look like "typical UFO's". These kids probably had little exposure to popular culture on UFO's so the fact that they resemble so many other reports should strengthen the case, not weaken it.

The Phoenix Light and the UFO wave in Belgium in the early 90s are so strong evidence, that I don’t understand why people are still being looked at as silly when they admit their interest in the subject. Still, I feel that there is only few footage out there that I consider “real”, that’s why I am so skeptical.

@electricfunk What strikes me with this case is the fact that it was claimed that the kids had no prior contact with media such as magazines, books, video / TV that dealt with the UFO phenomen.

That was hard to believe for me when I saw the drawings. What they have very much in common is the stereotypical conception of how an UFO should look like. What they don’t have in common is destictive features and details such as: Over all shape , number of windows, landing gear etc.

There's no getting around it. This story is utterly fascinating. If the children really saw extraterrestrials then of course that's fascinating. If on the other hand the kids perpetrated an organized and effective hoax, then their ability to do that is extremely fascinating because I think that goes way beyond what we think children are capable of doing. If instead the aliens were costumed human hoaxers, then the space craft part was an incredible, remarkable, and mysteriously elaborate feat.

I was quite taken in belief of this story in its entirety at first. Bur as I saw the full in depth interviews with the children, some of them seemed to be making up things for attention. Like I said, something happened, and there is better footage and interviews on here. The description of the little man in a black suit is VERY much like the claims of Dr.Reed 'Alien encounter of 1996, look it up.. I have since come to believe Reed is A hoax unfortunately.
