  • All of these scrubs have spent years on the streets by not getting caught for crimes they DID commit. You should take a look at their records. Texas now has a policy of manadatory testing when DNA evidence is available. Here is another fact. Virtually all condemned criminals attempt to avoid bringing DNA evidence into their cases except as a last resort when all other angles have been exhausted. Why? Because it almost always proves their guilt.

  • @flaksb since you can only say "virtually all" meaning some are exonerated... so what should happen to those involved with the wrongful prosecution of an exonerated man.... equal sentence unless they can prove otherwise, life in prison if they knew their actions would lead to a life conviction or even death if they knew it could be a death sentence for the accused ? seems fair to maintain eye for an eye across the board., and it work both ways. maybe it would cut down on false testimony

  • @retrospect1983 It is not possible to have a perfect system. On rare occasions some innocent people are going to be convicted and even executed. I'm alright with that. If you want to run wild in the streets committing crimes don't be surprised when the police come looking for you about crimes you may not have even committed. And no, as long as due process was served and a good faith effort was given in establishing guilt then nothing should happen to the people who prosecuted the case.

  • murder evidence is supposed to be kept, indefinitely.

  • just they should rely less on eye witness testimony and circumstantial evidence.

Only DNA evidence should have weight, because it's virtually irrefutable. If you dont have dna evidence, you shouldnt convict.

  • this is not just in texas, this is in every county in the US. OUr legal system is run by shysters and the decisions made by morons that shysters bullsh*t.

  • Texas justice system stinks!

  • @MrCross555 amen brotha... they have high murder rates... death penalty is not a deterrant

  • any wrongful convictions should result in the judge and prosecutor being sent to death row. Watch how fast those wrongfull convictions would come to an end!

  • @Andreas748

I would send eye witnesses to death row because oftentimes they are not sure but say they are, or they downright perjure themselves just for kicks, or because they don't like the defendant.

  • It is disgusting! TX justice system destroy people's lives!

  • why are they always black i wanna know? so many americans must be still racist

  • @monmunrev123 I understand that there were alot of black people but they were not all black. Racism is still on the loose.

  • we didnt have the technology that we have now.. the eye witnesses who bore false witness against these men, should be prosecuted.. and we should stop blaming their incarcerations on public officials who had nothing to do with the case. george bush as governor had nothing to do with these rapes 3facesent... if you want to talk about someone who rapes, lets talk about clinton first.

  • thank god for dna testing. when you put your faith in man such ad a distric attorney you are gambling with peoples lives.I rather trust a machine than a human being.i think the distric attorneys and judges that play god and send people off should have to pay these people not the tax payers.

  • With this being George Bush's state, none of this surprises me at all. This is the same man who was a part of a fixed election, many failed businesses, a failed Presidency, croniism, etc. So for this to be happening in his state doesnt surprise me at all. Its actually expected.

  • with this being 2008.. they were released during george bush's presidancy, some of these men were incarcerated during clintons administration.. you are an idiot. this had nothing to do with presidency.. this behavior is actually expected for idiots.. you have proven yourself one.

  • Well in actuality, if you chose to use your full brain, you would recall that George Bush was Governor of Texas from 1995 to 2000 so many of these incarcerated persons appealed unsuccessfully under his watch. Know your role nimrod Now head back to the tea party and leave us adults to continue to converse responsibly If you choose to speak again, please make sure you understand what you were responding to. Bush was gov. of Texas for all but 3 years of Clintons Presidency

    and IM the idiot? LOL

  • actually.. yes you are.. the governor does not oversee who gets arrested for what crimes, and to be honest, bush was a very excellent governor, he did very well. otherwise, he would not have been elected twice as president. jurys found these people guilty through a court of law.. although, maybe if you were governor, you would do a much better job i assume.. if it bothers you so much.. run for office.. if not.. quit blaming people that it doesnt concern.

  • No sir, understand your politics and law governor can give pardons on convictions that are suspect and need to be addressed. The fact that these convictions were overturned is a prime example of him not doing his job. As for your tone, it is obvious that youve been in circles criticizing President Obama, so should I expect to see you running for office in 2012 against him? lol. As far as Bush being elected twice, dont think anyone forgot about Florida in 2000. He was appointed, not elected

  • hahaha you silly democrats are still whining about that election, arent you? its over.. 9 years ago.. think of it this way.. the majority of the people counting the ballots in florida at the time were democrats.. in fact, they even had a scandal where they wouldnt let the republican counters in the door during the illigal recounting.. they dropped the ball.. as for governors overturning rulings

  • lol.

This is what happens when you ASSume. Im an Independent. Secondly I voted for Bush twice. I felt Gore was a moron and Kerry lied too much for me regarding the war as if he didnt vote to back Bush. So youre wrong about me being a Democrat. I speak on Bush because I am a business owner and he didnt keep one promise that he stated he would do for us. Unless of course Im big oil and military defense contracting. You all are still upset about Obama OUR President winning.

  • , there were 7,856 recorded rapes , 1238 murders,30257 robberies, 74302 aggrivated assaults, in texas in the year 2000.. there is physically no way possible.. for one governor to oversee this much crime.. and if over turned half of them on the evidence that they had, there would be lynching.. noone mentioned obama.. thats out of your mouth.. we arent talking about socialists, were talking about crime.

  • The fact that those numbers even existed is a sad case of how he had run the state up until that point. That is some ridiculous crime right there. I also remember during that time a black man was drug by white guys in a truck under his watch. Sad again. And even if we were talking about Obama we wouldnt be talking about socialists. He is the example of what America is supposed to be. we were under the slavemaster of Bush's cronies in Big Oil and military defense contracting for 8 years

  • AND>. the only reason why there is so many exonerations, is because TEXAS KEEPS THEIR EVIDENCE. says so in this video.

  • Lord have mercy.

EVERYONE keeps their evidence. This isnt relegated to Texas.

  • Look up Kerri Max Cook's story: Chasing Justice, My Story of Freeing Myself after 20 Years on Death Row for a Crime I didn't Commit.

    ALSO: The book: Picking Cotton.

  • Thank you for posting this video.

Wrongful conviction happens far to much, with very little recognition to these victims.
