i find that the reverse backhand is very hard to use to hit back high balls to the backhand. otherwise, it does better with hitting and looping, but blocking is slightly worse. but then again, who cares about blocking hehe.
wang hao needs to learn his slams better. he loses a lot of points when those come into play.
i watched how Ma Ling and Wang Hao played in the 2008 final match for table tennis, and i learned how to use my backhand from them. I hold it the same way they do. and let me tell you, the backhand method is very very veryy effective against people i play. And his smashes are bad right now but they've improved a lot
i think wang liqin got boring to be no 1.he won so many games and be a no 1 for years and seems that he giving a way to wang hao to win the game. One of china strategy probably.
yes in china, top players loose to an upcoming star to make em number one...but they beat everybodyelse...theyve done it for years....thats how wang hao became number one....and now ma long...God knows whos next in line...lol

pretty much. but at this point (at least in my opinion) i think he should just switch to handshake because he has (at least he DID)2 different grips for his rp and his forehand.
eh whatevers though. hell become better than ma lin anyways
yes koreanchaoz is right when he says that hao is the only when with a nice rpb. but ma lin - u can see this on the new vids of him - is practicing his rpb too. andi think in the last two important games ma won against wang hao. i think there is a huge difference when its about the experience. wang liqin and ma lin maybe lose against the newer ones like wang hao or ma long, but a the long run, they are better. at least in my opinion
change to shakehand? dude, hes n1, he cant change his grip like that, it would be almost like learning everyting again.. god, seriously, that was kinda stupid. and liu guoliang was the first to use RPB i think, but not like wang hao
This is the match where Wang Liqin calls his own fault at 11-11 Game 5 saying its 11-12 Wang Hao's lead and serve, but the ref kept calling let and reservice. Wang Liqin said none of that and walked over to the scorecard and flipped over Wang Hao's score to 12.
my favourite bits are when you cant see the ball

is wang the only penholder in the olympics to have mastered the rpb? is he the first? i know ma lin uses it once in awhile, but rarely.
