TheJillianThomas, I actually met him at Warped two years back and specifically asked him that. His response was "We're Christians. We're in a band. If that makes us a Christian band, then sure." He expanded to say that no, they don't label themselves as a "Christian band" and they don't limit themselves to messages about God, but that they are people who place their faith very high in their importances, so of course it's going to show up as having influenced them. But no, he says they are not.
He makes some really great points, I'm glad he looked at it from a nutritional stand point instead of the usual "animals are people too" argument". I love animals but I don't think eating meat is morally wrong, I'd love to be a vegetarian too
He probably never had a 4x4 animal style and animal fried from In-N-Out Burger ha ha. Anyway, it's cool. I like how he said, "Bacon and eggs in the morning, McDonald's for lunch and Burger King for dinner." That kind of eating surely isn't good for you, and part of the problem is that major beef production plants have corn fed beef which isn't as good as grass fed beef. Grass fed beef is better and a healthy diet will include a variety of vegetables and fruit. Fruit's just plain good anyway
Anberlin may not be on a Christian label any longer, but they were for YEARS (Tool and Nail) - but they are still very much a Christian band. If you take 5 seconds to read their lyrics, Burn out Brighter, Fin, Unwinding Cable Car - one would notice that so many possess biblical illusions and contain a positive Christian message.
He's not vegetarian,, i still think they are a great band and he's really sweet in person

@dnatnt007 The band has Christian influences, and the members are all Christian, but I don't think they consider themselves a "Christian" band lol
