Actually it worked out fine for me. I thought Geico his insurance company was going to give me a hard time since he told them it was my fault and the police report just reported what each of us said and couldn't indicate who was at fault. They agreed with me after seeing all my photos that he hit me. Since New York assigns a degree of fault in a moving accident to each party, Geico said that he was 85% at fault and only assigned 15% to me. Since their adjuster was high enough, I was fine.
