  • they are born like that

  • what the hell ??? animal abusers

  • @rodeosabuseanimals How is it abuse? The movement is 100% natural. I have a video of a filly (only a month old) gaiting.

  • beautiful horses, beautiful fino gaits...interesting comments even from those that obviously know nothing about Paso horses...too bad one does not research before commenting

  • so whats the perpous of making a horse walk like that? I'm just cruois, not trying to sound snooty or bitchy

  • The Pasofino is born with a very unique gait, which is absolutely innate, natural, and specific only to its breed. This gait is a smooth, rhythmic, purposeful, straight and synchronous gait, resulting in unequalled comfort and smoothness for the rider. The gait looks its best when the horse accomplishes the four-beat lateral gait with rapid up and down motion of the feet, but very slow forward motion. In Pasofino, the rider should appear virtually motionless in the saddle.

  • who is the black horse?

  • The black horse is:

    "PREMIO NOBEL DE LA CONQUISTA".

Amadeus del 8 (Resorte IV X Maria Centeno) X Obsesion

de La Conquista (Contragolpe X Maria Punales)

  • the white horse is 222!!!

  • Ok after seen this video a couple of times. Who is the white horse? Is it Petrolero? Can't be. Profeta?

  • It is the great 222

  • Love it...im a horse trainer and I've worked with Peruvian pasos, which are a bit different...I just love the paso fino (means fine step) and I'd actually like to specialize in naturally gaited horses (none of that big lick tennessee walker nonsense)...gorgeous horses here, would love to have one!

  • Cool video! I'll never forget the first time I saw a fino horse perform live - I never knew a horse could make his feet fly like that! They're such incredible horses.

  • that is so cool its so lovely

  • lovely accurate video. Thank you for sharing it.

  • A friend of mine has 3 Paso mares wo have gaited naturally from birth, we have never "encouraged" or trained them to do it, we just sit and they do their thing! Any newbies to Pasos who want to discuss, send me a message!

    Stef (UK)

P.s. Paso Finos neither run nor stomp and all ours are kept natural and barefoot. :D

  • oh and we have also found that "nice" arena surfaces are far too deep and managed to give one a bog spavin. Same principle as UK happy hackers trudging through thick mud everyday.

  • Did u spee dup the walk on you computer? Cuz thats what it looks like.

  • thats called a fino and courto. the Paso Finos do it. Their feet are supposed to move very fast, and they are very smooth.

  • I've owned/ridden Paso Fino's since I was 5 [now 23]. This movement is comepletely natural. Not every Paso move like these two fine samples, some do stretch out more than others. That's why we have different classification of the animals, which are Pleasure, Performance, Fino. It doesn't hurt the horse, riding on the concrete is fine and does not injure them when limited riding is done. Totally natural gaits, unlike some breeds.

Very nice looking horses in this video! :-)

  • Paso finos gait is natrual, but they are some are perfected as they grow older. And ive seen a fino amre named Mariquita, and her feet move 5 times faster. I love paso finos. Also, paso finos feet touch the ground very lightly, so it doesnt hurt their feet. Also, for people who are wondering, the fast moving feet is not painful. They are shaped for the fast moving, small steps. I rode a performance stallion named coloso, and ive never had more fun on a paso fino. His feet move so flippin fast

  • It's not good for them to be doing that on pavement with horses. They get splinter fractures in their legs over the years that they had to run or stomp on hard surfaces and generally get stiff-legged when they're older.

It's ten times more likely to happen with shoes. Shoes only keep them from being stone bruised and give them better traction in the earth.

Unfortunately horses are very obedient and loving creatures and they will do everything asked of them.

    Beautiful horses though.

  • ok, i believe, and this is only my opinion, so don't snap at me lol! tat prehaps it would be more comfortable for to horse to stretch it's legs, with a free flowing gait? maybe, well i'm only 12 so don't blame me if i tried, i ca't blieve the horses legs' are actually going that fast!

  • Correct Paintedhorizon...I rode one this year in Dominican and he just wouldnt stop that gait...It is very comfty tho!

  • los mejores caballos paso fino estan en colombia y venezuela

  • Nice gait and gorgeous horses yes, but also the gait is very unnatural and is for the rider's comfort only. Silly humans.

  • I feel the same way. It's so unnatural looking indeed!

    Will we ever learn?

  • "but also the gait is very unnatural and is for the rider's comfort only." This is NOT true. The paso fino is naturally gaited. They do this at just days old, sometimes hours. Before posting something like this, get your facts straight.

  • Woah, calm the hell down. While they may do this "at days, somtimes hours" old, they still need encouragement to continue doing it, just like lippizaners. Deep breaths horizon, center yourself, jeez.

  • I have to agree with Horizon here, please make sure you know what you're talking about before saying something incorrect. Humans needs encouragement and training just the same.

    Thanks :)

  • So ... you're saying I'm right? heh You say humans need encouragement and training "just the same". Just the same as the horses? Anway, I do know what I am talking about. Horses (just like dogs) have been bred to fit human standards. I agree it is beautiful (horses are my favorite), but as far as "natural" goes ... it is about as 'natural' as dressage.

  • This is natural. They're born with this gait. That's not saying that certain breeds weren't used to create this trai, but these horses do this completely naturally, from birth, without training. Training is only done to refine and perfect, not to teach something completely new that the horse would never do on it's own. Such as dressage.

  • No, they do not need encouragement to continue doing it. It's as natural to them as walk, trot and canter are to nongaited breeds. It's just a different gait. Have you ever studied pasos? Please take the time to research these things. And I am centered, thanks ;)

  • Incredible! There arent paso's in my country so I have only seen video. I cant get over how ridiculous their movement looks, I am in fits of laughter everytime I see it. I mean this in the nicest possible way of course. I know they are wonderful horses with very smooth gaits.

  • The fino gait, which is what you see above, is very interesting, but you should watch some that corto or largo, there is extension in them and they MOVE OUT. LOL

  • wow nice gait
