@Iopipimps He died for our shins. But seriously, why is this video getting so much attention lately? It's been 3 years since the last person commented. How odd that people are noticing it now.
@Iopipimps Okay, I was just wondering what was going on. I've gotten like 6 PMs in as many days about the first one and I was wondering what was with all the attention after 5 years?
hogwash... just because a society embraced certain behavior doesn't mean it contributed the well being of that society. A society is like an individual... made up of both healthy and unhealthy habits or behaviors. It's those unhealthy behaviors that when unbalanced lead to a society's decay. Think Yin/Yang not absolutes... the greeks did this... so it must have been good... that's an absolute... someone in history did this.. so it's ok.. the statement lacks evidence.
Wonderful videos. I stumbled upon your channel via your cpmment on cdk007's latest video. O especially love your statement that these people are not "creationists" but "biblists". Spot on!
Why is creationism still trying to disprove evolution in america?I used to be catholic and none of the priests I spoke to doubted evolution.(they beleived evolution was more the how not why)
we dont share 97% of the same dna, thats what they thought in the 1960's. its 97% of 1% of the dna. it was once thought that 99% of dna is "junk" but recently that has been disproven.
actually thats not true since "The ENCODE project". have you heard of it? maybe you should look it up. it was once believed that 98.5% of dna was junk. yes we do share 99.4% of dna with monkeys of that 1.5% they thought wasn't junk. but recent discoveries show that it is not junk and that our dna are barely similar to monkeys when analyzed.
if this 1.5% that you are saying are 99.4% similar were 100% similar it would not make a difference. we would still not be monkeys. its the other 98.5% that makes us not monkeys.
You don't touch on how circular the morality argument is: You should believe in God otherwise you will do bad things. You know these things are bad because God tells you they are.
While I believe that morality is relative, I balk at the term arbitrary. There are reasons why we find incest repulsive and the golden rule is nearly universal.
OOOOOH and you said meerkat! YAY I love those. Have you seen that show "Meerkat Mannor"? I haven't. Oy, people are going to think I'm stupid but this is just what came to mind while listening to this. :-)
Having to do with the actual video: I think you're an excellent public speaker, and you make valid points!
Really? Thank you. I've seen Meerkat Manor a few times. I haven't made too many vids because I personally hate the sound of my voice. (It sounds so different in my head. I hear this and I'm like: THAT's what I sound like?
It's the reverse for me. My Dad's side is all Hungarian. My Mom's side are all from Kentucy and kind of scary. They all have names like Earl, Florabelle and Burble.
No, but I was unaware this was a continuation of the first debate until after the fact. I didn't know you had other videos except for the first one or two.
You misunderstood me. I think "macroevolution" and origin theory are completely useless to "public school kids." You can teach them adaptation and mutation and genetic changes and cellular movement all you want. Or teach them the rest of it when they pay for their education and can choose not to.
Hi. The problems I have with your above statement are: macroevolution, microevolution and speciation are regarded as the same thing by the scientific community. The only place you will find them with alternate meanings is in creationism/ID. Teaching adaption and mutation without evolution would be the same as teaching advanced math without physics.
The second part: The school system is important for providing general education so that specialization can follow in universities. For this reason alone, evolution must be included in science classes as it is the accepted scientific theory for explaining heredity through generations.
very well spoken

You Make a great points when your talking about evolution being taught. I think this guy puts up the best arguments. You need more views.
