Armchair comments. I fly this and the 700 model all week long. I have no complaints. Do I still miss being in the 737-800 daily? Yes, but these are diff class Aircraft as well. Get into a good training course and transition yourself into a nice Regional route with a good carrier. You will like the crj too!
That runway is runway 12 right that the Bombardier CRJ-900 landed on. Thats also the very runway that the massive Airbus A380 landed on. My house is only 3 miles from MSP right under woodlake nature preserve. I also have flight sim so yea... All runways at KMSP Intl: 30 Left-12 Right, 30 Right- 12 Left, 4-22, 35-17. PS: My school is under the approch airspace for 12R and 12L.
At excaclty 1:07 in this video its over Microcenter. I checked it with google earth. The lake u see closest to the other freeway is diamond lake by I-35W
I quit Mesa Airlines about year ago. I want to get on with SkyWest Airlines, so I can go back to the CRJ cockpit. I don't know for sure when they will hire again.
I didn't get hired with NWA. I worked for Mesa Airlines-United Express first officer from Jul 2007 to August 2008. I finished all of my FAA flight ratings during college and did flight instructing and also went to Delta Connection Academy in Sanford, FL in 2005. I have a four-year Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Flight Technology.
Am I the only one who noticed the idiot pilot is running around with the speed brakes (flight spoilers)out, but he keeps cobbing the power on? :)~ ...one foot on the brakes, and one on the gas. ...ps, I'm a CRJ pilot :)
I'm sure this guy was a former SaaB pilot. Hahaha JK but there are a few boys out there who seem to believe the spoilers are primary flight controls and make the little jet go down. Very annoying.
To answer your question about what FPM= "soft landing" the least FPM possible would be the softest landing. There is now way to measure that small of an amount from a VSI. For piece of mind 100-300 FPM would be firm 400-600 would be on the "hard landing" side and anything much over 600 or 700 FPM would probably require an inspection on most airline jets today. The fighters landing on carriers are over a thousand a minute, beefy gears.
hmmm...I don't genrally look at that but a good 5 -7 seconds from 50 feet to touchdown...anything more than 1000 FPM under 1000 feet and the landing is not stabilized
ok thanks, i was just wondering because i fly on the simulators, because im not old enough to fly yet, and i normally land with a VS FPM of around -20 to -50 FPM, but yesterday i pulled -3FPM in a CRJ200. Thanks alot man
hey thats cool. how do some people acully tape planes like from 50 feet away like i=on the taxiway? are they like workers or something cause that wood be cool.

why are they adding power with the speedbrakes deployed?
jfsa380 6 months ago
@jfsa380 The power is adjusted at all times in flight fro what ever flight situation in order to maintain a cirtain speed.

Cool video. I'm always amazed about how fast planes are going but you can't tell until you're close to the ground.

looks like when the piliot was doing a landing checklist he noticed that the spoilers wernt armed...they were deployed, decent landing though
nwaairlinkazo 3 years ago
You need put thrust to idle before applying flight spoilers during descent. I'm former CRJ 200,700,900 First Officer.

i thought it was kinda normal to ride the breaks, for the CRJ.
