  • I'm not Muslim, but this is beautiful to see so many like-minded individuals gathered in the same place. A unification of faith. Beautiful.

  • WOW! just wow

  • impressive.

  • SUBHAN ALLAH

  • i am against saying "amen" after surah fatiha, because you are not supposed raise your voice above the imam's

  • When the Prophet finished reciting al- Fatiha, he would say amin loudly, prolonging his voice.[Bukhari in Juz al-Qira'ah & Abu Dawud with a sahih isnad]. He also used to order the congregation to say amin: "When the imam says,

"Not of those who receive (Your) anger, nor of those who go astray", then say amin" (Bukhari, Muslim, Nasa'i, & Darimi)

  • the prophet lead the prayer, so it's acceptable for him to say "amen" loudly (al hamdulilah lillahi rubanala meen is also acceptable)

  • and even assuming that hadis is authentic (i'm skeptical of bukhari, because he lived hundreds of years after the prophet [saw]), that doesn't mean the prophet wanted everyone else to say "amen" loudly. there is a sunni mosque close to my house and everyone there says "amen" quietly after surah fatiah, in the same manner that they say the first ayah of surah fatiha quietly

  • Bukhari compiled already existing hadith that were there before him, he didn't invent any. And yes, there are some who interpret the hadith in another way, among them the Hanafis. However, those who say that the correct way is to say it out loud point to the example of people like Ibn az-Zubair about whom it is reported that he, together with those behind him, would say ameen and the mosque would ring with their voices.

  • Ibn az-Zubair isn't the Prophet though.

  • No, but a principle in fiqh is that the practices of the Sahabais were, generally, based upon the practices of the Prophet.

  • ALHAMDULILLAH. ALLAHU AKBAR

  • Mashallah, I would not mind a little house next door to Makkah. No other place in the world can rival the tranquility and peace in this city.

  • lailaha ilalah....

  • Subhanal-lahi wa bihamdih!

  • masha-Allah!
