  • hey, please help me with something, i have this bluray player, but i do not know how to activate the INTENET TV option and get NETFLIX ... I got in the internet tv option, created an user, i return to the main menu and it still shows "active internet TV to enjoy all internet services"... please help me, how can i activate it?

    Thanks in advance

  • dude clean your fucking disc thats the reader seeking because your disk is dirty

  • @vitalsfading The disc was brand new when the video was made.

  • You know if i will need an update for the upcoming Star Wars Blurays?

  • i just tried the update. said i didnt need one. uplugged it, plugged it back in. still doesnt play black swan...

  • @duff0427 What exactly happens when you try to play Black Swan? How is the player connected to the TV? HDMI? Are you using the TV speakers or a receiver? Is the disc in good shape? You could try setting the BD-Live internet connection to Prohibit, I find it more of an annoyance than a benefit.

  • @DussoJanladde its connected by an HDMI, with just the tv speakers. the disk is brand new. I called samsung and they said they need to update their codes and send out updates to all the players. black swan is on their list of movies that will not work. i guess the blu-ray disk manuf changed a code to protect against piracy. I think its really annoying I have to wait to watch a movie, that I legally purchased, thats been released for almost two weeks for them to update their players.

  • @DussoJanladde thank for this video. it really helped me rule out problems and "sound" blu ray educated when i called samsung.

  • why does the blu ray player need an update to play a blu ray? Im asking because I'm about to buy this exact model. also do blu ray players all make that awful noise when reading discs.

  • @ckdafinest Blu-ray is an evolving format. When new features are added to newly released Blu-rays, those features must also be added to Blu-ray players, including those already sold. This is done with firmware updates, and it's not a bad thing at all. This was the ONLY time I was completely unable to play a disc without updating, and the noise only happened with this disc and stopped after the next update.

  • @SystemShocker540 oh okay I never knew that. thankfully I have internet. thanks for the review and tutorial

  • My brother just got a BD-C5600 system. We are trying to setup the network connection. the manual call for pressing the PVC button on the Router. There is no PVC button on the Router. We have the D-Link new router but no button. What are the steps you use to setup the network connection parameters? Your help is greatly appreciated

  • @itsmonti1 First, are you sure that's the right model number? It comes up as not found on Samsung's site. Second, are you setting up a wired or wireless connection? Mine uses a wired connection, I have an ethernet cable connecting the player to a network switch, which is in turn connected to the router. PBC (not PVC) is something that wireless routers may have, but is not a concern with a wired connection.

  • If i download a movie and put it on my hdd and plug my hdd into the bluray player, will i then be able to watch the bluray movie off my hdd on the player?

  • I got a new 2010 samsung plasma with that same player. Did you have any problems with 24p playback. When I set it to 24p I get a blank screen unless I unplug the hdmi and replug it back in. I have an earlier modeo samsung player and it has no problems with playing 24p on my tv, just this player for some reason. Do you have any sudjustions. I have contacted Samsung and they were no help.

  • Thanks, you've made my day.

It worked! (update made with a cd)

  • For WLAN you need an USB stick - can you use any WLAN stick or is there a special one to buy?

  • @marsupilami01 I don't have any first-hand experience with it. My Blu-ray player is connected the home network with an ethernet cable, as is everything else that supports networking. I could look up info on the WLAN adapter online, but so could you!

  • @DussoJanladde Thx 4 your answer, but I bought the C5500 today and asked in the shop - it's a special samsung adapter and it's quite expensive - i paid 49 euros for the adapter - but the player itself was cheap - only 128 euros :)

  • @marsupilami01 These players only support Samsung's proprietary wireless adapter.

  • I wished you filmed the whole movie.

  • @0629197552 Even if I'd wanted to, Youtube has that 10 minute limit.

  • @DussoJanladde Yeah i know but it is not because i want to watch the Avatar movie, it's only because at the end you filmed it from that right distance and angle and the tv screen looks so amazing even from this point of view on youtube. I have an old but still very good 100 hertz Samsung tv from 2001 and i'm planning to buy a new samsung LED 3D 8000 series later this year and there's no doubt a about that i'm getting it. That's why i like this video of yours esspecially at the end, good quality.

  • Oooh.

    Nice mount!

  • @foxh8er It's mounted, but actually not wall mounted. The mount is built into the table. My house is old and I didn't want to risk messing up the wall. The table is the Techcraft Flex37WB, which I got from Amazon.

  • @DussoJanladde Thanks for the info man! The mount looks sweet!

  • @DussoJanladde thanks for the table mount idea~! lol

  • i just picked up this player. thanks for showing this video -- i didnt realize it took 2 mins to load a movie!!! thought my player was not compatiable.

  • @iamb0rk The recent firmware update, more recent than what I'm running in the video, brought down Avatar's loading time to about a minute. Even before this, it was the absolute worst case scenario in terms of loading time.

  • I'll definitely try it out!

  • Have you tried to stream from your pc/laptop to the blu ray player? I am interested to see how that works.

  • @badlands75 Yes, both my TV and Blu-ray player support DLNA. All you need is to install a DLNA server on your PC and share your media folders in it, then you can select your PC as a source on the device, and browse through and play movies and music.

  • Mine don't make noise! Something wrong with your DVD HD. Can you tell me what is the upscaling resolution for normal DVD?
