The defense of accidentally drawing his gun instead of his taser could be a valid defense, but morally it doesn't make it a lot better. Tasering the man in that situation amounts to torture. Maybe it would be easier if the stun guns were black/yellow striped, or all yellow, so that officers could tell them from service revolvers at a glance.

Either way, there were several cops there and the person was already on the ground, so the question is why did they have to stun him. I mean they must have fun doing that to people; but, is it really necessary when the person is posing no apparent risk to them or others around them.

I think we need to have stricter rules about stun gun usage.
