Ah yes, I found it. I think I might try that. Without that solo it doesn`t look too difficult. I sure would be nice with some background music though. What did you think of Melancholy Mood?
That`s is a nice piece. Do you know if I can find the sheetmusic somewhere and a backingtrack. I`m not sure I can pull off the quicker part of the song. He sure does a great job. I just ordered a jazzy piece called Melancholy Mood by Tony Cliff... It`s also on Youtube playes by Dominic Longhurst. That little boy does have some talent!
I know it`s a flugelhorn, but in dutch we call it bugel. So when I first started, thats now over three years ago, I thought it was called a bugle in English.
Thanks Tina... I just posted it to keep track of my own progress when I first started. That`s now more than two years back. If sra1001 took the time to look at a recent video. He/ she could have seen the difference, but hey some people just like to complain... at least we`re not one of them. Thumbs up to you too!
Haha funny... For a beginner this was actually good. Now, after three years I already play first flugelhorn in my band, so I`m not too worried about the comment.
You shouldn't be :p. Patience is what you need to get first bugle sheets. I'm playing some parts first bugle but most second because no one else plays them... Hmm i play about 2,5 years now. My conductor just learned me how to play all the notes C C# D D# E F F# G G# A A# B or other way i read my notes DO DO# RE RE# MI FA FA# SOL SOL# LA LA# SI ... I just knew what valve's to push.
I started with learning the normal scales with C C# D... etc. I played one year of third flugel in my band... then I moved up to second flugel. I`ve played that for about one year and now I`ve been playing first flugel for a few months. And this video was taken almost two years back... at that time I had been playing for one year and 4 months. I couldn`t even read notes before. So I`ve improved very much since then. Thanks for the comment.
No, I never played an instrument before. I couldn`t even read sheetmusic before. Right now I`ve been playing for three years and I`m still learning and getting better. Thanks for the comment!

here is the sheet music
type in i remeber clifford pdf in google
youtube wont let me send you the link
its only a lead sheet and the faster part of the song is an improvisation thats not on the sheet music only the head is on the sheets
i dont have a backing track for it
but i would say just practice with the main song
its a great piece for a flugle
tho the original is with a trumpet

No, It`s a flugelhorn. It`s a bit bigger than a cornet and sounds more mellow, not as sharp.
