But for a Westerner singing Nusrat, this is an amazing, unbelievable performance, he's not supposed to get anywhere near this close. Yes, I agree with the sentiment expressed in other comments here: Jeff knew what music is all about. What a pity there are so few like him!

Ok so Jeff couldn't do this song as good as Nusrat, but nevertheless he is fabulous...any other pure white boy raised in California, with Irish ancestery able to sing a song NFAK did, I don't think so. As much I love Jeff Buckley, why would you want to listen to this when you have the original? Nusrat soared up to the heavens when he sang this, Buckley sounds like he's standing on tiptoes. Like I say I love Jeff Buckley in general, and appreciate it's a heartfelt tribute, but it sounds all wrong. Just cause you're a fan of da vinci doesn't mean you should paint another last supper.
