You can't help but like Babs. She's pretty and level headed. When she agrees to stay at Bob's flat you know what's going to happen to her. You can't help but hope that it isn't true, but when Bob tells her "...your my type of woman." there is no doubt whatever; she'll be raped and strangled.

Hitchcock was unrelenting.

Minutes later Bab's body falls out of a potato truck in direct view of the police car following it. Unmerciful!

I had seen this movie before but found it so disturbing I chose to never watch it again, unlike other Hitchcock movies. Thanks for pointing out this scene. I don't remember it. I think I chose to forget it and the movie. But it is very effective and haunting.
