Your doves are so cute and lucky to have each other. I have a lone female and the poor thing coos, laughs and does the mating bow to my feet! I have tried to find a mate in all the pet stores, and no one carries a male for her. So, she is stuck with me to love. But, I do pet her and let her fly free around the house and she hops after my feet (her mates) and she nests on my head too. I love these Doves!
that noise is actually a defensive noise. it means they want their space. the wonking noise is them catching their breath ecause it takes alot of air to do that.
Ferretowner123, it probably dosent do that because there is no other dove for it to be afraid of. that noise is defensive. it means it wants the other bird to give him space
My dove laughs like that too, funny thing over the past five years I have had her only the visitors that have been drinking say hey that bird is laughing at me LOL makes me think thats why they drink, if they think a bird can laugh at them, they are really off their rocker..
My dove does this then my mom says it sound like a rooster.

My dove does this too. He has the funniest timing, too. He laughs when my friend and I laugh. And it makes us laugh even harder :3
