Many dogs, especially pits are athletes and just taking them to the park to poop is not the kind of exercise they need. Additionally, the treadmill gives them that mental challenge that gives them a sense of having done something to earn their food and water. This helps balance them psychologically. It's a great tool. Not for every dog, but it helps in many cases, like when the owners are physically challenged and can't give them the exercise they need.

The belts are obviously self propelled and the leash is there for safety. A tired dog is a happy dog.

I dont have to put my dog on a leash to get her on a tred mail but she just jumps on but hay does this make them happy? I dont want to do anything that will upset or over work my dog. I really good to run your dogs really hard at least once a day. As a human with two leggs,you will never be able to run a dog as hard as it can run.I stay in a condo,with out a yard.I have my dogs pull me on a skateboard up & down inclines in a park for about 15 minutes a day & the I let them run freely in a park for about 2 hrs.Their stamina,strength & speed is thru the roof.And they sleep and are calm all day & night until I take them to the park for another round.A tired bully is a good bully
I intend to get a tread mill. My dogs like running more than I actually have time. Although I spend 2+ hours a day at the park with them, alot of times its not enough.

@rangedevil07 i take my dog for a 5 mile run in the morning (i box amateur level so its a quick run) and it dosent bother her she finishes and then stands ther looking at me like whats next?so iv started using a flirt pole to get her running and she loves it but i get dizzy spinning in circles while she chases it so im thinking of using a treadmill with her because after all the excersize i give her shes still nuts lol
@helnc5313 it is useful for training dogs when you have a large amount of dogs. If you are training two then hand walking in the mountains is the best way to get them fit you are right. But if you have a kennel of say 50 dogs then it is hard. Chinese dog men use the tred mill a lot. Is that the answer you required? Tred mills are useful for active kennels.

lol are you kiddin me.. my parents have a golden retriever and an australian shepherd on their farm and those two mofos will chase you on a fourwheeler ALL day long.. and im not exaggerating... 30-35mph and NEVER give up..and they are fuckin' STROKIN' it as hard as they can the whole time.. even in the hottest days of summer. A jump in the creek is all they need.
