the colossi aren't really the enemy though are they? Because the hero is just trying to save the girl, and to do that has to defeat the colossi to bring down the statues, but it never really says they did anything wrong...

@danichiki ; it's not weird, the game gives this feeling on purpose. The hero is lonely on this planet and he has to fight giant mineral creatures made of gods spirits to save his love. The slowness of the colossi gives you a chance to fight them with equal chances to win, so it makes you feel (unconscienciously) that they have also the right to be alive... It's kind of a beautiful sensation for a videogame. Shadow of the Colossus is special... =)
